Yesterday , being the 21st, of December 2011, decorations went up and lists were made for bakery goods and groceries and more. We rushed around the house decorating like fools, bells here, a wreath there, and a small tree you see. Each year is a job of decorating and then undecorating later on, but we don’t care we do it on auto-pilot, each and every year. The children are grown and with kids of their own, the grandchildren are so much fun and nice, we get to spoil them and send them home, hehehe. It is all part of what makes the Holiday Season so good.
Not all have a good Holiday, and this year it seems, too many children and adults will lose their dreams. They won’t get what they want from Santa, or his elves, nor anyone else, you see. Their parents are out of work and on unemployment or disability ort social security. Money is tight and times are tough, kids may have to go back to non-electric stuff.
As the Holiday rolls on in and today is the 22nd, three days to go, before Santa’s big HO, HO. be thankful this year to not starve, be thankful if you have a roof over your head and a warm and cozy bed. Be thankful if you have a family and friends a place to go for time to spend.
This Christmas, even if you can’t give much or receive much, remember it’s not the price of the gifts, you give or receive, nor who gets what. It the spirit of the season, the family and friends and the happiness of being alive once again. Think back to the days, when Jesus was born, he laid in a manger and was kept warm. There was food for him and a place to sleep, and his Momma and Daddy who prayed for his soul to keep!. Sometimes it is not the greatness of a gift, but the simple act of being there, that makes it all worth while. Be there for family, be there for friends, be there as a person and be nice till the end.
I wish all the a Merry and Happiest Holiday Season, May your Holiday be filled with Peace and Joy!. May you treat all children correct, whether girl or boy. May the laughter ring and the music play, and May all the World Have a Happy and Merry Christmas Day!.
