Many have heard the old song now, Bye Bye American Pie I am sure it is a classic. It has several meanings to many people and it’s lyrics, are well known. It talks of the Day The Music Died. In Musical History that can be many different days. Bye Bye American Pie, which one does it really refer to? I think it refers to the day, Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper and Richie Valens died! The music world was never the same after that day.
In my mind today though, Bye Bye American Pie, is what is facing America today. Under the trying times, we are living through. As, America goes forward, we are now facing many changes. Americans decided to Re=Elect the current President Donald Trump. American Traditions and society shall never be the same again. He is killing the American Dream, it’s Constitution and our way of life.
Food Prices rise daily, clothing costs more, medical costs rise. He is killing Medicare, and Medicaid, trying to Dismantle Social Security and dismantling our Education Department. Trump is withdrawing America from the world Stage in many ways also. The day the music died, could be changed to the Day America Died, to the same beat. I remind all, America always had an Education Department. It was good enough for many of the most famous and illustrious people we have ever had. Without the Education Department many of the most brilliant minds in history, would never have been. If it was good enough for them and us it should be good enough to keep. Our children and grandchildren, need guidance, and fostering, and knowledge, just like we did. Leave the Education Department alone!
Don’t try taking Social Security away! Social Security supports and helps millions upon millions of Americans in their old age. It gives us benefits we need to survive when we can’t work no more. It supports the Disabled, the Seniors and lets us live a life of peace, in our old age. Leave social Security alone! We paid in, we deserve it in return, when we need it.
Killing Medicare and Medicaid is not intelligent either. Without them, Americans will have to pay more to take care of their elderly relatives. The Cost of Prescriptions will go up. The cost of procedures needed by the elderly will rise. More families will find out, they must pay more to care for their elderly family members. Housing costs for the elderly will rise in all ways. Nursing Homes are expensive folks, and Medicare and Medicaid help many. Let them be, stop!
The next item I wish to address, in this is The Veteran’s Administration and The Benefits, we Veteran’s get. When no one else would go to war, or serve our country and protect it we did. When, it was time to give all, to defend and protect we did. Some lost limbs, some lost their lives, some suffered injuries that are horrendous, you want to take our benefits away? We didn’t avoid the drafts, or the defending of our country, we didn’t claim bone spurs! We served, protected and defended our Nation, our way of life, and every American Citizen who did not serve. Remember this, for in the end, when the time comes, your asses, were saved and protected by us. We gave more than some, we gave all! Leave our Veteran’s Benefits alone! We earned them, more then any politician earned their federal pension, these days. If we didn’t serve, where would America be today?
I am tired of the war on the American Way of Life. I am tired of politicians, who think the best way of saving America, is by taking things away. You want to save America, you want to save money, cut your own salaries and benefits! Lets see how you like it. when you can’t get a prescription, or an operation, or help when needed. Come on Politicians, instead of talking it, live it! Lets take away your medical coverage and prescription coverage and see what you say then. I think Americans should now stand up, rise,vote against any politician, who thinks it right to kill the above items. You want to eliminate benefits and care and education? Do it to yourself first and see how it feels.
Last and not least, this Trump Tariff Shit must stop. He was elected to lower food costs, and make life affordable. Instead he tariffs everyone he can, prices rise and we pay the cost and do the suffering. No, lets limit the politicians food, lets take their benefits away and lets make them pay. The rich don’t need a tax break either, you have enough as it is. Billionaires getting tax breaks and contracts from our country is wrong. Musk has more than enough and he has no business in our personal data. The rich keep getting richer is all that is. He has conflicts of interest and he should be banned from the data. His worth rises as the American People’s drops. Wrong! Musk must go!
