The Forgotten Military

Silently we sail the oceans and the seas,
Protecting our countries borders and it’s seas
We go world wide, on surface and below,
We fly the air, don’t you know.
Who are we, many will ask,
To that I answer with pride mighty fast,
We are the American Military forces,
We wake up each day far from home, and stay our courses,
In the middle of the oceans, feeling all alone,
We work each day and each night,
With pride, efficiency and strength,
To make it all work right.
We work each day with smarts and intelligence,
With efficiency, to protect our borders,
Our familes and our country.
We do so, each day and night,
Making our sacrifices and keeping our country safe and tight.
You know not who we be, unless you are a member of our family.
We at times regret we are not home and that our families must go on alone,
We defend their shores, we prowl their oceans,
We fly the skies and these are no lies.
We are the American Navy, The Navy you see,
We defend your borders out here at sea,
We defend the constitution, our country you see,
We defend our Republic and our Democracy.
We don’t do it for fun, we do it for all,
We do it so Americans can stand tall.
Next time you lay your head to rest,
Hold your child close to your chest,
Stop to think of those at sea,
Who swore to keep your country free.
We are the Army, Marines and Coast Guard and Air Force,Navy,
We gave our time and energy and health and peace,
So you can live, in a Republic and a Democracy,
Laugh and cry and hold your head high,
For we are the American Armed forces,
Keeping you free, never forget, never abandon, never stop fighting,
Thats what we do, to keep America’s Republic and Democracy too.
We swear an oath each and everyone of us,
We uphold that oath and we stay tough,
When we come home, when we are done,
Try to remember what we have done.
Some of us come home healthy and fine,
Some of us come home, injuried in body and mind,
All we ask for is respect, I pray for all of us,
That is what we get!
Remember as you sit and eat, even as you take a seat,
Without the American Military, The Army, Marine, National Guard and Air Force, Navy,
There would be no Republic, no Democracy,
For we give all, to keep out Nation Free.
