Health Updates and Tests

We all get tested in life, when I was a baby I suffered through 199 seizures and survived, then I went through Hyper-Activity and Attention Deficit Disorder and overcame to go on to being a service member in three branches, U.S. Army, National Guard and Navy. I went through the test of surviving those years and going on to survive 6 herniated discs in my spine, ptsd, depression and more.

I feel I am tested more now then back then, period. I suffer from depression, anxiety, ptsd, six herniated discs, plus now have sleep apnea, and now have survived lung cancer too since last August 2013. Today I went to the Doctor for a six month check-up after a cat scan and blood tests were done on me. Again, I am tested more, for while my lungs of which they took 1 and one third lobes from are fine now and clear, no sign of cancer. But, now my esophagus is in trouble and thick for some reason, and needs scoped out. And to add to the fun and games the cat scan shows a spot on my liver they don’t know what it is yet so that is an MRI coming up next. What other tests will I face and pass or fail I do not know, I just know each day is becoming a challenge in and of it’s own right.

My father God Bless him lived till only 55 and died of lung cancer, my mother lived till age 59 and died of lung cancer too. Me, I am currently at 58 years old, and unsure if tomorrow will come or not half the time, will I go past mom’s 59 I have no idea. One day, one Doctors Appointment and test at a time is all I can say. Lord have mercy on me is all I can say. But I am old, stubborn and ornery as they say and I refuse to go yet, so I shall fight on no matter what is next.

LIfe and Aging/ Second Life

Seems life gets shorter each day ya live, right I know big deal right, everyone knows that. Get over fifty and ya remember and realize it each day you wake up. The body is not as willing and able as the mind is and things start to slow down and take longer to react. Add in medical problems, such as back troubles, PTSD for mental problems, depression and anxiety, and sleep apnea and you tend to move at a slower rate as the world whizzes on by, it seems to me. Seems no matter what one does as one ages you can never seem to fully catch up to the world around you as you age. Ah well all is a part of living and for that we should all be grateful.

Next subject what does one do for fun when your closing in on sixty and not 100 percent healthy and a disabled veteran? For me it’s write, play video games, read a lot of books and build puzzles and play in Second Life on the Internet as a  make believe world to belong in. Second Life is a pixel driven realm online for all to be who they want as they want and have fun. It has everything in it, music, clubs, motorcycles, cars, boats, horses and games galore. You can Dj in it, you can play games like Putt Putt, Bowling, and lots more. You can visit other lands and people you would never meet in real are on there. Amazingly it makes one forget the pains of real life and gives one a place to imagine and enjoy other people and more. You can teach and learn, you can create a world of your own, or just create things to sell and make lindens on. But Lindens are needed once your in the world and you can earn em through many ways from free games, creating and selling, and  much more. More people should try it and see what they think!

Hump Day Thoughts

It Wednesday again folks, yes we are halfway through the week! Hard to believe when time tends to go by so fast isn’t it, feels like yesterday was New Years Day! But the world will keep on spinning long after all of us are gone or have killed ourselves off by foolish bullshit we do as humans. No other species on the planet is so self-destructive as human kind, we kill off the animals, the planets, we pollute the waters and the air and than we sit back and blame it on everything but ourselves. Time will tell the story of being living on a world blessed with so many fine resources, but who ruined it for themselves and killed themselves off. The only question now is how long it will take and will mankind accelerate the process or work to prevent it from happening?

That said and done, I do not look forward to cat scans every six months and blood tests, but I have to live with it as a cancer survivor now. All survivors deal with the chemo, radiation of cat scans and MRIs for check-ups and more. It’s crazy but how else will you know if it comes back to bite ya in the ass so to say. Cancer is a bitch!

Final for today; My story is out in book form on Amazon’s Kindle E-Books: I did 41 small stories into books of different kinds each. So look for them folks and help an Old Disabled Veteran make a few bucks to survive will ya!

Concerns

Concerns abound in people’s lives around the world today. We still have slavery in some places, we have wars still going on and people dying of Aids, and more. The Ukraine is falling to pieces, Russia is stepping in, America is warning and Russia is in return too. Nedd I remind the world and America and Russia too, we had two World Wars already where millions upon millions of me and women and children died for stupid reasons, lets not do it again, Please!

Other Concerns the world’s economy. America’s economy, education, social help for needy people and more folks. Can we all wake up and realize that there are too many poor and unhealthy individuals in the world and someone needs to help them, that means the healthy ones and the ones with money should start doing their parts Sadly, it has become a me, me, me world and fuck you. In the old days of the 60’s, 70’s it was we, we, we, why is now a me,,me,me society and fuck you, because we have become too damn selfish! Wake up folks!

Final Concern today, people like myself who live with cancer over their heads and how we survive and carry on. My wife had breast cancer and I sat through her operation praying she would live, and through her chemo and radiation treatments too for a year, she is still here Thank God with me after 7 years later. Me I was diagnosed with lung cancer in August of 2013 and had one and a third lobes of my right lung removed in September of 2013. I survive today, but like all cancer victims I must wonder for how long! I was scheduled for a check-up cat scan recently and had to go down and give blood for it. Upon two days before I was called by the Hospital cat Scn people, what they said was they needed to reschedule my Cat scan when I asked why, seems some Doctor sheduled a second scan over the first and they will be doing both at once. What does it men I do not know, but obviously they found something in the blood tests they will be looking for. I only hope it’s not much. I hope to survive all of it but no guarantees. Ah well life shall go on no matter what!

        Finally for today I leave you with the link to my latest story on sale on Amazon E- Books;

Disabled veteran’s and Writing Stories, Poems and Little Books and Why!

Many Americans, serve their country, and come home healthy and fine, many like me come home with PTSD, and physical aliments like my six herniated discs in my spine, depression, aniexty, and stress and more. Some lose limbs and others their minds serving the country they believe in each day they can. I did so for 16 years and as a Disabled Veteran, I find it rough at times to make ends meet, so I dabble in writing poems, book, and stories and trying to make a few extra bucks off of them to survive in life today.

I wrote now 41 different little books, of all nature, from Murder Mysteries, to Love Stories, to Real Life stories that happened in my life, to of course Military Tales too. each one reflects something in my life that happened or I remember as happening and I document them in this way. A few are well made up stories from cloth so to say, where I came up with an idea nad it became a story or little book now.

My latest little book is 30 pages long, and is about a sailor trained to become a Seal and sent into Alaska on a security Mission, and he barely returns after meeting a deadly russian foe. The Blackness in the story has to do with head injuries he incurs and medical problems he didn’t know he had.

Blackness In Alaska——- http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IHY5LCS can be found here on Amazon’s E-Books and on CreateaSpace too. I hope some will try it and leave some decent reviews too. An old Veterans like me at 58 trying to make ends meet can use some extra income and a chance at writing more!

I also want to Thank all who bothe rto read my blog when I do write it, which is now spaced out a bit due to me getting older and my recent bout with Lung Cancer in August of 2013 and the operation to remove one and one third lobes of my right lung. So my life continues on as I keep writing and doing my thing, I hope some will find them worthy to buy and read.

Music Lover I be/ Reba/ Veterans

I am now 58 years old and have seen many musical singers and artists come and go in my lifetime and every now and then I am asked who my favorite artists are of the modern era for Country Music, Rock and Roll and Folk, But since I do not listen to modern rock and roll, I do country these days and grew up on it is all.

I have seen artists in concert starting with Neal Diamond, then Billy Joel live, Trace Adkins and The Beach Boys. I come from an era that music is music not just rap or madding rock with lyrics I can’t understand. I loved groups like Seals and Crofts, and singers like Harry Chapin and Jim Croce,  their music was about a life like mine.

So i was asked recently who would I love to see live in Concert just once in my lifetime, if I could. One person comes to mind and I have loved her music and voice from the first moment I heard her, her name is Reba!!!!!!! Reba has the best voice i have ever heard and her voice is like the sound of angels to my ears.  her performances make me want to dance and sing myself as well as smile ear to ear and she is one great looking woman too.

If I had the money I would love to see a Reba Concert live and meet her just to say thank her for the years of musical enjoyment she has given me as a fan of hers. But my days of going to concerts are over for  money is tight and I am a disabled american veteran and could never afford tickets to such a show. I gave 16 years of my life serving my country as a Soldier, Guardsman and Sailor, yes I did three branches I failed at the first, but went back and made up for that failure. Now I have 6 herniated discs in my spine, PTSD from service and childhood and much more to deal with. But I am never ashamed  of my service and discharge which is Honorable. But at 57 last year I was also diagnosed  with Lung cancer like my parents before me, one died at 55 and the other at 59 and I am currently 58. My step-father also went at 59 from cancer too, it seems to run in my family for me. I shall hope for a longer life though and so far so good without chemo or radiation needed, although I am down a lobe and one third of my right lung. I survived and will for as long as I can, I am sure.

So the next time you take a walk at a Mall, Park or any open venue and you see a man walking on a cane, or limping or bent over in pain or having trouble breathing in anyway think about the American Veterans whom served not for their own benefits but to protect the loved ones they left behind at home and came back home to.

Newest Story coming out, Blackness in Alaska!/ Politics/Military benefits Cuts, NOOOOOOOO

My newest story is called Blackness in Alaska. It’s about a sailor recruited to become a Seal and sent on a mission in Alaska. security has been breached at the United States Borders in Northern Alaska, one man is sent in to find the people responsible, it the russians! And its Rockin Randall razor who is sent and barely comes out alive! It’s not being compiled and hopefully released thru Create A Book on Amazon. we shall see if it is any good once done. I hope it is!

Next, politics in America is gearing up for the 2014 mid term elections now and the parties are coming out swinging at one another of course. But before all decide on who will win the 2016 Presidential Election, we must all decide on whether it was smart to divide the House and the Senate by party lines and end up with stalemate in Congress! What do you think of Congresses actions or inactions during the last 6 going on seven years? don’t you think America has suffered enough stale, non movement government tactics already and that we need to get things moving again? Vote out those who vote no on everything, or those who try to blackmail or control and stop advances from happening!

Final Statement for today from me folks! The United States Government asks for volunteers for the military each moment of the day and night and men and women take on the job which pays little, but bring prestige and promise for their futures if they survive it. Don’t let Uncle Sam cut Military Pay, or Benefits for anyone brave enough to serve please! If you think they serve for their own purposes, or because they want to advance themselves without care for anyone else, your wrong. Ask any Service Member why they serve it’s to protect the nation and loved ones they have at home, not for money or glory. Let them have their commissaries, there medical and dental benefits for live under Honorable discharges. Don’t take anything away from those who served properly and Honorably!

Why I write !

I have given life stories to lil books, that are real and happened in my time. Stories as I saw them and see them today in my eyes and mind. One can not change the perceptions of what happened in their own mind, but accept, explore and try to understand them. I do my writing alone best and sometimes yes I create stories that are not based on reality too. My mysteries are all made up by me and my poems are old and from the heart from years gone by. Each story i tell, poem I write, is for me a way to relive the past, to allievete  PTSD problems from childhood and service times, or just messages meant to touch my children and grandchildren in the future, in someway.

Why write many have asked if all your writing is not all real life stories or based on real life.? Well I hope the above answers that for all who read my works.

Thanks Again for reading my Blog and Stories and Poems. I may not be as professional as others, nor do I have an editor, but i try anyway.

Currently I am working on a book, I am calling Blackness, I am in a Chapter 6 now and over 9,oo0 words long. Hopefully, when I finish the adventure and story, some will like it and buy it. We shall see!
