Wails of an ADDHA Child

Wails of an ADDHA Child

The sounds of a child in pain are unmistakable and the visions of one in pain stick in our minds all our lives, like scars from a cut of a sharp knife. I know many who have survived these pains and scars, but of them all, I think the one that counts the most to me, is my own daughter, her cries still echo today and will for her lifetime I am sure, at least in her mind. Can a father ever truly understand a daughter, who seemed such a problem child and still seems so as an adult these days?  Hard to believe, but her screams and emotions and feelings are on the surface of her being and in her mind and they may well be there for her whole lifetime.

She had her own way, as a baby, we gave her the best, her own room, furniture and clothing, toys heaped upon her and presents too, well-loved from the day of her birth, but you wouldn’t know it today if you saw her. She looks so depressed and worn out, like a woman at 30 who went through hell, but she never really did, she portrays it well though. Eileen cries out like a siren in the old days. A siren that wails and wails on and on, but makes that noise at a high-pitched level that it goes through you at times and chills you to the bone. I know she suffers from Attention Deficient Disorder and Hyperactivity, we took her in for treatment and she was put on Ritalin at the young age of 6.      .

I remember when she was born in January of 1982 I sat down and wrote a poem about her that I called A Child of The Stars. It went like this, she is a child of the stars, and she can be whatever she wishes. A doctor, a lawyer a chemist or a thing of beauty like her momma is, yes a Child of the Stars she can be whatever she wishes. That was my intentions for Eileen and what I wanted for her as her father

Her siren call and wail started in the 1980’s and still continues today while she lives with her daughter and lesbian lover in Pittsburgh’s South side. I see her now and then when I get to Pittsburgh, Pa. and when I do I still feel the sting of her siren wail, when she calls me by my first name instead of dad. It pulls at my heart-strings.

Her siren call would come across state lines to catch me unawares after I left her mother and we went through divorce. Little did I know what was coming but, if I had known, I am not sure what I could have done differently, her siren wail of a person for attention, almost cost me 20 years in jail.

July 1989, Portsmouth Naval Hospital, Portsmouth, Va, I was a Second Class Petty Officer with the job of  helping to run the Bachelor’s Enlisted Quarters on the Hospital base. I had been there a year after a severe injury onboard a ship, where I ended up with 6 herniated discs in my spine, and I was under treatment. I had fought for the prior 7 years with The Navy and the Orthopedic Doctors over my spinal injuries and the possibility of surgery. The wanted to fuse my discs in my neck and lower spine, I refused because I wanted to be able to walk. After 16 years of service to my country, and 6 herniated discs I finally lost the battle to stay in, on July 24th, 1989. I was discharged under Medical Conditions, Honorably.

I was collecting unemployment and thought I should find a job easily. Nope that was not to be, so by October of 1989, we couldn’t pay our mortgage on our home in Virginia Beach, Virginia and were force to let it foreclose and move.

My wife suggested we go live with her mother until we could get on our feet, I agreed, big mistake. Thinking back, I should have known better than to agree to this one but, again a man does what he thinks is right.

Back at the end of July, I had come home from a job hunting trip one day to find my wife on the phone in the kitchen crying as our daughters played in their rooms. When I asked what happened or was wrong at first she refused to tell me, then she blurted out in tears her parents were getting a divorce. When I asked why, I got shocked, her father, as his kids were growing up, sexually abused all four of his kids.  . Right then and there I should have looked for mental health help for her, but she refused to get any and from that point things went downhill. Eileen was 7 years old in 1989, and she watched everything as it happened

April 1990, Pittsburgh, Pa., we had now lived in my mother in laws home since October of the prior year. I struggled in Pittsburgh to find a job finally getting one in March of 1990 as a plumber’s helper; it paid a lousy 12 bucks an hour. On pay days I handed my wife my paycheck and never asked for a penny, we had the girls I didn’t care, I was providing.

Until April 13th, 1990 all was well. Then I came home to eat and take a shower and watch some television, before bed, and got hit with a jolt. My wife looked at me and said she wanted a divorce!

The following morning I got up at 6 am and had coffee and made my lunch, as I finished, my wife woke up, I looked at her and asked her one more time, are you sure you want a divorce, yes was all she said, I said ok I would take care of it and got my paycheck from my boss, told him I was getting a divorce and I couldn’t work. I drove from work to a bank and cashed the check, then to where my wife worked. I asked her again if she was sure, she said yes, so I left. I left Pittsburgh, Pa. on April 14th, 1990, and came home to Connecticut, I never got to say goodbye to Eileen, she, was in school.

When I arrived in Connecticut I went to my parents’ home, and they took me in. They gave me a room to sleep in and a place to stay till I could get on my feet again. Unknown to me, was the fact my step-father was dying of pancreatic cancer. My step-father died in October of 1990 as I was going through my divorce, his advice to me was save your money you’re going to need it, he was right. At the same time he was dying, my siblings and I were called to Waterbury Hospital that July 1990, as we rushed in thinking it was dad dying now, we were ushered into a conference room in the hospital. Sitting at the end of the conference table was mom and her doctor, the doctor told us, mom, was dying of cancer also and had about 18 months to live. We lost both parents within one year and two days of each other.

December 1991, the 15th, I came home to my parents’ house where I was still living with my youngest brother, it was the evening. I had just gotten done watching a program on television, when a knock on the door got my attention. I opened the door to find two police officers standing there. I asked if I could help them, they asked my name, the next thing I know I was cuffed and under arrest. The charges I never knew until I was in a cell in the police department, they shocked me to hell. My daughter had told her mother I sexually abused her and beat her. The charges were Assault and Sexual Battery , my nightmare began with that arrest.

I had to go to trial in Virginia Beach, Va. It would be 4 months later before I was released and cleared, after a prosecutor caught both, my ex-wife and Eileen in lies. But I almost got killed in jail by a mass murderer who was in the same cell as me. He found out the charges I had and set all in jail after me, I had to beg to be moved to a private cell, until I went back to court. Her wails had gone off again and this time I almost paid with twenty years in prison. The Prosecuting attorney saved my ass, by catching on to it all.

She will be thirty come January 2nd, was 7 in 1989, when I left Pittsburgh, Pa. and lived in that apartment with her mom, sister and grandmother and Uncle. Listening to the tales of what my ex-wife’s father did to her and her siblings and what the grandmother said too, she then made up a story of me doing the same to her. Sadly enough, it almost, got me.

August 2006, I got a call from my youngest daughter, , she was getting married, and called and asked if I would   pay for her wedding gown, yep, if I get an invite. I hadn’t seen either of my daughters in 14 years at the time, away we went my second wife and   I, to see my youngest get married in Pittsburgh, Pa in a Park. We spent 3 days there, in a hotel and saw my eldest  and her mate. And we met my eldest granddaughter, that year too, as she stood staring out the front window of her home, waiting for us to arrive She is a doll of a child and smart as all get out, she is a great kid.

My eldest daughter,  and I,  get along ok, but you can feel the tension rise if we are together in the same place too long. She has never said she is sorry for her wail and call for attention that almost cost me 20 years of my life, and likes to talk like her mates father was her father, since I was never around and calls me by my first name. My second wife looked at her and told her, this is your father, wake up. She will never be the little girl I knew as a baby and young child, but she should at least not let her siren go off anymore or let us hear her wail.

I love both my daughters equally, and always will, but, all I can hope for is a day when Eileen will say, I am sorry dad. Maybe someday it will happen, I know not when. I shall survive as I always have and so will both my daughters I am sure, today, I have now 2 grandchildren in Connecticut, twins, one grandchild by Eileen and Leslie has produced 3 grandchildren plus a step one too, total grandchildren number 7 now. My life goes on, but, I know, someday soon her siren may go off again, and I am fully aware now of the possibility of her wails being false!

False accusations can destroy people, be careful of that little child’s siren and listen for when she wails. And hope someday by others tales, your child doesn’t wail and make you spend time in jail, for something you never did. Because of  her siren and the way she did wail, I live in fear of lies that can put anyone, in jail. I passed the ADD HA  on to my daughters it runs in families, but, my wails never put my parents in jail!

Happy Birthday to my Daughter!/ Politics for All

Happy Birthday to my Daughter!/ Politics for All.

Happy Birthday to my Daughter!/ Politics for All

January 2nd, 2012, hard to belive but here we are!.

Well, each January 2nd, I stop and think of my eldest daughter, Eileen Marie, who made me a father and a proud one too. She was born way back on this date in 1982, after I walked her mother around for hours to get her to be delivered. Finally she decided to enter the world on the 2nd day of the year and made me smile and cry with joy. Happy Birthday, to You Eileen and May your 30th, be just as happy and loving as your very first was!.

The New Year begins and tomorrow so does the Presidential Race and fight for Glory and Position and Power. Personally speaking I believe, we should skip the whole presidential Debates and Primaries and just stay with who we have and give him a chance to finish what he has started, turning it all around.

But the first caucus will hit in Iowa tomorrow and the televisions, radios and papers will be filled with the statements and fights and winning and losing by the Republican candidates. Once more, this long drawn out all-american process begins and the American People must listen to so much bullshit to get to the facts. I think if someone is serious about winning the President’s job, then they should all learned to speak with straight tounges, honesty and common sense, tell us the truth and what you will do to fix it all is all!.

I care not if, Mitt Romney doesn’t like Ron Paul, or Rick Perry or any other candidate, fight on your own time on the side ok!. I don’t care if Newt Gingrich thinks Ron Paul id dangerous, Rick Perry can’t speak straight, Michelle Bachman is a woman, Jon Huntsman didn’t play in Iowa or any other such crap. I want to know what you can really do, to fix the economy, create jobs, lower housing costs, costs of living, health costs, fix the social security system and Medicaid and in the end make America the power we once were once more. Bring back our credit rating, bring back manufacturing, stop other countries from stealing  our jobs and in the end stop illegal immigration and make the system work once more.

Sadly, the Presidential Race for the Republicans has not produced any answers for the above things and not one candidate can honestly quote a full plan with true and honest results for any of it, can they? When will Americans hear the truth out of these candidates running for President, including our current one? It is an American custom it seems to baffle the people with political bullshit to get elected then get in office and not be able to do what they promised. sad isn’t it?

Well, enough of that subject for today!. The Politicians and the Newscasters shall continue no matter my opinion or reasons for not wanting to hear it anymore!

God Bless America and May we make Congress work once more for us all! November is coming faster than any of us will want, if we are all smart we will indeed vote out the ones holding offices now in Congress  and replace them with ones who will compromise and make the system work once more for all!.

2012- Begins-Welcome

A new Year, a new beginning hopefully for all!.

Like a new-born baby sticking its head out of a womb, 2012 begins with no knowledge of a past and no sight of its future. It shall make its own in time like all good children do.

For me, 2012 marks, 30 years since my eldest daughter was born on January 2nd, 1982.  I love both my daughters very much but I don’t see them much due to the divorce and distances and financial problems. I just want to let my eldest daughter to know, I love her so and as much as I do her sister, but we can not communicate the same. Sadly there is a  distance between my eldest daughter and I, and I wish I knew how to overcome it all.

That said so the world can now see it, onto the next subject, the beginning of the real run for the White House. The Republicans begin their ascent or in some cases descents into the madness of this race for power and prestige. Who will get the Nomination on the Republican side? Well in my opinion, the race is down to a very few at this moment in time in all reality.

Mitt Romney has been Mr. Steady from the beginning of it all and looks like a strong possibility right now. Than there is Rick Santorum who has come charging up from the pack to challenge Mitt.  These two look like the two possibilities out of a pack of candidates running currently.

Ron Paul I would say will not win or get the Nomination, too radical and liberal for a real Republican. Rick Perry is a hopeless candidate lost in the woods and too far out of his safe zones to even come close. Michelle Bachman makes some very good points in many areas, sounds presidential, but as we all know, if the Democrats would not give their nomination to Hillary Clinton, don’t expect the Republicans to give theirs to Mrs. Bachman, she is no, Hillary Clinton.  Newt Gingrich, carries far too much baggage to even be a serious contender here and is far too gruff and rough to get any nomination. Then there is Jon Huntsman, while he at times sounds like a straight shooter and an honest man, he lacks the experience to manage the country except in political affairs.

By the time the Republican Nomination happens expect one candidate to remain standing, whether that will be Mitt Romney or Rick Santorum , that depends on what the Republicans really want as their standard-bearer. An old reliable steady  like Romney, or a slightly new one in Santorum. Your guess is as good as mine in this thing, but, at least the choice will be there.

Can Barack Obama, who we already know will be the Democrats candidate as the Incumbent win reelection to a second term? Did he do enough to help his country and promote it and is he strong enough to get a second term? The American people must determine that, my suggestion for President Obama, bring what you have done to the table and let America know what you have accomplished and why? And what you couldn’t accomplish and why also!.

As 2012 begins to unfold, I think back to something my step-father said when he was dying: Do not grieve for me son, my time has come, I shall be gone. For you who are younger the minutes shall pass, the hours and the days, soon becoming months and years and taking your memories of me away. Live life to the fullest, enjoy it all, love and laugh and have a ball, you only live once after all !!!. So welcome 2012 and May you bring us all peace and happiness and some joy!

2012, Promise and Hope

Wave good-bye today to 2011, it ends at midnight tonight!. As we all know today is indeed New Years Eve. Here in Connecticut I woke this morning to rain outside and a chill in the air. It seems to fit 2011 as a year, it was a cold, damp, ragged year, filled with ups and downs and very few solid gold moments of pleasure and fun.

First and foremost I want everyone to be careful, don’t over do on booze or drugs, or anything else. Last till 2012 begins ok, don’t die as you bring it in!.  A new Year can be refreshing and you can indeed clear up problems from the old one if you try hard enough. Of course as we all know, no amount of partying, drinking, drugging, or anything else will wipe away mistakes made in the prior year, but, at least you have learned what not to do twice.

Lets me say, I hope 2012 will be the year in which humanity will learn to live in peace the world over, America will solve its financial crisis like adults and pay its bills. The middle class in America will get a full chance at recovery and make it back and we recognize Global Warming is indeed killing the planet and us with it, and we clean up our act. Across the world in so many time zones the clock shall strike midnight, and a new beginning is in the promise for all, lets hope to God, that we are smart enough to do what is right to save our planet, ourselves and to make a better world period.

2011, brought the deaths of many famous people as we all know, the list goes on from Elizabeth Taylor to Steve Jobs and many more. As Americans lose our heroes, from many different professions and areas, we tend to find some replacements still around out there. Fame though is a fleeting item and can indeed disappear as fast as it came. Many don’t want fame and hide from it, I am with them on that point, why let the world stare into your private life and make a mess of it for you?

Everyone, or at least many use the New Year, to make resolutions and to try to stick to them, some of us really did reach them and accomplish what we wanted. I beat smoking, cigarettes were a part of my life for 30 years, and I overcame and stopped. I saved that money for more necessary things in life and some pleasures.

So, as 2012 begins one minute past midnight, tonight, stop and think what you can do to make the world a better place to live for yourself, your family, your friends and the planet too. Lets pay attention to the world environment, the populations, and the materials we waste and use up for no reasons.

2012 will also be the biggest year for American Politics in many decades if you stop to think about it. We are faced with the beginning of the year-long process of choosing an American President once again, or keeping the one we have. Americans, you want to make an intelligent choice when you vote this 2012, not a silly one.

America needs a strong, smart leader, with compassion, intelligence, and able to lead and stand tall. America needs someone who will compromise, listen and help us all, to a better life and place in the world and turn around the economy and more. Dont’ let people tell you the current President didn’t work for the people, because he sure as hell has. He has worked to save Social Security, Medicaid, he has come up with a Health Law that needs time to take effect and helps millions. He pulled us from Iraq and Iran and is working on ending Afghanistan, all wars we didn’t need and still don’t want. The morasses of war will destroy us that is for sure. America must stop policing other nations, defending other nations and entering wars we don’t belong in.

In closing, 2011, was a  year filled with Dictators falling, criminals caught up to, terrorist killed and removed and more. I know we must defend and protect our own and our borders, let’s do so correctly and peacefully as possible. One final message on 2011, across America this country has been built on immigration, a flux of new comers who come in and bring different talents, occupations and knowledge. I understand the millions out there who came here illegally and broke our laws. We don’t need to make a bigger mess of this, and try to deport all of them at once, and be marked as fools in society period. We do need to form laws and enforce them to prevent further influxes and to protect out borders. The ones who are here over a period of time we need to make citizens and make pay their fair share. The ones not here yet and trying to get in, we need to make them do so legally, period.

That all said and done, I want to Wish All,  Americans, and the World,

A Very Happy New Year, and I hope one filled with Promise and Hope!

New Year WIshes and Thoughts

2011, is coming to an end, tomorrow shall be New Year’s Eve, people will be celebrating all over the world. Out with the old and in with the new, it seems each year it’s the thing to do! So as the big evening comes around I want to wish all a Happy New Year and a Safe one too!.

Unlike many people in the world and especially in the United States, I have never partied New Years Eve away. I use it in a different way than most, for I sit at home and reflect on the past year and those before it. It gives me time to think about what I have missed, what I should have done, mistakes I may have made and what I would do to change things if I could.

Reflecting back, sometimes helps you determine the future, determine what you may want most or what you did wrong and wish you did right most. We all have those moments in time I am sure, when we become sad about something we didn’t do correctly or we had control over but let it slip by. The important thing is to reflect on it all and remember the ones you wish you had changed and not make the same mistakes over again!.

2012, should be a year of changes in America I would hope. We need improvements in the economy, the jobs and housing markets, and in health care too. We need to pay attention to the environment and global warming, the glaciers are melting and in one hundred years there will be too many people for the land masses to hold as the waters rise. The climate and environment are changing at unbelievable rates, and humanity is not only destroying the planet by taking so much from it, we are polluting the hell out of our atmosphere, we are indeed committing suicide!.

I am not in a leadership position anywhere in the world, but those that are should consider and think about all I am saying.  Yet I know as do billions of other human beings, my voice is like one tree falling in a forest, no one can hear or see it, yet it still tumbles on.

Across the world in less than 48 hours, a New Year will begin!. I have my ideas on what it should bring for my family, my friends and loved ones, do you? Let the New Year be Prosperous for all, Awakings for Politicians and Leaders so they can see Peace and make it last!. May 2012 bring Hope and Joy, and Love to All. May Mankind be kinder, may we all have patience, may we all find a way to Compromise!.

Breaking Down Republicans Chances!

Breaking Down Republicans Chances!.

Breaking Down Republicans Chances!

In a world filled with doubt, hate, and despair and fear, we go on. What shall it bring for 2012?. Will there be more factories closings, more store closings, and fewer jobs again? Will all costs rise and no one have a way to pay their way anymore?. Congress needs to wake up and realize too many unemployed and hurting Americans need their help, and to move their asses to help all.

Next we need to keep our eyes wide open for attacks upon America on American soil!. Too many enemies exist when you’re a country like America trying to lead the way to a better life. We don’t always have people agreeing with us and that causes another problem of contempt, jealousy, and hate. These thing pile up and can boil over toward us, big time.

On a lesser note, but not unimportant of course, comes the 2012 Election Cycle in full tilt for the Republicans. The remaining ones are  fighting it out, with five days left to go. Foolish as it all seems they do need to produce a candidate to oppose President Obama. When I look at the match-ups they can make, I wonder why they even bother really?. The candidates they have come up with, seem unable to go toe to toe so to say with President Obama, without imploding upon themselves,

The Favorite when this started and the leader of the pack at the beginning, was Michelle Bachman. She spoke tough, pure and honest and stood tall. But that being said she has also faded from the leader position to the back of the pack, why, because as we all know the Republicans could never nominate a woman.

Then came Cain, then went Cain. You can’t be running for President under the big lights and pressure and being messing around with the opposite sex or any sex. They will indeed pull the rug out from under you, like they did Herman Cain. Sadly Mr. Cain did not realize how much public exposure he really had, did he?

Then riding his pony and trying to be tough and bold comes Gingrich, the former Speaker of The House. As soon as I saw him I saw the trouble that can follow this man about. His three marriages, his past record in  the government and more. I knew than, like I do now no way can he get the nomination, too much damage control needed here and too reckless. You can’t try being bullet proof, when your already hit with bullets so many times it’s like swiss cheese armour!.

Mitt Romney has held steady at the twenty-five percent range from the beginning of this primary run. Holding steady is ok, as long as it keeps one in the running. Sooner or later though his share will have to go up higher to beat anyone out here. Romney does have some baggage from prior runs and his term in office in his home state. Yet at no time is any of that bad enough to run him from this race. So I call Romney Mr. Steady right now and we shall see what happens next.

I believe by the end of the New Hampshire Primary the Republican field will thin out. Rick Santorum may be able to hold on a bit, now that he has the lead in some states or areas, but his name recognition factor and over all lack of experience will more than likely slow him and eliminate him in the near future sometime.

Then we come to the surging, and popular elder statesman, Mr. Ron Paul of Texas. His liberal republican views and ideas are dangerous to himself and the country and we all know America would not vote him in. Yet he keeps trying and trying, his views for a Republican are so far out there and off the mark, people tend to listen, clap and then laugh before he leaves the stage. So,I doubt America will allow him to lead, nor will his own party give him its nomination.

That leaves Mr/ Rick Perry of Texas it’s Governor. Well in my opinion, even before you get to this first primary in Iowa, Mr. Perry should drop out and go home. His speeches are jokes on the record, people laugh at them. His lack of control is crazy and silly, he is like watching a roller coaster ride go bad on a clear day, sad indeed. He has no idea what he is doing or how deep in he is getting. He can’t and won’t win the Republican Nomination and he knows it,as does most everyone else watching. So, Mr. Perry save yourself the debts and public humiliation and go home now I say!.

In the end the Republicans will be forced down to two maybe three candidates before this ends to choose from. Romney, Santorum, and maybe Bachman. And we all know Bachman won’t get the Republican Nomination, just because she is a she. The Republicans will not give her the Nomination for the Presidency, anymore than the Democrats did Hillary Clinton in 2008. That glass ceiling may be cracked heavily by Mrs. Clinton, but it won’t be broken by Mrs. Bachman at this time and date.

Mr. Santorum is a possibility, but, he is too inexperienced and maybe too young overall. His record is pretty clean and he may stand a good chance as an alternative candidate to Romney. I believe though he will get beaten by Mitt Romney.

In the end , The Republican’s will realize the lesser of all evils and the one with the most chance of beating President Obama is indeed Mitt Romney. We shall see soon, the number and votes are going to be popping up on January 3rd, 2012. Lets hope the American People speak loud enough and thin this pack, so we can get a decent election in November 2012 going.
