Yesterday was July 8th, 2016, and I am scheduled for a triple hernia repair on July 11th, 2016, at the Veterans Hospital here. I opened my front door yesterday to see my youngest daughter her daughter, her friend my eldest granddaughter all here at once, to visit and help out while I am in surgery and after for a bit, Nice!
We chatted, barbecued and played X-Box One games with my youngest granddaughter. So, I am surprised they came 500 miles to be here, and pleased.
There is great sadness, in my heart and soul this 8th day of July 2016. As shots are fired and Police Officers go down in Dallas, Texas over a Black Lives Matters Protest. Officers killed for what purpose, and where does all this anger come from? It’s sad and embarrassing and humiliating also for the American People, all of us, Caucasian, African American, Hispanics, and Asians that make up America. we are a mixture of people who form the greatest and most powerful nation in the world, yet we shoot each other over disagreements? Sad indeed! We all breath the same air, drink the same water, want the same rights and abilities and respects, yet, we are stupid enough to kill one another if we don’t get them, very sad indeed. We all bleed red folks, we all die from gun shot wounds and diseases and accidents, but, to shoot one another as it is happening here in america is a shame and makes us all look so bad in the world we supposedly lead. I have never in my life hated anyone bad enough to pull a gun on them and kill them, why would anyone else in this country do so. I understand we have mentally ill people, we have PTSD suffers who served their country, but these are not the ones killing others. These are prejudiced, discriminating assholes who hate just to hate, it is sad as hell. I pray they are caught and punished and we can communicate with each other no matter what race,color or ethnicity we may be. Americans all over this country should come to understand one thing right now, you keep killing off each other, you set up a divide into which, a terrorist organization like ISIS, or Al Queda can slip into and take over our country as they did Iraq and Iran and Syria. we open ourselves to their rhetoric, and their ways of creating terror and destroying the world. That is sadder than hell!
The saddest thing after the above is this reopening of an investigation into Hillary’s E-mail controls or lack of them. Listen folks the Government and The Republicans have spent millions upon millions trying to take down Hillary over her E-mail processes she used as Secretary of State. The Attorney general said no charges should be brought, the FBI recommended no charges should be brought, yet the Fed is gonna investigate again, come on now!lets wake the hell up, ok! We can not and should not allow the Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and his Republican Party croonies to keep spending tax payers money on a failed objective that is unnecessary. There is no point to this Fed Investigation, especially since the FBI Directer said no charges and The Attorney General agreed with him. This is just a useless investigation to persecute Hillary Clinton and try to stop her momentum from building in her run for the Presidency. The republicans know their candidate Trump will fail in the fall to win the White House, and that he has no idea what the hell he is talking about. He has no policies for education, jobs, the economy,diplomacy, Defense, or anything else. Never once has he presents a comprehensive plan or idea in any area as of yet and we are in July of an election Year so come on. To continue to fo after Hillary Clinton over what has already been decided by the Attorney General and the FBI Directer is stupid and a waste of time and tax payers money and is just trying to make a distraction for their candidate Trump to try to get his act together, it will fail. Besides if ya want to talk e-mail usage and what is legal, lets start investigating how many Congressmen and Women and how many senators use private e-mail addresses and servers for official business communications that shouldn’t! Now that would be interesting wouldn’t it, it probably would include some big Republican names. so, lets get real, Mr. Speaker of The House, and Republicans and stop this bullshit and nonsense and move on with the election process and the people’s business.
The Truth of Military Life
The Military System as we all know is set up in a line of command, and each level is more important than the last they would want you to believe. But the truth is not as simple as they seem to want to make it look. While the officer corps is a little different than the enlisted corps of the Navy, the thing is both have in common is they must be able to play politics also and favorites .
When you join the military, no matter which branch it is, and I know cause I served in The Army, Army National Guard, and the Navy, if you don’t play politics you don’t get promoted. You have to align yourself to the in crowd so to say. When you report to your first command, look for the ones who kiss the Chief’s ass and the Officer’s ass and work overtime. These are called the climbers in my book, but when you align with them make sure your getting the right ones and not the back stabbers. For you will find two specific groups one the partying ones, who really don’t give a shit and just want to have fun and then the more serious ones who are looking for promotion and great evaluations every time.
They tend to do certain things correct all the time, like go by the book, say Yes Sir, yes Sir Three bags full Sir so to say, they keep a clean set of work Uniforms for inspections and shined boots spare too, they keep their Dress Uniforms all hung up, dry cleaned and with all ribbons and pearls in a row. They smile no matter what, and love to order others around. It’s what makes them so perfect and 4.0 sailors, soldiers or marines so to say. Are they smarter than the rest, nope, are they better than the rest nope, what they are, is called politically correct and they get promoted because they kiss ass well.
While the services, will say it is not so, it really is. Service men and women know it well, because some stay aboard ships and commands and never get promoted, and they are used for the dirty jobs. They are the ones cleaning bilges on ships, policing grounds in the Army, National Guard and yes even the Marines, they don’t fit the higher end of the standards on Evaluations when they come out. The Evaluation System in the Military is a 4,0 one and if you fall below 3.4 on it forget any promotion, they consider you not worthy of the next level up. They expect you to be clean, neat, pretty in dress Uniform and still work your ass off at your job on a regular basis. As you get up the chain they switch jobs you must do and qualify at, they expect bcause you’re an e-3 to be able to do certain things and on each level up as you go along. If you have problems with people and getting along with others your done also and no loners are allowed in the service eof course all for one and all for one is the creed, in all Branches of American service. So unless you can laugh with the Officers, and the higher up Enlisted, forget promotion and just sign one contract and get the hell out.
The Political side of it all will get you too, unless you are flexible in what you believe is politically correct at these commands you are ignored also. The Military has its own system of clicks so to say and it depends on which one you choose if you want to survive and advance. And here is one for you, as long as you steer the straight and narrow and get along with everyone your fine, make one mistake they may forgive it, make two and everything you worked for goes to hell. If you make mistakes or have accidents they label you a problem, change your evaluations and refuse to promote you. I know many E-4s and E-5s in the services that are stuck that way. Sadly, there is nothing one can do, unless you play the game, kiss ass and do everything exactly as told, no doing it your own way. I know, I Know why do I say this, simple been there done that. I fought back and got shit upon for fighting back and trying to change things it’s all about fitting in. The Military is exactly a one for all organization whatever branch you’re in. You do learn discipline, regulations, and procedures, but many of their jobs are out dated, if you go in get a newer side of the coin, by going electronics, or computers or the modern areas. They have phased out the Boiler Technicians these days and Machinist Mates in the Navy and Combined them. Propulsion is new and different I am told, faster and better.
What other positions do the services change I don’t know for sure, but they tend to change with the equipment and weapons that are changed also and they regulations change too, but The United States Code of Justice will never change. The UCMJ as the Military calls it’s Justice system is tough, right on and actually good to a point, it is though like the civilian justice system , sometimes rushing to justice and making mistakes I have seen it many times.
In The end if you cooperate and go along with it all, you can retire after 20 years with a pension, although I believe they may have upped the retirement to thirty years now. Full Benefits are full medical dental, and prescriptions, loans you can apply for and further education assistance. DO not allow yourself to break the UCMJ Regulation and rules with drugs, alcohol or abusing any substance that is equal. Do not get offensive or abusive to Officers or Higher Enlisted Personnel. Walk the tight rope and do your job and you can get promoted and advanced and not looked over. Break that line and you can find yourself on the bottom of the heap forever, and possibly with a Bad Conduct Discharge or a Dishonorable or something that will stop all benefits upon discharge. No one hires an ex-service member with a Bad Conduct or Dishonorable Discharge it sticks with you forever.
In the end, Military Life can be great, you learn, adapt and do your country service and get rewarded for it, if you fit in and do well. I would never knock anyone who wants to join or have a military life, most are patriotic, loyal and doing what they believe is right for them and their country. Some are forced by Civilian Judges into the Services as a second chance in life instead of jail or prison. Be careful of them if you go in for they are usually the ones who will do whatever they want and don’t give a shit.
The final thing I can say about Military Life of which I served 16 years, is this, It is great to serve ones country and fun to travel the world doing so, making friends in other countries and exploring, and in the end the best part if you serve overseas or on the seas and aren’t home a lot, is indeed coming Home!
As we all settle in for a long weekend of beaches, fun, laughter, grilling and picnics, we need to stop and think how we have such a Holiday and who is responsible for it all !
Across the world and here at home are men and women who serve and served in The Armed Forces of the United States, surviving with honor and serving all of us World Wide while we celebrate at home. Many are healthy, many have died or are injured and disabled folks, and they gave all for a country they and we love dearly. Don’t we owe them a moment of silence, a prayer and our thanks for the freedoms we have today and in the future? Hell yes we do!
When you go to the beach or picnic area or resort, or as your grilling and having fun, don;t you think you should say a prayer for those who gave their lives, health and welfare to keep us free and happy. I believe and and will do so just out of pure respect for their sacrifices. memorial Day is not all picnics, burgers, hot dogs and fun, it is to remember the individuals who gave their lives and health to keep us safe free and alive, world wide.

This E-mail bullshit problem is crap and should never affect her run for President! If Colin Powell did it and many other Secretaries of State leave Hillary the hell alone she was following their examples and procedures. In the end no secrets were revealed no problems were created and the country remains safe today as we have ever been.
Republicans are digging up bullshit on the Clintons to stop Hillary from winning the White House is all. But before you listen to their crap listen to this! Here is something to consider folks: William Jefferson Clinton is not running for President this time! he had his eight years in office and what he did, he did, not Hillary! Do you understand that folks, Bill did his shit not Hillary and she had to live with the embarrassment and humiliation he brought upon himself, her and the nation and still stand proud in the end. She did her part, .believe me. It wasn’t Hillary having sex with these women, it was Bill. yes she fought against the women trying to steal her husband while he was president what woman wouldn’t? In the end she was protecting herself and her daughter too, so back the hell off folks.
White Water is a long done deal, that is over and long gone. It belongs in the history books and does not concern Hillary Rodham Clinton’s run for President and should not. Vince Foster committed suicide and it’s been proven and solved no murder took place and the Clinton”s had nothing to do with it. So stop dredging up 25 year old bullshit and accusations folks.
I was a full time Independent for all my life until recently this year at 60 years old, I changed to a Democrat. My reasoning is simple I vote mostly Democrat anyway. I also doing want Trump as President this man is dangerous folks. His ideas on building a wall between us and Mexico is dumb and dangerous. His pan to deport millions over immigration problems sucks too and what kind of a person wants to ban a whole religion from the country, for the acts of some of them, no one would suggest that, he does.
Ask, Trump what his plan is to create jobs, to bring business back to US soil and employ us? Ask him how he will help educate American children and whats his plan is go ahead! Ask him any serious question and his answer is because I say so, lol, thats not a plan or even an idea!
Hillary has documented proof of her plans for the future and how to get things done, she understands history, the government she wants to run, she has been, a wife, mother,grandmother now, a Senator also, a First Lady too. I don’t want to hear she is a woman she can’t be President that is crap. if a woman can have a child, and stand that pain. she can raise a child, negotiate with her husband on raising the child, feed, clothed, and take care of her husband and daughter, and run a household she can run a country. Any other country can have a woman leader and President why can’t America? because we have old fashioned ideas and views and values. if so we need to change them now.

June is almost upon us folks, The general election for President has begun. It is a race many people world wide will be watching, so many countries to see if Americans have enough common sense, intelligence and logic to pick the right person for the Highest Office in The United States of America. It is vital that we pick the right person here folks, otherwise we will no longer be the leader of the free world.
We can not seriously elect Donald Trump as the President of America if we do folks we are idiots with no logic, common sense or intelligence. This man has no political experience period, no idea on the world’s problems or America’s either. We need a wall between us and Mexico like we need Russia to invade us, face it folks, it’s stupid. We don’t need to ban Muslims either, what we need to do is be careful on which ones get in yes but ban a whole religion nope. My step-father was a Muslim whose family came here from Albania and he was a decent man who never forced his views on anyone else. He raised two children that were not even his to respect everyone else, not to steal or lie, and to work hard to earn your own way. No we don’t need to ban Muslims folks.
Trump has no plan for anything folks, I know your all angry about lack of jobs and problems with our economy, but he has no concrete solutions or plans for anything! If he did folks he would be outlining them to get elected, yet no solid solution except because I say so, has ever come out of his mouth. It’s sad that Americans think a man, who is not even really a employer of the people he claims or has the cash he claims as a Billionaire wants to be President. he changes his views and will say anything he can to get elected folks.
On The other hand we have Hillary Rodham Clinton She has served as a First lady of Arkansas, A First Lady of the Country, a Speaker, a Secretary of State is up and educated on current affairs in the world.She has been there folks, and an added plus in my book is she will have an experienced President to back her up if needed. Check her plans on her web sites folks, she has concrete plans in all areas of the economy, world wide problems and so much more and she make sense and is logical. Wake up folks, do you pass up someone experienced for someone who talks garbage and makes no sense at all. Hillary knows health care she invented it, she knows world leaders and has dealt with them. She can do more to create jobs in America than Trump can ever imaging and she will work to do so, by lowering corporate taxes for companies, and making it easier to run a business here. It is sad few understand the full battle this election presents, so I will remind you all here and now, for the past 8 years a democratic President has had to fight tooth and nail with a republican congress that does not a god damn thing for anyone but themselves. They just dipped into the social security funds again for a 1.5 billion dollar loan, and they never replace what they take either. In the meantime they are telling us social security will disappear by 2050, why? Because they are borrowing from it and never replacing it is why!
The republicans have held Congress as this country has sat still in the world economy and health care and political power for the past 8 years, they have done nothing. Isn’t it time to stop talking about building a wall, and start talking about helping Americans by creating jobs, enforcing and improving Health care for all, and rebuilding the Military again. We need Hillary and I am tired of the bullshit of a woman can’t do the job, Merkel can and so many other women it is time in America too! Lets elect Hillary Rodham Clinton as our first Female President and make America stronger, safer and healthier as well as able to employ our own once more!
The Time has come Bernie Sanders and his followers, for you to step aside and back Hillary for President. Any further statements against Hillary, her candidacy or personal problems will just give Trump ammo for the General Election in November of 2016.
If you want a Democrat in the White House then back Hillary and stop the attacks on her now, and join forces with her. Tell your followers and supporters to go to her and put her over the top for the nomination and lets stop Donald Trump now before he gets out of control.
Hillary have a sit down with Bernie Sanders, give him say in the Platform for the party, and let him be heard also. A compromise would help a lot toward a victory in November of 2016. No matter what differences between Hillary and Bernie there may be, they are indeed minor compared to the differences with The Republicans and Trump. If the Donald gets in folks we face more wars, race riots, and stupid changes to our country we can’t afford at this time or date or anytime actually. Wake up Bernie Sanders please, you have run a great race and have a lot to be proud of, but it is time to realize you won’t get the nomination, join forces, negotiate your say in the Platform and lets beat Trump’s ass and keep the White House in Democratic control. This is my message to Bernie Sanders and how I feel about it today prior to the results from Indiana’s ‘s primary today May 3rd, 2016. Please don’t feed trumps ammo pouch anymore with info on Hillary and destroy the chance for us Democrats to keep the White House. It’s time to Unite and Back Hillary, Bernie if not for her sake or the democratic party, then do it for America The Home of the Brave!
