The Confederate Flag IT’s Place Should Be……. Racial Divide be Gone!


    June 29th, 2015, The Confederate Flag, Does it belong in a Museum? I believe it does as do many other Americans, who want it taken down from public buildings in the south. While it is indeed a part of American History and represents to many of the south a stance the south took at the time it was invented, those days are long past.  We have no slaves in America anymore and we should have never had them back then either, in my opinion. The slaves of those days did not ask to be dragged here to America and to be owned and used as they were, and as responsible human beings, today’s Americans must realize, what the Confederate Flag represents to them, as a people. The African- Americans of America have a strong case for wanting that flag gone for they look at it and see their predecessors, farming cotton fields and being whipped by men who owned them. They see their families torn apart by men who only wanted one thing money and to keep them working like animals till they died. The truth is the south should be ashamed of the Confederate Flag in all aspects of its being, it is a flag that represents a nation divided, and a south who believed in owning people and that is a bad chapter in our history as well as the world’s period.

As to Statues of the South’s Generals during the war, they too should be removed and put into museums, but not destroyed. Even if the south lost the war as we all know they did, the men these statues represent, including Robert E. Lee, were a big part of the history of the american Civil War, and the memories and faces of them should never be removed from history but preserved to make sure it never happens again. I want to say this is my belief about the Confederate Flag and the statues of that war, no one else’s and I am a caucasian male, who served his country for 16 years and am now a disabled veteran. Anything that represents the era of slavery and ownership of another human being should be removed from public places and buildings in my opinion period.

As to how to correct the illness of racial prejudice i and discrimination in America I have an opinion also on that. when I was a child living in the projects of the North end or Waterbury, Connecticut, I live in a bi-racial community with all races and nationalities. I grew up with black, hispanics and orientals too and we didn’t kill one another or attack one another for no reason, we got along. I remember a Senior black woman, who when I was five or so came running out of her home, to help me with a bee sting as a boy. She comforted me, hugged me, looked at the sting and told me how she was going to remove it. She covered it with a mud pack, and it pulled the stinger from my hand and the sting disappeared. She kissed me and hugged and me and I said thank you and I still remember Mrs. Corey to this day. She was a sweet woman with a great warm personality and she got along with all and her children were great kids too. If we can all slow down and stop and think before we act, we all can get along, and we should folks, it’s nuts for a racial divide to exist in an America that is so racially diverse. Learn and get along, the color of your skin, the nationality you come from doesn’t make someone bad or good, it is how you are raised and taught by your family, so parents wake up, we need to stop racial bullshit in America, we can do it if we work at it! Plain damn english from a man is all this is, so take my advice and do what I say, and set an example for all, compromise, communicate and make it work. Finding Peace and Moving Forward


     Finding Peace in the world is hard to do worldwide and may never happen folks, but one must also remember to find peace within oneself. Many of us are not pleased with ourselves, never mind the world, with all of it’s differences and problems, we are Americans and Human and yes we make mistakes too, so forgive us world for doing what we think will protect us as a people.

Each Country and nationality and person have their own beliefs that is what makes the world interesting and different. We are all thrown together in one big stew pot we call planet earth. It is up to us as mankind to blend and mix as needed to survive, and unless we can all get along together we may indeed just kill one another off, over time.  So stop before you point a finger or yell, or point a weapon at someone, we are all in this together and the world folks, is a big planet, if you can’t stand someone or something move away from it or them, and pay em no mind do your own thing, but don’t infringe on others or attack anyone anymore please!

The world loses people each day to disease, killings, illness and violence, for what reason please? We search for solutions and they can be found by medical miracles, peace talks, United Nations communications and people communicating with one another openly and honestly if we try, stop being foolish and fighting and killing and violence.

Recently, a man I called a friend became overwhelmed by what was happening or not happening in his life and committed suicide, and years ago the same thing happened to someone in my high school class too. Before you judge someone, stop, think folks, we all have secrets and problems we don’t tell the world about and you may never know what they be, for all of us are different, give people some compassion and understanding and help and they may thank you and some may even survive and do the same for you if you hit a wall too.

Suicide is not an answer folks, it may remove you from society and the earth and you may think it is for the best for all concerned but it isn’t. before you attempt suicide or even think about think about the others you will leave behind, who must take care of your remains, who will never be emotionally the same or mentally the same because you made the choice you did. Yes those of us you left behind to wonder why you choose to die as you did and stay up wondering why you did it, or, you put through the grief of you disappearing suddenly, yes the holes you leave behind to be filled too in people’s lives.Suicide may remove you, and  take away your pain, or it may be something you think will, but did any of the ones who did it, ever stop to think how they would hurt or harm those they loved and that loved them?

The families and friends and the ones that loved you must somehow pick up the pieces and carry on in the world without you, so don’t be so damn selfish and kill yourself, there are more ways to die in the world then taking your own life, war, crime,accidents, disease and more, don’t ever kill yourself, suicide is a waste of a human life that could have made the world better and now there is a hole left behind. Stop!

Get help, ask for it and move ahead in this life!

 

 

Four Men, One game, two left who remain!


    Very recently, a friend of mine committed suicide, by shooting himself in the head. I would never have believed he would even consider such an act yet he did it. Why, well no one will ever know the answer will they, because it was a sudden and swift act no one expected including his own family and close friends. 

To see him in his younger days was to see a strong healthy man with a sense of humor and who was a lover of fishing, hiking and camping, and hunting. An outdoors man who was 6 ft something, big and bold and always smiling. Now he is gone and lost to his family, his friends and the world due to sudden depression, alcohol and drugs. Sadly, we shall never hike anymore, laugh anymore, play cards anymore or do anything with him. But we shall always miss him!

I know for a fact we had some great times, playing cards together, camping, hiking and fishing, but none of us ever realized what could happen or even gave it a thought. Now , his family must make decisions on whether to bring him home or bury him or cremate him where he is.It is a sad day when you hear such news about someone you knew well.

Last time something like this happened, it was the elder friend who died and we called him poppa.  There were four of us back then now there are two left, Poppa killed himself in his own way by not taking his diabetic injections, Big G, shot himself in the head and the leaves two of us who played cards and penny ante poker together for years. Four men, at one card table playing poker, drinking having fun and now two dead and two alive and who knows what will be next. You can’t figure who will do what anymore, nor can you understand why they will do it, it just is fate and the way of the world. Humanity has it’s problems folks and we all know it, depression gets many of us including me, yet I survive because I have a wife, a sister and the Veteran’s Administration and hospital when I need them.

One card table four seats, two now empty and the game incomplete, how will it end I do not know, but God Rest Poppa and Big G’s souls!

Happy Father’s Day to All


     June 21st, 2015 is upon us now folks and according to all Calendars it is Father’s Day across the world. In many homes, fathers are having days with their sons and daughters and will be enjoying meals and special times, but it doesn’t exist for all of us fathers, no matter how bad we wish it did.

      Some of us had children when married and can not be with them due to separations, divorces, and things that were not the child’s fault, but the fault of both parents they had. To overcome this, there is no way as long as one parent carries hate and animosity toward the other and one parent had custody as the children were growing up. Sometimes, it is not the missing parents fault they can’t be there and no matter what the circumstances, the children need to understand, it’s not that that mother or father doesn’t want to be there, it’s they can’t.

In The end though, I may be five hundred miles from my daughters today, on this father’s day and many before, and many after, but no matter what they do, say, or are, I will always love them period. A Father’s Love for his children doesn’t disappear, die, or not exist due to separation, divorce or any anything that happened. it stays steadfast forever more till that father dies. So, as father’s day is Celebrated across the world and America today, I want my children to know I love them and always will no matter what!

If I had one wish in my life to spend on this Father’s Day of 2015, it is that both my Daughters’ their children and partners know that I shall always love them till the day I die no matter what. And that I wish they could fully understand the circumstances and understand someday why it is this way and they forgive me for not being there!

Racial fights and Deaths No More!


     Racial Conflicts and battles are worthless, Americans, we point at one another over our skin color or nationality and avoid one another like poison at times why, why do we fear one another over the pigment of our skin? 

Let me point out some basic facts for all to see, and all to understand no matter what color or pigment your skin may be, for all to see. No matter what, we are all human beings put here on earth by God, no matter which God you believe in, ok. Secondly we are all born the same way, we all die the same way, as a basic fact anyway. We all want peace for our families and loved ones and we want to protect them and guard them against those who would hurt them and us.  And in the end it doesn’t matter what pigment your skin is, we all love, laugh, hate,care, cry, and bleed. We all eat the same foods, breath the same air, and all of us in America are Americans period. 

 So tell me why a man child would go over and kill people of a different race or pigment and want to start a racial war?

I will tell you what this is about now folks simply put it’s a breakdown in the american culture period and the way people are raised. Don’t teach your children to hate or fear others due to pigment of skin or nationality or any other damn thing, teach them to respect and honor and get along with each other, no matter who it is! 

When I was a child of 5 or 6 years old living in the projects of waterbury, Connecticut in the 1960’s, we were a racially diverse neighborhood, whites, blacks, hispanics and even orientals. We all played together, ran together and lived next door to one another. We didn’t have racial killings back then and the 1960s was much more turbulent than today is. The good thing is our parents encouraged us to play together and have fun and get along back then, the bad thing is we separated into neighborhoods and groups that don’t allow us all to socially interact with each other.  Back then, I was a child of 5 or 6 years old chasing bees with a jar, when one stung me. I yelled and cried, and an elderly black woman came out of her home and comforted this little white boy and showed me how a mud pack on a bee sting pulled the stinger out. She hugged me and kissed me and sent me home on my way and we both smiled. How I grew up some of my best friends were black children named the whites believe it or not, my dad and theirs were friends from work so we all got along. The point is we found that they cried, we cried, they hurt we hurt, they laughed we laughed, they went to church we went to church, they ate, we ate and it was all the same food. we lived in the same type of housing, had the same primary amount of money and we all struggled together to get by. we didn’t care if you’re white, black, hispanic or oriental, what we did care about was survival and loving our friends and family and compromising and getting along. What happened and why are we shooting and killing one another, and who is responsible for it all happening?

The real answer folks no matter what race, color or nationality you are as parents in today’s world, if you want to know why it is happening, look in the mirror, and ask yourself what did i teach my children, as they grew up? Am I the one who taught them to hate white, blacks, oriental or Hispanics? Did I make racial slurs and comments in front of them, did i show hatred to the other races around them, did i teach my children to fear them? If you can honestly look at yourself in your mirror and say yes then you are the reason this shit happens. Stop it now, join hands, no matter what your race, pigmentation or nationality and learn from it all, hate begins in childhood and grows in beings in the environment they grow up in, AND FROM THE PEOPLE WHO RAISE THEM!

 

 

 

 

June 13 th, 2015/ Hillary Rodham Clinton begins——


Hillary_Rodham_Clinton-cropped      Officially today, Hillary Rodham Clinton is having her first campaign rally, to kick off her run for the Presidency for the second time. Americans everywhere should watch and listen as she discusses issues and problems needing repair and correction in our land. Listen to her on education, economy,environment, jobs, manufacturing, unemployment and so much more.  Listen closely and while you’re at it, then listen to the Republicans and her opponents too. And then stop and think why are there about to be 13 or 14 Republicans running against her plus some Democrats too? 

The republicans fear a Hillary Rodham Clinton Presidency, they don’t know what to do to stop one though and never will, the fates have brought America to a point many countries before us have reached folks, a woman to lead us and fix what men did wrong before her. Germany has Merkel, other countries have female presidents, why not America? If Americans can stop and think it is not the sex of a person that determines their abilities and smarts, it’s their experiences in life that do. She has been a First Lady, a Senator, a Secretary and now wants the Presidency and i don’t blame her at all! She has the knowledge and experience to handle it all and should get elected if she doesn’t it will be because of people who hold sexist views on the Presidency and don’t want to trust a woman in it. The bottom line is, a woman may have more common sense and logic and brains then the men running now.

As 2015 rolls along and the election of 2016 gets closer our option are few for real integrity, for real smarts, or real logic and common sense to be in office.They say many don’t trust Hillary Rodham Clinton today, and they fear what she may do. But can you trust Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, Santorum, or any of the republicans who are popping up to run at this time too, Rubio a freshman senator who will be like  Obama was when elected being trained in office. Come on Now! Elect some one with experience and knowledge and skill and Elect Hillary Rodham Clinton!

Connecticut’s Major Problems


      Connecticut has to get it together and realize what is going on before it is too late and it goes bankrupt! During the late 1970s it began it’s downward spiral, with the lose of major manufacturing firms in the state and military contracts. Across the state Scovills, Timex, Uniroyal, Chase Brass and Copper, Anaconda and The Naval Ship Yards losing contracts has devastated the economy here. people are hurting and malls and building stores is not the way to relieve it.

Lower the Manufacturing tax, cut it in half and attract more manufacturing to Connecticut. Give them breaks to bring jobs back to the state, to employ the blue class workers of Waterbury and other cities, train those who are blue collar to do white collar jobs.  You can’t keep building malls and stores when there is no one with money to buy the items you are selling can you?

Connecticut’s infrastructure is falling apart also, the roads and highways  stink here. Potholes and construction stop people from getting to and from where they need to go for work and medical stuff. Sadly, no one is moving in the right direction for greed is getting in the damn way. Too many politicians are greedy and making millions off the connecticut population. Taxes go up for individuals and for manufacturing and companies but no improvements get made why is that, why are there no jobs in Connecticut these days, well the above is the answer.

There is also a lack of respect for others, a lack of education and funding for education for everyone, because the country has become so lackadaisical in it’s approach to raising children, and disciplining them. Children are not disciplined enough to be able to get to college on their own and too many fail or drop out of high school. education is at the minimum levels for many kids. Parents don’t teach them respect for their elders, work attitudes and more. Sadly, the change started in the 1970’s and became in force and has not changed. Sadly as the 1980’s came about parents feared the law because children started filing for divorce from their parents and revolting and no one stopped them. Shows like The Bill Cosby Show of the 1980s, taught people to not spank or hit their kids, raise them using psychological methods, talk to them. well it doesn’t work Mr. Cosby, no it doesn’t america! It is a world of all talk, no discipline, and they don’t learn because there is no re enforcement of it by parents. 

              In the end Connecticut is failing it’s own children, it’s population and it’s infrastructure too as well as it’s job market that was once so rich and full of jobs and manufacturing it was one of the richest states in the country.We may be the Insurance capital of the world, but it is growing poorer each day and failing it’s people big time.

Sexual Abuse big time by a Parent


     I was married to a woman back in the end of the 1970s, who came from Pittsburgh, Pa. while I wa sin the U.S.Navy, her parents used to live in a town called Wexford. 

As our marriage went on within the first six months I met her parents and siblings on numerous trips top Pittsburgh, to visit. Since we were married by a Justice of the Peace they wouldn’t let us sleep in the same room at night, until we were married by a Priest, which did later. As our marriage went along we had two daughters and two of everything by 1988.  By 1989 I was injured and could not do the job, I enlisted for anymore aboard ship, so the Navy Doctors Discharged me on July 24th, 1989. Right after my discharge I went out trying to find a job and came home to find my wife crying on the kitchen phone. when I asked what she was crying about she at first refused to tell me, when she hung up she finally did.

Her mother found out after all those years, that her husband had sexually molested all four of his children as she was working over the years. I wanted my wife to report him to the authorities, she refused saying she still loved him and he was her father. I couldn’t do a thing to make her do anything about it at the time. Little would I imagine how far it would affect others in the family including me. The mother divorced the father immediately upon learning of it and moved out on her own taking her youngest son with her.

In the end the results went like this, the father went to Florida and ran away, the mother lived with her son and took me and my wife and kids in for a bit. Without realizing what was happening, one daughter got divorced and has been divorced 5 times because of this,our marriage ended and so did the parents marriage all within two years. The boys have problems in more ways then one and the youngest sleeps in womens night gowns each night and will never be married.

 

 I ended up accused of sexual abuse against my own daughter which never happened and I fought it from day one, and had it dropped to a misdemeanor on Virginia Beach, Va. where I was tried, the year of my divorce 1992. In the end I lived with the misdemeanor on my record till my daughter confessed it all online to me in facebook messenger. I have her statement to me saved in my e-mail now. It reads like this:

 

Nobody’s life here is ruined what the hell are you talking about. I admitted my faults to Lyn and Kayla…that’s between us! And I am so damn tired of hearing how fucked up the family is! Don’t you think I know??? This is my apology to you! Im sorry that as a little girl people (ADULTS) fucked with and twisted my head up to make me believe shit that didn’t happen!!!! Im sorry that I HAD NO CONTROL of my childs mind but not anymore!!! Im not defending anyone but myself! I was a fucking child when this shit happened! What do YOU not understand about that? I don’t deal with Leslie AT ALL and rarely talk with mom.  The problem between us is you come back into my life and acted like we didn’t miss a beat. You talk to me and treat me like the child I used to be. I am a grown woman with a family not a child! And then you pulled that shit where you showed Leslie my texts to you! Who’s the adult here??? What were you trying to gain from that??? There is too much fucking drama and too many damn games being played.

So here is my problem, should someone report this man who destroyed so many people’s and family members lives, and if I were to report it the time limits are way beyond. What should one do in this case?

              

Presidential Race for White House 2016/ Candidates and Thoughts


      Sadly ladies and gentlemen, we are now seeing the Republican plan to stop Hillary Rodham Clinton from become President, they are throwing everyone they possibly can up for their parties nomination. So many of these people don’t even have any experience of any kind in the political world never mind in the Federal Government. Others who do that are running on the republican side, have no business running period for they are foolish.

Look let’s face some facts ok, not a one of the Republican Candidates have any where near the experience, knowledge and skills of Hillary Rodham Clinton.  Secondly, none of them have a back-up behind them as good as William Jefferson Clinton the former President.  With Hillary you will get a two for one deal that can’t go wrong, believe me!.

         Hillary wants to help the low and middle classes obtain status and jobs and education. She believes in Health Care for all and will keep Obama Care in place, she won’t attack Social Security or Medicaid or Medicare. Unemployed will get help finding jobs, for she will create jobs and restore manufacturing to the USA, she will change Fair Trade Laws and change the ratio of the imports and exports, to America’s favor. The Chinese and Japanese are ruling there now, because Americans can’t afford to make those products as cheap as they do. Hillary can change that folks, give her a chance!.

Before you elect a Republican this time folks stop and think clearly, they want to get rid of Social Security and phase it out, not extend it. They want to kill Obama Care and make you pay more to be insured sad isn’t it. They want to take stronger stands against ISIS and Al Qaeda, and i have no objection to that myself but not at the expense of American troops and military costs that are escalating at an unbelievable rate. Check the Billions already by the American Government now in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Iran and the Middle East period, the numbers are crazy. Check the dead and wounded, and what are they fighting for, people who don’t care and won’t even defend themselves, wake up!

          I have a solution to it all that would work just fine folks. America is already involved in so many Middle East conflicts and countries, trying always to defend and protect others, isn’t it time we stopped? Pull our troops out and our military gear and weapons too, and our advisors. IT’s time America starts taking care of itself here at home. Put all that money to good work here at home, create manufacturing, and jobs,support Health care for all, and refinance Social security and Medicare and Medicaid. Americans are living longer folks and we need these programs to save and protect and help our own older generations. Who will take care of them if we don’t?

 Lets use some money to rebuild our infrastructure and roads and bridges. Lets use it to make College Education affordable for all and to feed our own hungry and get homes for our own homeless sleeping in our streets in cardboard boxes.Lets get help for our Homeless disabled Veterans with PTSD who lay in cardboard boxes in the cold and barely survive. Lets stop and help those walking the streets of America with signs like, Will work for food, will work for a place to sleep, and more. Isn’t it time America was put back on it’s feet in all ways? Elect Hillary Rodham Clinton President and Remember folks America is one of the few countries where our women are strong enough, reliable enough and strong enough to lead and do it right! Elect Hillary this time folks and you won’t regret it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
