Memories, Stories and Quebec’s Disaster

A new day and a holiday gone by, new family met, and fun times had, and thru it all we laughed, cried and had a ball, one heck of a fun time. Sparklers, cakes, burgers, dogs and laughter, ya can’t go wrong!

I have seen and cried for those burnt to death and destroyed in the Quebec oil burn-up. Sadly accidents do happen and since my moms family came from there and I have visited it, and I am part Canadian french I hope the Quebec’s well and hope they recover quickly!

War, poverty, pain, and more are everywhere. We suffer in the world for the sins of our forefathers and others as well as our own. Life and the way you live it doesn’t have to be attached to  the church or religion, it does have to be attached to truth, honesty, caring and love. And that is the most important thing to remember at all times!.

That said, I will today leave you with a reminder of what family is and means with some stories I have written and am selling on Amazon’s Kindle E-books:“What Really Happened to Alex?”—http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CGPDBX0

July 7, 2013

Had a great July 4th and Holiday with long lost relatives and my sis and more. My daughter the kids and her hubby too, was one hell of a party!

My back is out of sorts from the activity, yet I shall survive a long time, I am not ready to leave the earth yet. Pain rules my world these days, and it seems fun is few and far apart, but I do what I do with all my heart. I write stories and poems and tales you see, all about my loves, my life and whom I be. The things that I love are important to me, God Bless them all for , I love them for free.

In closing on this 7th of July and my holiday with my grandchildren and daughter and relatives comes to an end, I hope they all realize this old man is not just a relative who loves them all, but also a friend.

I leave you with a story to read of family and passing on the love and respect all need: “Passing on……………………”——http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CMXC952 This is the kind of story my grandchildren should know andlove for it tells them material things are not important but the things of love and the soul are!

July 6th 2013, Saturday has arrived the day

July 6th 2013, Saturday has arrived the day begins with coffee and a lil grandson to talk to and play with for the first time in my 57 years. Kids are great and fun and more and I am glad I have six of them now as grandkids.

Anyway, due to company and the Holiday Season of the Fourth, I leave you today with my poem, which may break hearts, hit emotions or you may even laugh at, but it is true enjoy!  :

         If I Die

        By: William M. McCurrach

If I die tomorrow and my life does end,

Who would show at my funeral my friend?

Would they come from my youth, the days when I ran free,

A boy in the woods, enchanted you see?

I doubt that they would even remember me!

Would they come from my Elementary School days,

Ah even if I wish to know some,

I doubt it is what I say!

Would they come from the days I roamed high school hall?,

Carving and writing names on walls, long lost loves and

       Male friends, and all.

I doubt it you see for I didn’t play ball!

Would they come from my teenage years, when my hormones raged?

         And I had no fears?

I doubt they would remember me after all these years!

So if I die tomorrow who would come?

To see a man who always had to run?

Would my ex-wives show up, or my kids,

I do not know, for I am a lone wolf and that is my soul.

So as my blood pressure rages, and my nerves get blocked, my heart starts to clog and my life starts

To Stop,   Tell me Lord who will be there to mourn me when I drop!

Happy Fourth of July to All!

Happy 4th, of July 2013 to all! I hope all remember what our forefathers fought for-religious freedom, the right to bear arms for self-protection, equality and no taxation without representation! As you PIcnic, Swim, Barbecue, and Celebrate with Fireworks, reminisce some about the USA’s past and why we needed these rights and what it means to be Free! Think about the men and women who died to keep us free and to help the world stay free the best we can, for without the USA there would be no shining beacon of light to want to be like. So, keep us number one and lead don’t trail behind or lag, show em, Americans are the Best!.

Remembering, Holiday and Heros

The 3rd of July 2013 has arrived,  a day which was my mom’s birthday in 1932. So, Happy Birthday Mom, May you Rest in Peace!

In my family, we were not a very close-knit bunch, at least in the core unit I grew up in. There was many reasons for this and all were associated with the parents I grew up with. Mom, married twice, and had two of us by her first, and then three by her second. There was always a dividing line between the two sets of kids, which I tried to bridge in many ways, but never fully did, except with my sister whom I love dearly. I will never  allow anyone to hurt my sister and I love her dearly and she loves me. We made our relationship work and always will Mom. I can’t change the brothers, or the fact one of us died at 30, but I can hold to my sister and her to me.

That said and done, I don’t know if mom or dad, or my step-father would recognize America as it is today. They came from the we generation and it was always one for all and all for one with them. Like I said, in their final years, all dying of cancer America began to change to what I call the Me, Me Generation of today.  Back in the old days people helped their neighbors, or stopped to help someone on the street with a flat or car problems. Today they will run ya over before they will help ya, and everyone fear, everyone else. It’s really a sad thing.

As we all get ready to celebrate America’s Annual Celebration of the Date of Independence, I want to wish all a Happy Holiday with family and friends to keep close by. For all Veterans who served and were either injured  or served in times of war or peace, I wish all a peaceful joyful day, pain free and with those you love, we served not for our sakes, but to protect the virtues, dreams and rights of the people we love and care about, and all Veterans deserve respect.

With the Holiday in mind and the celebration too, I will give you now a link to a story I wrote, that bring a little humility to the Holiday and Celebration: Tells talk real HerosNational Guard Heros”—-http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CIH88HU

As you throw fireworks to the skies and picnic and swim, think of those who gave their health, mentally and physically or those lifes to protect this country with the greatest freedoms in the world.

Remembering Mom, Her birthday is Tomorrow!

In 1932 on July 3rd, my mother was born. She wasn’t perfect no person is, but she did do one job for all of her kids, she taught us right from wrong and kept us alive. I miss her at times for she could be smarter than an owl, and wiser than a king. But in the end, her emotions would get the better of her, and not everything would come out right in the end. But in the end, she was still mom and all I ever had in my life that was steady, and I give that to her. She died in October of 1991 of cancer of the lungs, one year and one day after her second husband died of the same thing. So, for her and my step-father, after all their love and fighting together, their giving and taking and more, my sister and I paid to bury them together. They deserved eternity together, for it was when they were together alone, that they loved best and were happiest. So, as July 2nd rolls on and the 3rd approaches, I just want to wish my mom eternal peace on her birthday. Loved ya Mom, even if none of us knew how to show it while you lived!

Talking about mom and her birthday and such I give you the link to my story about mom and I called:

 “Confrontations With Mom”—-http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DC3BQK0

It explains why we were always at loggerheads and fighting and why things ended up the way they did. Hope  other mothers and children will read it and not let it happen between them .Image
