Who is in Charge?


Men and women listen up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As children boys are taught men rule the world and run it. We are led to believe men are the powerful ones who have the strength and know how to take care of all and the ability to win no matter what. Well, this story is about the real story of who is in charge and why I When you’re a child you listen to what you are taught by the parents and siblings and relatives you are raised with. Whether a boy or girl, usually the process is the same on a mental basis, but, little changes occur as we age some, and usually it starts at a young age. For me it was the summer, I turned 5, before my first class in Kindergarten. know, Women are in Charge, not Men!

My next door neighbor had a little girl my age and we became friends and would play together all the time. We caught bees in jars, built mud castles, played hide and seek and hid in the woods and even played dolls. I know a bad thing for a macho man to admit right, but who cared when they were five years old what you did, not me. We played Barbie and Ken and trucks too, we did it all together her name was Laura. We laughed and played and ran through woods and more. It was a fun period of time for five-year old children, but even at five it was Laura who said what we did or didn’t do, not I. Females have that power over males and of course it got both of us in trouble with our parents, but we were five so who cares. We would play in the woods and pee side by side examining each other and exploring, we were innocent and kids. It didn’t matter, for nothing happened except looking.

It happens, men to us at all ages we just don’t realize it all do we, we grow used to it and the females get used to being in charge and getting their way and life goes on. Sounds silly right, well it isn’t if you stop and think back on your lives men, at least to us straight men.

God gave women the gifts of high voices, long hair and legs and breasts.   It’s funny how when you enter Kindergarten as a kid, how fast everyone looks at you and examines you and you them. Kids point at one another and laugh at you and you do it back it becomes a competition to be in the in crowd even in kindergarten, funny right/ But females ruled there too and always have since. I went from Laura before Kindergarten to a blonde haired little girl name Mary in Kindergarten, trying to impress her and get her attention for the next three years. Of course Mary and her friends just laughed at me, and my acting out got me deeper in trouble in school and at home each year. Whether Mary even knew I existed I had no idea except when I would hear her and her girlfriends pointing my way and laughing. So again, females ruled and picked who they wanted at that age. We don’t rule, women do, and you better believe it.

By the time I left 3rd grade it was on to 4th, and a new little girl to stare at and love from afar, yet I calmed down and didn’t get in trouble that year, but yet again, she didn’t notice me either. Funny how I was noticing them, but they wanted nothing to do with me, because I was a trouble maker, yet that’s how it went, no matter how hard I tried nope, they wouldn’t look my way.

I thought nothing of it. I had a girl I was watching at that time too, In a different school I went to 5th and 6thgrade in another town miles away. When I did I found a ring in the playground out back and her name was Joann, a red-head. Being innocent and stupid or romance and girls, period, I gave the ring to her one day in class. The next thing I knew we were both being teased as being married, it turns out I had found a wedding ring. I didn’t know what was what, and neither did she, but there you have it. Women rule because of these things, she would just smile and never say a word to me again.

By 8th grade and Graduation Day in Elementary School, things had not changed at all for me, I knew nothing of girls or why they would want anything to do with me. I didn’t even look any more, I just was going my own way and doing my own thing. Funny right, but not so funny, when I wore my first suit and got the attention of a different Mary, that Graduation Day. Of course she flirted and complimented my suit and me, but I was stupid in affairs of the heart or attractions or flirting. Mary flirted I laughed, she laughed and we both went separate ways, into Graduation and after.

Next was my Sophomore Year in high school, again I had no idea of romance or girls or attractions or relationships. When a Beatrice approached some friends of mine and told them she liked me. Little did I know how this one would go, but it would be a game of cat and mouse with Beatrice and she was the cat and I was the inexperienced and virginal mouse. It didn’t last long for Beatrice and I because she had a boyfriend already number one and number two because I didn’t know what I was doing. Beatrice and I would walk home from school together and I would walk her further home and then turn around and go home on my own. One day it got so late it was dark outside when reached a spot on the hill to her home and we stopped. She said she was scared of going home and of facing her mother and started to cry and tear up. I had no idea what to do, so I pulled her close, hugged her and kissed her, the first kiss I ever gave to anyone. Yet I didn’t know what to say or do next I fumbled and fell away from her. And that ended it with her, but her sister picked up where she left off next, men don’t run things, women do believe me yet? Because 30 years later I would see Beatrice once more and get asked about that kiss!

Next was Beatrice’s sister, Mary Ann I will call her, she slid up on one side of a cafeteria table in the high school as I was carving my initials into the table with a pen knife and she added her initials under mine and away we went. A dating and romance lasted almost two years before it would end, but it did end even though I loved her, because I quit High School and joined the service, it was goodbye. But again women make the decisions and grab the men they want not vice versa, see women do control and are in charge.

Each step here shows what I am saying, a women whether a girl or full-grown goes for what they want, makes it happen and gets what they want, whether it is the boy or man they want or anything else. It’s true, I guarantee it folks. Men don’t run the world women run the men and the world through their men. Believe me yet? You better folks, because I can keep this up and show you it all step by step, women choose and women are in charge, it is why once we get married it is always, whatever you say dear, yes dear, of course dear. It’s the facts spelled out clearly at marriage time too. I will show you that one next by my first marriage, laughing, you should get the idea now.

We, men, whether in the service or working for a living in one way or another always end up controlled by women by the time we reach out mid-twenties or early thirties. Why, because of sex and a funny little word called love, it starts with attraction, leads to fascination, then to the rest, which ends up with two adults, of the opposite sex dropping into bed and one controlling the other. If a man wants to be in control sooner or later the woman cuts out the sex and he must move on, if he is a normal healthy male with a brain. But that doesn’t mean those little feeling we call love disappear they still remain even after it is over.

I met my first wife in The US Navy at the Wave Cage they called it, or as officially called The Women’s Barracks one day. I went there with music, a tape player and to play pool and chat.  A buddy of mine had a, there and she girlfriend introduced us one day and from there it grew. It led to sex between us and then when the time for us to separate and her to go home on leave, I was left behind but given the instructions by her, to meet her, in my next duty station, which was the same base as hers. She picked me up at the airport and drove me to my first ship. The romance was on, it went from me climbing in and out of the windows of the women’s barracks and drives to the country and beaches and quiet moments together, And then ultimately marriage, and children. She got two kids, we both did, she got two cars, two of everything except houses at once, before it all blew up 12 years later. Funny right, I always said yes dear, whatever you want dear so much, that when she said I want a divorce I said you sure she said yes I said yes dear and left. Men aren’t in charge folks women are, believe me, she got everything and kept it all and the kids and child support, I got the shaft. It’s the way of the world men control nothing we come home sign over the checks or deposit in the bank and never see it again, the women spend it and control it and we  just go yes dear, whatever you want dear. Women are in charge not us men, believe it yet folks, you should!

In the end I got married a second time, and saved my second wife from losing all she had from her first marriage and helped her get something out of her home. We married after the rescue and when we fell in love, the marriage happened 7 years after the start. We waited to be sure and we married because it would become common law anyway at that point. Do we get along, yes, are we happy yes, do I control anything nope, Do I have any money nope, does she yep, all of it in one account and if I want money I get 20 dollars a month. But she buys flowers, gardens, and shoes to the tune of 775 dollars at a shot. I can’t buy a 60 dollar video game, but she can buy a 500 dollar I-Pad, get the idea now folks. Women are in charge not men it’s the god honest truth, try to change it and if your married it will be divorce court so men live with it and admit it, women are in charge they run the men who run the world. Ask Bill Clinton, Ask Barrack Obama, Ask George W. Bush, or any other famous man. Women run the world and are in charge Period, they let us men think we are in charge and we do think that, until we stop to realize we aren’t. That is what I call women in charge, and men don’t think you ever are!

 

Television-End of Seasons and Programs!


     Television Stations across the country end and begin new seasons at different times and they end shows and begin new shows in the same way. Most of what we watch on television is based upon ads for products they can attach to them, the ads as we know pays the bills.  Yet I find it sad when favorite shows complete their runs and go off air and we are left hanging as to what happened to the characters, we watched and loved and laughed at. Funny some of them become so real to us we even imamate them in public places. This happened with shows like Mash, Friends, and many more, and they left holes in television lands viewers hearts.

        Every year in the spring they kill programs without asking the public about them, then they bring new summer ones out in trials and see if they are good enough for renewing. Then we have shows like Desperate Housewifes that ended last night after a 8 year run, House is leaving us too, among other that have left in the past like Monk. To be replaced by live action shows like Survivor and Amazing Race and Big Brother and The Bachlorette and more. The live shows are fun at times but, they get boring for me too. No real plots, no real characters that change each week or show.

       I want to go back in time to the days when we d tube television and black and whites and antennas just to see the shows that went by. Shows I loved, laughed, cried and sat amazed at and wonder why they aren’t on television today. 

       Mutual of Omahas’ Wild Kingdom, Wonderful World of Disney, Soul Train, American Bandstand. Comedies ruled too- I Love Lucy, Car 54 Where are You, My Mother the Car, McHale’s Navy, Carol Burnett, Jackie Gleason, Dean Martin and more. The wholesome shows of yester-years have gone to the graveyard and not come back at all.  We even had war shows, like Combat,The Rat Pack, then we had Mod Squad and The Dukes of Hazard. What happened to Charlies Angels and the likes of it? Television is continuing to change but I wonder if it is for the good or bad. 

        In my book there are channels few really watch, we do in my home, Green Planet, Discovery, History 1 and 2  A&E, USA, and more. The premium channels I could probably do without like HBO,Showtime and Max and such, not enough variety or shows I like on them, but they are in my package for now.

        I find myself leaving shows behind I didn’t want to see go like House and TNT’s The Closer, while shows I wish would leave still stick around. Sadly, the directors, and producers and stations run the shows and what they put on, and we really have no control except to change the channels or shut it all off now a days. What happened to good old-fashioned comedies, and wholesome shows and dramas that made sense without getting too violent or bloody? Maybe someone will read this and understand what I am saying these days.

 

Ever Wonder Why?


Every year, I watch certain programs on Television with my wife and we laugh through them and enjoy the mysteries and dramas and more. Then came in the contest shows and they were fine for a while, then the dating shows and Bachelor shows, but they all have one thing in common, they all have to end sometime.

       Coming to an end, are some shows we have loved for a long time, shows like The Closer, House is now coming to an end, and in the far flung past Mash went bye, bye too. Sadly none will ever match Mash for it’s conclusion, because it’s characters had character, eachand everyone of them. From Hawkeyes to BJ, to Hot Lips and Radar, and even Father Mullchay, Mash hit the hearts of the American public like no other show.

       In the old days television in the 1960s had some of the greatest programming ever. We had comedies like Mchales Navy, My Favorite Martian,Car 54 Where are You? and more. We had Mutual of Omahas Wild Kingdom, Disney and The Wonderful World of Color and more. Music ruled the Air Waves with American Bandstand and Soul Train. Motown was the biggest recording company around, the air tasted and smelled of newness and freshness then and life felt like it was begginning anew always.

      Every time I turn around another show gets cancelled or ends that I enjoyed and I can’t understand why. Shows I loved disappear as fast as they appear, ABC had Defying Gravity, it poofed in less than one season, why? It seems if the audience isn’t huge at the beggining the show won’t last, it’s all based on money of course and that sucks.

       Now House is leaving, Desperate Housewifes is going too, and these shows such as The Closer and more disappear off the screens of homes across America. America does need it’s hereos and villians as well as fun programs again, Seinfeld made us laugh till the end with subjects no one understood at first but shine bright since they aired, yet it too ended. The Fugitive, Combat, all programs in the 1960s that could come back if casted right.

         These days we get Survivor, Amazing Race, The Bachelor and Bachelorette and Losing Weight Shows and Dancing Contests. Then they throw in singing competitions like American Idol and The Voice and now X-Factor. Maybe one such show on the air at a time would work, but three will definitely overload our senses and the air waves and cause some of them to die. Too much of one thing and not enough of another is bad they say, and such is the case with these.

      At a time when America is going through it’s financial crisis and economic mess and we are hurting as a nation, television and it’s providers and companies that create shows should make television more entertaining not monotonious! I will always wonder why some of my favorite shows to see on television were ever cancelled, don’t you with yours? Ever Wonder Why?

 

      

The Avengers A Comic Fans Movie!


     Movies, movies, movies! I am not rich nor do I get a chance to go to a movie often, yet, after waiting for a long time, a movie I waited on finally came out, The Avengers by Marvel and Disney Studios.

       As a child and boy I grew up buying comic books about these characters and teams, such as the Avengers, The Fantastic Four, The X-Men, and then the DC comics side too, such as Green Lantern, Batman, Superman, and yes even Wonder Woman. It was the art work that drew me in and then the stories as they got better over time. Even Spiderman was fun and different in a world full of pain and no pleasure they brought hope to mine.

        I am glad that Stan Lee who created these superheroes, allowed people to finally make movies out of them, and create a world of fantasy, fighting and joining and getting along on-screen. He stuck to his guts and told the Studios and Producers to do the characters his way as they were in his books and wham the hits began hitting the big screens. Spiderman, The Hulk, The Fantastic Four, The Silver Surfer, Iron Man and now The Avengers. The characters in the books stayed for all time as Stan Lee and Kirby made them. And I hope they will on-screen too, for the characters are loved by so many of the baby boom generation and their offsprings they deserve to be given the right production and way on the screen. The Avengers brings a cast of characters to the screen that needs little improvement at all, and is fun to watch, including the villains and beasts and armies. It’s all a fun time at the movies if you go, the intensive fight scenes, the teamwork and the way it all goes leads you to believe in teamwork and heroes, right down to Nick Fury!

      If you like excitement, a plot, a story to follow and great graphics and three-D affects The Avengers is a film to see. If you were a comic book fan as a child and want to see them come to life on the big screen and cheer and laugh and enjoy, then The Avengers is a movie for you!

 

Dick Clark’s Place in Heaven


      Icons, Famous people they say die in threes, and 2012 has already seen two go with the deaths of Whitney Houston and now a bigger Legend and Icon in Dick Clark, a Producer, Host, and man of Music and Dance fame with American Idol and more.

         Wether it is true they go in threes I have no idea or proof, but if they do, then who would be next I have no idea. But the sadness about these famous people dying is America is not creating and encouraging enough kids today to be the same way. To be shakers, changers, creators and minds that help the world, we need you if your out there.  Not only does America need such people so does the world over all, for the great ones, change history and life in different parts of the world to make it a better world for all.

      Dick Clark like Whitney Houston will live forever in the minds and hearts of generations of americans who sat and watched his Bandstand, or his New Year’s Eve with Dick Clark each year. His introduction of Motown to public Television and the world was a force in the 1960s and will live forever for Motown shall never die either. Music no matter type, color, race, style, brings together all people and Dick Clark proved that with Bandstand, putting African Americans, Hispanics, Caucasians and all on his Bandstand and letting them enjoy the tunes and dance. His Iconic mind and thoughts united humanity and all races in America, making us a better nation and leading country.

       Over my lifetime, American heros, Idols, Icons and more have died. I could list them but I could never remember all of them. Each meant a different thing to me, and in Dick Clark’s case it was music, dance and fun. But Dick Clark promoted and defended and loved Television and it’s ability to entertain and educate. Thank God he choose the professions he did, for his work brought joy to billions.

        Television from the days I grew up, in the 1960’s, had some of the greatest shows ever on. We had Mutual of Omaha and Disney World, McHale’s Navy, My Favorite Martian, Mr. Ed, My Mother the Car, 77 Sunset Strip, Charlie’s Angels, Combat, Rat Patrol, and many more entertaining and fun-filled shows ranging from comedy to drama and more. We had Variety hours run by the best in the business, Dean Martin, Jackie Gleason, Red Skeleton,Ed Sullivan, these people believed in really entertaining for the money they were paid.

       Among those greats now, joins in Dick Clark to emcee the greatest assemblage of stars in Music, Hollywood, and more in Heaven. I can see Dick now standing by some of the greats who died before him and still entertaining, interviewing and laughing in Heaven. Rest in Peace Dick Clark, and may you put together one heck of a show in heaven and have a good after life.

 

Music lives and Breathes Country !


      Music, so many across the world love music of one kind or another, I think it motivates, it entertains and is pleasant to the ears. Each Generation bring its own type of change to the music industry, by producing different artists and different songs and melodys. Yet one thing remains constant in music if you want it to sell, a singer with a voice who can sing. I know there are rappers, singers, story tellers and more, Rhythm and Blues, Soul and more too,even metal rockers, each unique in what they bring to the music world. For me it is Country Music, the greats Patsy Cline,Reba, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn,Kenny Rogers,Hank Williams and his son Hank JR. and Merle Haggard and so many more. Country tells stories of life,love, hopes and fears, years of laughter and even tears. Country is America‘s real music in my heart and mind, for it talks of the world we live in and the way we live and love in it. It even covers disasters, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley,Miranda Lambert, and Tim.

      Then we have shows like American Idol creating icons and singers of so many different types. People with voices that can shake a stadium’s roof and move an audience to their feet. The Voice is doing this also now as it grows in fans, and time on the air, X-Factor is too. For music moves the mortal soul, it makes man and woman whole. It calms, it excites, it makes one laugh and one cry, just as Winona and Naomi Judd. I remember my daughter as a child in 1982, running around the house shortly after she learned to walk, singing Momma’s Crazy, it was a take on their song Momma He’s Crazy over me. My daughter loved the song and the melody, and used to sing it to my first wife, as Momma’s Crazy I laughed but my ex-wife didn’t, but for me turns out my daughter may have been right, lol. Point being, Country Music reaches into the soul the heart and the spirit of Americans and the world, it brings hope and fear, it bring happiness and it brings tears. It has done so for decades and more now and will forever stay strong as long as it keeps coming up with new songs, new stories and new stars. Carrie Underwood when she started on American Idol, told Simon Cowell one day, You sir, do not understand country music, well he didn’t and still doesn’t today, but Carrie Underwood does and is worth 20 million bucks a year today.

        When tragedy hits the world of America as a nation, Country Stars step up with songs about that. When wars happen you hear Toby Keith singing his songs about putting a boot in their ass, it’s the American Way. This is country at it’s best in my opinion. and if I can’t understand what a singer is singing, the lyrics I don’t want to listen to them.

         Music is the basis in many minds, hearts and souls, that brings smiles, tears, motion, laughter and fears to the human heart. Country does it best for me, with it’s ballads, from greats, like Patsy Cline, Hank Williams and yes even Hank Williams Jr. I am not a redneck or a southerner, but the tunes are great when they hit the ears. Josh Turner, Scotty Macready, and others. They bring smiles, laughter, fun and enjoyment god bless country!

 

      

Embarassing Republicans !!!!!!


     Across America there is a scramble and fight going on for the Republican Nomination for President of the United States. As this scrap, scramble, fight goes, we have four so-called grown men making a mess of each other and their party. The Republicans are looking like the Stooges in an old slapstick movie, and it isn’t getting any prettier either. Do they really belive, honestly that the way this is going they will have a leg to stand on up against, President Obama?

        It’s become one serial comedy act after another for these four candidates.In my book three of them should pack up and go home, quickly and leave Mitt Romney to run. but like in the old Stooges films, Curley=Gingrich, Larry=Santorum, Paul=Shemp, and Moe=Romney all have their own little comedy bits in this act, they won’t stop playing!.

       Listen Curley=Gingrich, Larry=Santorum and Shemp=Paul, stop hindering the only candidate among you Moe=Mitt Romney, or your party will not have any chance at winning period!. Your like a bunch of kids from the Family Circus in the Sunday Papers, running around going he did it, no he did it!. Face reality and lets move on ok. If Curley=Gingrich or Larry=Santorum want a chance at the Republican nomination they should take it in the next election cycle, not now. As to Shemp=Paul, well at his age I don’t blame him for wanting a say at the convention, I would too, for it will probably be his last one.

        Larry=Santorum wants to push his ideas and morals on the American people, relating to religion and child-birth and abortion. Sorry Larry, but you are going to fight a losing battle there, abortion and the right to plan a family and the female body belongs to the females. Women need to get together in a public forum or convention and argue out when it is right for them to abort a child or fetus, we men shouldn’t have any say unless the child is a result of a marriage period. I know if I was forcefully impregnated by being raped by someone I wouldn’t want to keep the child either, it just gets hated as it gets older.

       Then we have Curley=Gingrich, he falls asleep at events and forgets where he is and why. Come on now Curley, you know you don’t have the energy and strength to be President nor the backing to win either, the money is drying up now anyway for you. Mr. Gingrich all due respect for your past political career and life, but don’t you really think it’s time to retire?

      Shemp=Mr. Ron Paul, Sir, I respect your age, your experience and you as a man as I am sure all of America and the World does now, but , if you must stay in this race to the White House, we can all understand. Your earned it by running decently every time you have. You can hold you head high in public and private sir, there is no shame in saying ok, I can’t win the nomination, I shall suspend my run.

       I know both Shemp=Ron Paul and Curley=Gingrich are more than likely still running to get their say in the Republican Platform in August at the Convention. Moe=Mitt Romney should by now realize that is what these two want, and should sit down with them and let them have their say at the convention. As to Larry=Rick Santorum, well, he runs just to run and have fun too in my opinion, but his views are not republican views one hundred percent. If Moe=Mitt Romney has a brain in his head he will offer Larry=Rick Santorum something good to step aside and back him for election come November.

         As long as the Stooges keep stopping Moe=Mitt Romney or trying to stop him from getting the Nomination, they are destroying their party in the eyes of Americans everywhere, by looking childish, foolish and idiotic, like little kids squabbling over who’s in charge in a  game. Games up boys, now, calm down, and behave, or America, will treat you as the spoiled little kids you are and send you to your rooms, whether you want it or not!. Wake up, boys, the clock is ticking!.
