Voices of Concern: Elections and America’s Future

Well November has arrived as we all know, The Temperatures are dropping here in Massachuetts. It is getting chilly once more. As we hea dinto the colder months I hope all, have a warm home and family.

Today is Election Day once again, and i hope all voted where they should, the choices of course are yours. Just try to remember you votes count and can change the direction of each state, and the country you are voting in. Be careful with who and what you vote for, for the effects can be long term as we are all learning today, in modern America.

That said, onward the world will go, with life and more. For the first time inm any decades Americans are struggling, looking for work, food, housing and trying to maintainand take care of their families. IT has become a time in my mind, we are bordering on economic failure and so close to a depression. People are out of work due the the loss os jobs, Federal Governement cutbacks and more. Their savings are diminishing and many are now homeless and in food lines and soup kitchens. It hasn’t been this bad, sinc ethe Great Depreesion days folks, so I think some should think about why it is so, and how it has come about. For those who voted for it and have gotten it, I think many are now sorry about it too. It is indeed a sad state of affairs, when an American President, only has a 36 percent popularity and is not even at the mid-terms yet. I see failure on the economic front, the healthcare fron’t, the social front at this point. Bad decisions left and right and the world is laughing at America for all it’s failures and disappointments, we are now suffereing. I will remind all, agree or disagree with what I am saying, as to disappointments, but in the end, you voted for it all. So, it is up to you to change it back.

I remind all, I write blogs like this as opinion pieces, and the opinions express are my own. we still have Freedom of Speech, Freedom or the Press and Freedom of Religion. I hope all who agree vote well and all who do not agree do too. But, in the end, the way this country goes will change many Americans futures folks, be carefull what it is please.

In the meantime life shall roll on for me as i age more and watch the world change. I pray and hope everyday, that we keep our COnstitution, We keep our Bill of Rights and lal the rights contained in it. I pray an dhope we stay a Republic and a democracy and we can hold our heads high, as one of the Greatest Nations ever an dmaintain our status and position in the world. God Bless America Folks, for I served her for 16 years and I am proud of it too.

One last note for today, Vice President Dick Cheney has passed today at 84 years old. No Matter what your political beliefs, or persuasion, He served us all HOnorably and with integerity an ddid the best her could. He deserved the flags at Half Mast, he deserves a Governement Funeral and burial and to be Honored as a man who did what was right. Anyone saying differently, needs to step back and remember, No one is forced to run for office and no one serves because theydon’t want to, they do it for the good of their country. Honor Vice President Cheney folks and say thank you!

Wake Up America: The Danger of Passivity in Politics

Hello, Westborough, Massachuetts and the world. I hope all are doing well, having fun and getting by just fine, these days. Life is what you make it they say, and each day does take a bit of an effort to get out there and interact. Some look at me, as being an old man, and I don’t consider myself that way really, even though I joke about it all. Age is really just a number and you can’t avoid, aging folks, but your attitude you can control. Laugh, have fun, and remember whatever you put your mind to, you can get done, if you just stick to it.

Next, It is early here I awoke at 5:30 am again which is these days becoming a regular ritual on my part. I have my coffee and read the news and e-mails I may get, even comments on my blog if I can some. I just like to see what people think these days. I mean, look at the world and how fast it has changed for all Americans since Joe Biden is out of office. I pray there will be enough of America left by 2028 for our children and grandchildren to enjoy.

Changes are rapid and many are angry type and nasty type too. Our own system of democracy and our republic are at stake here. Yet American are passive toward it all and letting it happen before our very eyes. If you don’t like what is happening Americans, I think you need to wakeup, ad voice the facts, and fight back. If you don’t, there won’t be a America anymore, for the passive get over taken quickly and they get forced into auticratic and communistic rule. everything that iis being done by today’s American President, was done before in the world, and each time it took the world to wars. HItler did it the same way, and well we all know history I would hope, and that wa sthe biggest turmoil and war ever, World War 2. Will it happen again, it is beggining to look like it may, right here in America. The danger is real follks, and until we stop it all, it will continue.

No Man, woman or child should be above the law, No President should have unlimited powers in America. The Forefathers, put in the System of Governement we have fora reason, it’s called checks and balances. We nee dto let those Checks and Balances work once more and stop the maddness now in Office. Before it is too late folks or America goes down. It has started it’s decline now and if it continues, we shall all be speaking Russian soon.

Let me be clear here, I do not agree with, condone the policies put forth under the CUrrent President or his Adminstration. Nor, do I approve of his choices for key positions in our Governement. They stink each and everyone of them. I wnat them change, I don’t want RFK Jr. Running our Health, I don’t want Kristi Noem either, I hate Pete Hegseth and what he is doing to our Department of Defense, now they want to call it the War Department, doesn’t that sound to you like osmeone is looking for a war to fight these days? The education Department is disappearing piece by piece, why? Medicare and Medicaid is constantly under attack, Social Security is too now. Why? What is left for future generations when they now have to work to at least 69 to retire and they won’t even have Social Security left for them? What happened to the gOvernement for the people and by the people? What happened to take care of our own? The elderly, are running out of coverages and protections and no one cares anymore! Sadly, even the Veteran’s Administration is under attack these days, and we the Veteran’s who kept our country free for the future are losing benefits and resourses why? Don’t we deserve our benenfits anymore? or is it alright for a bone spur complaining individual who never served one day to steal it from us all? What is it Americans, why are you allowing all of this to happen?

Since when does an American President step up on a podium at Nato and tell the world their countries suck? Who is he to represent usin this way. He is being laughed at on the world stage and we are declining in stature and pride and position, because we allow him to do it. Wake up, stop him now! I remind all many empires before teh American Empire have died out and destroyed themselves, by following courrupt leaders, evil leaders or greedy leaders. Our current leader orpresident is all three of the above. The Aztecs, The Incas, The Japanesse, The Germans, the Romans and so many more lost their empires following one mad man. Let’s not do it America, lets fight back. If you love democracy, you love our Republic, our wya of life, Freedom of Speech, and the right to your own religion, then I say fight back now, Preserve and Protect it I say. I remind all, of what one of the Founding Fathers said” Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neith liberty or safety” Ben Franklin’s 1755 warning against trading freedom, for comfort still sparks debates about rights, security and governement over reach today. I think Americans need to take heed to it and all of our ForeFathers. If we lose our guts, our fight anf our rights, we lose all we are. If we lose Freedom of Speech, our choice to Politics and religion, our right to earn a good living or or right to education, we lose America. and that my fellow Americans is what the current Administration and current President is tearing down. It must stop now.

We need a new Theodore Roosevelt folks, He sai dit best when trying to save America, Speak Softly, qnd carry a big stick: you wil go far. His words reflected a belief in calm diplomancy, but with strength in reserve. The phrase defined U.S. foreign policy and projected America’s rising global power in the early 1900’s. We need it again and to stand by it.

Embracing Change: Insights for Seniors in the New Year

Hello all, it’s Saturday December 14th , 2024 already! The year has flown by for me and I believe for many others also. An old song said it best, Time, Time, Time, it’s telling me a story. Time does march on no matter what as we all know, and in less than two weeks we hit Christmas again and then the New Year of 2025 will be next. My hope is for a peaceful time for all, but, I know that may not be, due to changes in government, politics and attitudes. yet, asa Senior Citizen I am doing what many before me and with me will be doing, keeping my head low, saving my money and surviving, the best I can. It is a basic approach for sure, but a necessary one in today’s American world.

I set for myself some objectives for 2025 and I hope to full fill them the best I can. Every year people world wide make resolutions for themselves and try to stick to them, well I am no different. With one exception, I try to make any resolutions I make, realistic and attainable. Making resolutions that are unrealistic, just dampens down the hope one has, so make them realistic and honest and you may attain them.

I have resolved to try to get out more and be more friendly and open to others. I have resolved also, to avoid negative people with bad attitudes. Look, I am honest about this, I can not take angry, mad people, who believe no matter what, they are right, and everyone else is wrong. I can’t stand people with a stick up their ass, because they believe they are better than all of us. I will avoid them from now on. I do not like people who have what I call double standards. It’s ok for them to do something, but not for you or I right! Bull shit!

I have resolved to avoid people who can turn nasty in a heartbeat, for stupid minor reasons also. It all seems so childish and immature to me. Now I have been convinced in the past by friends, to return to the fray so to say and hold the course and give others a second chance, that’s fine. But, as the old saying goes, fool me once shame on me, fool me twice forget me. I shall just do what is right for me and avoid trouble when I see it, from now on. I am I guess set in my ways at my age, and yes I can be sometimes a pain in the ass, or accidently upset someone, but never intentionally like others I have seen. No one is perfect and I am far from that, but I am not ignorant, nasty, impolite to people on purpose like some I see.

That said, I wanted to open up the possibilities I had coming in the new year and try to help others and myself. So volunteered to open a new Club where i live and give it a try, if it doesn’t work, like some have told me, well, it’s no hair off my ass, at least I gave it a shot. I also wanted to try to join in more events and clubs where I live and talk to more people in general. Since my wife passed in 2021 and I moved here to Chauncy Lake in Westborough, Ma. I have kept to myself for the most part. I think even if I get involve din more clubs here and volunteer for service elsewhere in town, I must guard against cruel, uncaring people, with nasty attitudes. I learned growing up there are two types of people in the world, one is the competitive ones who must win at everything they do, and the second is like me, non-completive, and able to accept when we lose with a smile. Winning at silly game is not important to me, never was, it not whether you win or lose it how much fun you have playing it. For the competitive person you tell them that, and they will argue with you over it, and tell you what’s the sense if you don’t win? Simple folks, just trying to fit in and be social and acceptable counts.

As time rolls on now, and 2024 comes to it’s end and 2025 begins to come in focus and to begin, we must remember first and foremost all are human. We have flaws, we have faults, we are not perfect and we must all learn to accept the same in one another. Secondly, we must all come to realize we can not get along with everyone we meet, so we learn to adapt and choose and avoid the ones we don’t. I have learned in many ways since living in a 55 plus community, life is not a bowl of cherries so to say. You won’t love all your neighbors, you can’t be friends with all, but you can be kind, generous and you can avoid those who don’t accept you for who you are. It is what I must do, in my own life. You want to know the people to avoid, angry people, nasty people, impolite or insulting people, bossy people, and in the end, people who are two faced, liars, and just down right rude. Thats the list I avoid and will going into 2025.

For 2025, I want to smile more, I want laugh more, I want to write more, I want to live like I was dying. Try to go places and see things i have never seen, enjoy the company of people I have never met, learn from those around me. But, I also want to be able to accept the difference and move forward, and keep a good nature to me. I have never been discriminating against anyone, nor am I predijuced against anyone. I don’t usually hold hate in, and I don’t hate for no reason. So to those who do, do me a favor, look in the mirror first, for if you hate so much, you must also hate yourself. Just my belief.

As 2025 comes into focus, America faces changes, it faces things it never thought it would. As Americans we must fight against, being drawn into wars, for we have enough of our own problems here at home. Immigration and the border isone thing to fight, but it must be fought with common sense, and compassion. We can’t lock up women and children, or toss them in a haphazard manner with out caring. We shouldn’t allow the Department of Education to be shut down either. Nor should we allow, vaccines that saved billions of Americans and others in the world to be banned. This will only bring back illness and death to the world and America. So many things are being planned by Trump and his new Administration that are not logical in any way. For instance, What is Elon Musk doing, being given the control of the American budget for? I remind all Elon Musk is a South African, who immigrated here, and now he is going to be leading DOGE! What is that shit? He is going to decide for America, how many employees our government is going to have? Nice, that means an increase in the unemployment ranks for sure, and more damage to our economy. You can’ just cut jobs and benefits to working people and think we will be ok folks, it doesn’t work that way.

As 2025 comes into focus in my mind, I am glad in many ways I am over 68, retired and on my own. But, us seniors and veterans, disable or not, depend on our social security checks and disability checks to survive. We earned them, and it would be nasty to cut us. As to Social Security, future generations not grandfathered in or currently collecting, they want to strip you of this. Will Americans be foolish enough to allow it? It’s you future, and I expect you may wake up when you find out they are trying to, and all the work and payments in you made will not be there for you when you can’t work anymore. But, who am I right, I am an average American guy is all, but logic tells me this direction is not good for future generations, my kids, my grandchildren and more. It’s a sad state of affairs if it happens.

Women in the military serve daily and have now for many decades. They provide and serve strongly in many positions of importance. From Nursing to engineering, to leadership and more. Now they want to say women can not go into battle zones. Let me say this, it didn’t stop women from doing so, during the American Revolution, or during the Civil War, or any of the World Wars, or wars since. They knew their purpose, they volunteered and died in service too. They know the risk like all men do. Stop trying to take away their rights. Stop trying to tell them what to do with their bodies too. Let them have abortions, if it was you daughter who was raped, you would want her safe. Incest happens, no female should be forced to carry a pregnancy full term and give birth to a baby she didn’t want in the first place. It’s sad world, what’s next you going to repeal the right to vote for women?

2025, marks my 69th year alive, I was born in 1956. I was raised in the 1960’s and 70’s. Life was different then. We got disciplined and corrected regularly. Our parents worked hard, came home raised us even if both of them worked. We never were hungry, we never were naked, we never were cold, and we went to school, when we were supposed to. We didn’t have computers, and video games and consoles, or big screen tvs. No, we went outside and played. We played with other children, we played sports, ran the woods and laughed and cried. Mom would say, be home by dark or by supper and we did it. We survived. Look privilege is one thing, money doesn’t buy common sense though does it, it doesn’t buy social skills or logic either. You learn it as you grow up because your parents teach it to you. They should anyway and they should have taught you manners too. If they didn’t they failed you in many ways. Today, too many parents leave their children to video game consoles to be babysat. Mine never did. They taught us to clean and cook too, to dress ourselves and the normal habits you should have of being clean and neat in appearance. What happened to that America folks? What happened to teaching morals and ethics to your children? Where did that world go, America?

Let me close this way today, 2025 will be a large change for all Americans as a society. I have a prediction for America for the future. I see it as a falling Empire, like the Aztecs, The Incas, the Romans, and even the Germans. we are failing because we do not adhere to what works, we change too many things. Ever stop to remember the old saying folks; Leave things alone if they work, don’t mess with it? Well America has messed with too many of it’s core values, and it will pay a price like all the empires and societies before us. As, Ben Franklin said after the Constitution was Signed, We shall have a republic as long as we keep it! When we start to deviate too far, we shall lose it and fall from grace, and lose our democracy and republic and our rights without realizing we are. I hope it doesn’t happen, at least in my remaining lifetime, but when it does, the the last great Empire and nation on the planet shall disappear!.

Supporting Veterans and Seniors: Community Needs and Solutions

As the snow flies and settles on the ground for the first time this year in my area of Massachusetts, I watch the battle over the incoming Presidential Administration and President and go what did we do? I voted the other way, so yes I may be a bit bias here, but, I pray we survive, the next four years of autocratic rule, under Trump. I tire of those who are woke, or die-hard MAGA backers, saying it won’t be bad, we will be fine. Before you say that, I say lets wait and see, where it goes from this.

First up now is Trump’s Nominations for Cabinet Positions. As we found out quickly, Matt Gaetz did not make it far, as his Attorney General Pick. Now we are on to a man, Pete Hegseth, who is a accussed sexual abuser, and some say heavy drinker and possible alcoholic. While he served his country, and yes I saw that, one with a temper and opinion of women not belonging in the military is just dead wrong for the Department of Defense. Look, America has had a military of both genders for many decades and more. Women provide expert care medically, they provide excellent warfare too. We have seen it over time, so why, try to kick them out? In my opinion, anyone who drinks, has a temper and a sour opinion of one gender or the other does not belong handling the budget and deployment of our military in anyway. What is needed is a military person, who is stable, experienced, fast thinking and not predijuced or discriminating in anyway. Someone who has experience in leadership, and knows the military might, and won’t try to steal from it’s budget. Hegseth, has been accussed of syphoning funds from Veterans Organizations in the past, he should not be let loose with a budget like our military has.

That said, next, thought by me currently. Here in my Hometown, in Massachusetts, I was talked to about a Volunteer position on a Veterans Board for a Senior/ Veteran’s Center in town. I applied, whether I get the position or not, I know as a Disabled Veteran myself, what Veterans need. We do not ask for others to be overly empathic to us, or to pity us. We like to be listened to, and at least recognized for the sacrifices we made, while serving. We want our benefits yes, monetary wise and medically. We would like a Veteran’s area the does in some ways cater to us. Some of us need counseling for PTSD, Help for injuries and loss of limbs. Some of us need a place we can gather and hold informal gathering to talk about our service time. Some of us need prescription coverage and we have that thru the Veteran’s administration, but not all veterans know where to go to get help, who to call, and how to qualify. Some of us have lost our DD-214s, and records and need to access them for help. We need Veteran’s Counselors in The Senior center for these reasons.

There is a need for exercise equipment, special seating and tables, wheelchairs. Veteran’s want things to occupy their minds and their spirits and hearts too. Things like pool tables, ping pong tables, puzzles and books. Art and Craft services also, for Veterans need to know they are giving back for all they get and many have hidden artistic talents. They have ideas, they can put forth to help themselves and others and they understand that what will be accepted, are those items and ideas that help them but also the whole community. Interaction between Seniors and their community and Veterans and their community will not only help Veterans and Seniors, but their families also. Relieving some of the burden on the families of veterans and Seniors will help the community and give families a break from constant caring and pressure, they go through.

To have a phycologist on hand, once a week or monthly, would help also. as I stated earlier, Veterans and Seniors do not want pity, we do not want, unnecessary attention, because someone feels empathic for us or think because we are injured or hurt or senior citizens, no we want a place to be among people our own age, our own special types of people like veterans. There will be a time when the only ones who understand what a Veteran is going through will be another veteran, just as, the Senior population at times would like to be among their own age group for interactions, discussions, support and more.

There should be a quiet spot for those who want some time alone or isolation too. This gives them time to gather their thoughts and ideas and to calm down if upset. While, card games and other interactions will help also, it is best to encourage Veterans and Seniors in many of the same ways. So, yes, social events would help also, such as help with meals, or financial planning and help in who to contact and how, for certain things. Emergency Services, should be available by the staff who run the center, with the phone lines and internet addresses available.

Sometimes, a Veteran or a Senior may just want to Zone out, and relax and try to either calm down or handle their anxieties and fears. Television rooms can be handy for this. Sometimes it takes, just one other person to be present to help someone to start talking, and discussing and getting advice from. No two Seniors, or two Veterans are the same folks, each has their own unique difficulties, and problems and things they need help with. Some need special help at home, and there should be references to Nursing and Medical Help lines and Ambulances. Hospitals will always be available of course in our area, advice on which ones Veterans can go to, or a Senior person should go to, should be listed.

As, times change so shall the needs of both Veteran’s and Senior Citizens. we must have a place for ideas, recommendations, and from both the Veteran’s and Seniors. Some place or box or bin, to drop in their ideas, their needs requests, so as a Community and a combined Senior and Veteran’s Center, can be brought forward and discussed and if needed and approved, instituted, for all who use the Center.

A Director or Manager must be on site 24/7 when the Center is open. A Finanacial Officer is needed to control costs within budget and to come up with ways to increase funding by donations and more. A Out Reach Program to reach the community and let them know the needs of the Senior/ Veterans Center is vital. The more the community of Westborough, understands, the better for the Center and those who use it. many will says, oh, we don’t have a Veteran in our family or we don’t need Senior care for some in our families. It must be pointed out that as we age we all need help in some way, and that Veterans specifically, served all of us. And that you may never know, when your son or daughter, will decide to join the Military, and serve their country. It is understood, that many now a days, won’t volunteer, due to political or personal beliefs, fears or whatever. In the end it must be pointed out that because many did and do each day, we are a free and patriotic and democratic republic. We owe the Seniors and The Veteran’s in many ways, and we should help and support each of them, in any way we can. For as we age as citizens, both men and women, we all should acknowledge our Veterans and Seniors, they gave so we can be free and a decent society.

A large part of any Senior/ Veterans Center should be social functions, such as meals for the needy, bingo, and dances, for all of both sexes to mingle. Many Seniors are lonely and believe they will never find a new partner in their lives. Age does that to all of us folks and we must remember any help with preventing the loneliness syndrome in the Seniors and Veterans. is vital. There are many Seniors and Veterans who are dealing with emotional trauma, ptsd, loss of a spouse, and they need someone to talk to and interact with, to help them through the difficult times.

As I, finish writing this today, I stop and remember the Widows and Widowers who sudenly found themselves alone. The Veterans who sit at home by themselves, wondering where to turn next for help. Not all, are capable of caring for themselves, or for others around them. What is needed also is a program that reaches out more aggressively, for Volunteers to help Veterans and Seniors. While the newsletters and pamphlets are well done currently, a more intense effort must be made, in this area, due to the increasing population of Seniors, Veterans and more.

These are a few of the ideas and thoughts I have regarding the Veterans and Seniors of Westborough and our community. I am sure, there are many more things that can be brought up and out and can be considered too. Special Events trips for shopping, sports or events and more can be used too. While I am just one person, as a Senior Citizen and Veteran, many of these thoughts are ideas. It would take work, and effort to put many in place and improve what is ahead.

The Hypothetical Shift to Autocracy in the U.S.

What would an autocratic America look like?

Imagining an autocratic America paints a rather stark picture. The essence of autocracy is concentrated power, typically in the hands of a single leader or a small group, with minimal political pluralism. Here’s what it might involve:

Key Elements of an Autocratic America:

  1. Centralized Power: A single leader or ruling party holds significant control over the government. This often involves bypassing democratic institutions like Congress and the judiciary, leading to a concentration of power.
  2. Limited Political Freedoms: Political opposition is often suppressed, and dissent is not tolerated. This might involve the restriction or elimination of free speech, assembly, and press freedoms.
  3. Censorship and Propaganda: Media would likely be heavily controlled by the state to ensure that only the official narrative is broadcast. Independent journalism would struggle to survive.
  4. Restricted Civil Liberties: The rights of citizens, such as privacy and protection from arbitrary arrest, might be significantly curtailed. Surveillance and policing could become much more pervasive.
  5. Economic Control: The government may exert strong influence over the economy, potentially including nationalization of industries and redistribution of resources to maintain support.
  6. Erosion of Checks and Balances: Traditional mechanisms that ensure accountability, such as independent judiciary and legislative oversight, would be weakened or eliminated.

Impacts on Society:

  1. Social Polarization: Autocracy could deepen social divides, with those in favor of the regime enjoying privileges, while dissenters face discrimination or persecution.
  2. International Relations: The shift could lead to strained relationships with democratic nations and alignments with other autocratic states, potentially altering global dynamics.
  3. Public Fear and Compliance: Fear of retribution could foster a culture of compliance and silence, stifling innovation, creativity, and critical thinking.

While this is a hypothetical scenario, it’s important to consider that societies are resilient and people often find ways to resist authoritarian tendencies. The United States’ foundation of democratic principles and a tradition of civil liberties serve as robust safeguards against such a shift.

What’s your perspective on how such a dramatic change might be resisted or mitigated?

Vote Harris / Walz, save the American republic, save democracy, lets end Trump and his MAGA movement now

September 26th, 2024, time marches on, for all of us upon the earth. Mankind is the most destructive force on the planet, but as we can see, from earth quakes, hurricanes, tornados and more, the planet is fighting back. The planet will continue to do so, unless we treat it better. And yes climate change is real folks, we see it everyday across the world. We need to protect our planet and enviroment a lot better than what we are doing, or it become inhabitable for humans and we have no place to go, and we shall cease to exist.

Next subject for discussion is the political mess, that is the Presidential Election of 2024. It is as all are saying a closely knit race and in the end it is the biggest decision to make for all americans who can vote come November 5th. I know many are going to say, I am a liberal, or a die hard democrat, but in the end the choice to me is very clear. I have watched many elections in my lifetime, from 1960 to now, and never, have I seen, a more critical and important decision to face the American people.

So, let me state this in the most simple manner I know how. If, America chooses to elect Donald J. Trump President again, it could be the worse mistake America has ever made in it’s 248 year old life. Lets discuss the facts for all to see; 1) Trump was given his fortune and never earned it, and he has committed bankruptcy so many times it is hard to count. 2) Trump couldn’t sell water, steaks either, he failed. he paid contractors pennies on the dollar for services and supplies to build buildings. 3) In his term as President Trump accomplished nothing, no wall, no getting mexico to pay for it, he bungled and screwed up the covid crisis telling Americans to drink bleach. 4) As President he only passed a tax plan that saved himself and his rich cronies money, nothing for middle america. 5) Trump was Impeached twice in one term, he’s the only one in history for that. 6) Trump lost the 2020 election by over 80 million votes, yet refused to concede it. Instead he called for the Proud Boys ad others to come to Washington and they held a riot and destroyed parts of the capital, and chased lawmakers into hiding. 7) when told he needed to stop it, trump sat in the White House Dinning room and watched it on tv for over four hours, doing nothing to stop it. 8) When Trump left Washington, he slunked out of town, and took with him Top Secret and Scret documents to his residence, Mar A Lago. And then refused to return them. 9) He has been indicted now 94 times for crimes he has committed against the country. 10) Trump has been convicted of 34 crimes already. 11) Trump interfered in the electorial procress, of confirming the election results for his own benefit no one elses. 12) Trump killed Roe v Wade taking away womens’ rights. 13) He has angered women, he has angered Veterans and Military personal, left and right, calling Veterans suckers and losers. 14) Trump talks down to balck women and men across the land and treats them like second class citizens. I am sure blacks, hispanics know he is racist, if they vote for him they should know they are burning themselves. 15) Trump is now attackingg the Jewish population in American, saying if he doesn’t win in November they will be to blame, thats crap. We are in a sad state and our future will be determined November 5th, 2024. If Trump wins we will be the laughed at world wide. Wake up ! 16) Trump wants to kill the Education Department, why? 17) Trump was laughed at when he went to Nato as President, now he wants to pull us from it. Isolation is not America’s way, we fought World Wars to help friends and more, be real. As a disabled veteran myself, I do not take it lightly that he called us Military and Veteran’s sucker and losers. He dodged the draft twice, with fake medical bone spurs, wake up.

Let me close this way, If Trump wins on November 5th, 2024, America loses. We lose our status in the world, we lose our freedoms, ask the women, they know. We lose in all ways, but most of all we will be sold out by Trump to Russia and Putin and Kim Jung Un too. Americans have to realize they will have to learn russian and buy babbel, to earn it. We will lose our rights, our freedoms, our republic, the democractic style of government we live under. This is just what Ben Franklin warned us about after the Constitution was signed. Don’t let it happen my fellow Americans ! A vote for Trump is a vote to turn America into a communist state, we do not need a dictator, or to be autocratic in anyway. Please use your heads, for the last 8 years we have lived with the threats and warnings from Trump and his MAGA movement, it is time to stop him and his movement and lets go forward, not back ! Vote Harris / Walz, save the American republic, save democracy, lets end Trump and his MAGA movement now ! Enough is enough !

Ban Trump, and Jan. 9th for me !

January 9th, 2024 is upon us, been a slow, overcast day, with the snow that fell here lately, They are calling for another storm, some snow and rain next. Seems I am in a valley area that attracts these things in the winter, I had no idea. Being new to Westborough, Mass and Massachuestts as a state, I had no idea here. Yet, I live din Connecticut for most of my life, so snow is no big deal to me.

As to things other than weather for me, I don’t go out much except to shop for groceries or to Doctors and Dentists. I basically gave up on trying to find a woman to replace my wife who died, first off, I don’t believe I will find another like her, secondly the women in Westborough, Mass, and the area seem either stuck-up, or scarred or not in my age range. It will probally be along, lonely, life for me, till I finally pass away and joing my deceased wife. I have come to accept the fact that, I am not a handsome man, nor am I a comic or laughing all the time. So, I walk a lot as I have said before and build puzzles, watch tv and read when I can. I definitely fell like one of those Grouchy Ole Men in that old movie, I could probaly pass for Walter Mathue in it. I have surrendered like he did, and putter day by day is all.

I don’t playing golf folks, nor am I a big fan of pickleball these days after trying it and hurting my ankle. I bought a guitar and was going to teach myself, but, I have lost interest in doing so. It would take a large effort by me to learn it, and I don’t want to pay for lessons. Hell, I wil be 68 in 16 days now. I am not running any races, nor competing with another man for a woman’s attention. I don’t want any woman reading this, thinking I hate women or don’t like them, that would be false. I just accept the fact, they are scared, have anxieties, are not interested in an elderly man my age anyway they want someone younger. I guess the younger men, bring them more joy. I find the town of Westborough a nice place overall, yet it has no place for the elderly, besides it’s Senior Center. I find the town as a whole, pretty rough on it’s Senior Citizens, if your going to build condos for 55 plus people in your townm you should not be raising taxes on those seniors at a crazy rate, and if your attracting us due to these complexes you should be giving us a break to stay. The people are nice, but, realistically, the town is built for a younger generation.

The hardest part of being a widower is pulling yourself back together after the loss of your spouse. Then, you try to get used to not having a parther to talk to, to take care of or to support you. Many like myself have moved away from where they loss their spouse and into condos like these in Westborough. We do so, to have aplac eof our own, we grieve, and we survive and interact with others our age the best we can. As adults we know not to get involved with others in any serious relationship that live here. It is easy to see why, you cross that line, and something goes wrong in anyway, and it becomes a mess and one half or the othe ris forced to leave the complex. relationships can be messy for sure in that way, never mind how messy that can be at our ages here.

Making friends is one thing like I say, but crossing the line is a mess if you get my drift. So many of us, just do events put on by the community. For me I find nothing interesting in Bingo, or Majong, or Dominios really. POker players get together here also and play, but, they are pros for sure. Shit I don’t even use the swimming pool here in the hot months. If one person gets sick, and it spreads like wildfire in such a community too, so being careful is what we all are. Many belive when you get older and go to a retirement community it’s all fun and games, and there is a high rate of interaction between men and women on a sexual basis, but again, when you live in the same complex you are crossing a line one should never do.

The next problem with living in such a retirement community is, it is like Peyton Place was on TV. Everyone watches one another and the gossip and rumor mill runs wild. You do something, and before you know it, it is all over the compound that you did and the talking begins. people point fingers, make statements, and it causes animonisty and anger and can get out of control for sure, as others choose sides. So, I avoid it all, in all ways I can, by staying to myself, minding my own buisness, and not commenting on most or all that happens. Not my business in my opinion.

As to venturing out in the town or neighboring towns I don’t do that either, because i have no idea of any place to go out to, or what to do where. I get advice like you should get out more, but going anywhere alone sucks. I am used to having a wife to do thiongs with, and of course she is gone now. Then I get questioned about family, well I have none close to me, and I am alone, is my answer. I refuse to bea burden or impose on anyone period. I won’t go there, it’ isn’t right in my mind or heart either.

As to other items, I have been tracking sports, I follow the Celtics, The Pats, my Vikings, The Red Sox too. I am a sports fan in most sports, Hockey may be the one exception for me, if I can’t follow it due to the pace or see the ball, well. lol !

Sometimes I wonder, what will happen next in politics in America or in the world too. Wars in two areas, Congress not acting right, fake Impeachments not needed, being done out of revenge not, on real basis or evidence. All crazy in today’s America. An ex-President who believes he has full immunity for crimes he committed in office, states banning him from ballots, 91 charges, 4 indictments against one ex_president, who already has 2 impeachments while in office. Documents taken out of Washington, DC that were Tap Secret and Secret stored in a private residence in Florida. W ehad riots after the 2020 Election in Washington, calle dby a President and that islablean insurrection now. HUndreds in jail because a President asked them to do what they did. Be real here folks, we saw it all on television, President Trump called for the Proud Boys, Oath Keepers and more toc ome to Washington that day. Be real, then he directed them to go to the capital. I fthat is not leading a riot and insurrection, I don’t know what is. Be real.

I want to add one more thing here, if, the Appeals Court or Supreme Court holds that Trump had immunity for everything that happened leading up to and surrounding January 6th, and all the occurred after, while he was in office, what doe sthat say for future Presidents and what they can do while in office and get away with ? So, you telling me, that a Presidentc an order his rival can be ordered killed by him and he doesn’t have to pay for it or be held accountable for it ? Hmm, if so, stop and think what can be done while a President is in Office for 4 years, if it is hidden, or not. American Democracy would be done folks, out Republic is shot then and we don’t elect President’s anymore, we elect short term dictators ! We are Americans folks we know better than that, and i am sure the courts know too. What is happening in Trump’s cases here, and what he has done, has never happened in 235 years of this countries extistance and should never be allowed, you know it and so do I. I admire the States of Colorado and Maine for being brave enough to step up and ban Trump, I think more states should too. God Bless America is all I can say and I pray Trump is banned,, tried and convicted and removed from all ballots.
