America, America, Wake up!


      The song goes America, America, God shed it grace on thee, and crowned thy good with brotherhood from sea to shinning sea!.  The truth is America does have brotherhood but not as much as it should be, we are divided over issues that many nations would laugh at and others would ignore.

        Skin color, the nationalities of each of us,the money levels we have and locations. Than on top of that division is religion and matters of history that divide us due to past wrongs done by ancestors not us. Look America we are all on one land mass with the exceptions of Alaska, Hawaii and some islands we took in, why can’t we just admit and accept the fact we are now all one nation!.

       The bitter fighting between political parties, races, colors, monetary divisions and religion must stop. America will destroy itself if these animosities are allowed to continue to divide us all. Sad as it all sounds otherwise America is a great country and we all know it, but will the problems I speak of start it’s downfall and demise? Like many great civilizations in the past, have we run our time out and will we ultimately fall as a nation into the ruins that captured and overran and destroyed other great empires? That question will be answered long after my life is over Iam sure, but it can’t be another 100 to 500 years away before Americans find out.

        Recently a statement was made by an actor who said, Barrack Obama is not the first black American President, well if he isn’t someone tell me, what he is. Ok so he may be a mixture as people call it, but isn’t it a fact he is the first non.White or caucasian President in the history of America enough?  And ultimately, what difference does it make as to what color your leader is as long as he can lead and get things done? Silly shit people say to make controversy is all.

        Also one more thing,did you notice that this 2012 Presidential Election is boring, slow to get started and in the end non-engaging for most? Very few are paying attention to either candidate, why? Because, Americans know that no matter who is in the Office, it is ultimately Congress running the show, and they are totally messed up and stalemated. In the end whether we re-elect President Obama, or elect Romney, it will be Congress that will either let things progress forward or die where it all is. Make the changes in Congress folks, if you elect a Democrat back to the White House give him a Democratic Senate and House, if it is a Republican the same must be true, otherwise America will sit still and never advance a damn inch in any direction. Sadly Americans it is time to be smarter than the people we put in  office and make the government work once more!

      

America, How do We Stop It?


      Across America everyday, more and more violence and strange acts get committed and people act stranger and stranger. Why is this can I ask?

       I believe fully Americans have lost sight of what really counts in their lives and what they need most. They fumble about, allowing their children to do as they please, addicted to drugs, alcohol and video games and yes even computers.  Why is that, well the morals and ethics of our forefathers and grandparents have faded from American Society. The churches have less people, the decisions made are made more loosely and the lack of discipline is fully apparent in the generation currently running the youth of America.

         When I was a kid in the 1950’s and 60’s, parents smacked ya if you spoke back, were disrespectful, and they did things like take away your favorite toys or, grounded you. Today parents are too lax and easy going. Discipline is totally lacking in America’s Society. Now I remind you I am not saying abuse your child, or destroy them, nor am I saying mentally torture a child no, I am saying for all things done wrong there must be a consequence and a result for all done right. Reinforce the good and discourage the bad. one must or society in America will become a rabid bunch of dogs, barking at one another and fighting till it destroys the country.

       Yes I believe the American Dream is still alive I just think too many Americans are letting it slip away because of a lack of morals, ethics and discipline within themselves, taught by their parents who gave them all they could and let them run wild. We have become a society in America who doesn’t teach our children what it is like to earn what they want, but we give them everything and spoil them, and ultimately it makes for a person of loose morals and ethics and beliefs who thinks they can do whatever the hell they really want at anytime and not pay for it if they did wrong. Sadly, proof of this walks across America each day, in the modern era. Children blinded and brain washed by Television, computers, and video games. They have no idea what a real book is, if it is not on a tv, computer or tablet or cell phone screen. Look around you, Americans at Doctor’s Offices, Hospitals, Hair Dressers, stores, movies and more, wherever you go some screen is running, keeping someone’s attention in check. Whatever happened to reading a book, writing a story or poetry,playing outside,playing board games with family members, all of the things that kept families intact for centuries in the world?

      American Society has gone from the we society to the me society in too many ways. It is no longer we the people united can do this, or that, or we fight together, or hurt together  or improve together. It is now the me society, I got mine and you don’t, go “f “yourself and get your own!. The days of helping a neighbors child or them, is gone, Americans look at one another with too much suspicion and anger and worry. Why because we allowed the American Society to get out of control, it needs to be reined in again and given some discipline and moral and ethics rules and character once more. Who will do this I don’t know, but, I do see America’s Great Republic and Society finally beginning to crumble much like the predecessors of Rome, The Incas. and The Aztecs. Will it happen, is it time that America’s reign as the world leader is coming to an end? It needs to be examined closely by the brains and geniuses in the world but as a simple middle class American I see it happening slowly all around me. The only question should be for American’s how do we stop it?

 

Reelect President Obama


In the 1960s, we had Kennedy and his brother to  run AMerica for a while, and he changed the world by opening Germany up, fighting discrimination and predijuce, and standing tall, till shot down. Then came Lyndon Baines Johnson, who tried in vain to be a President worth having but failed because he led us deeper into the morass of Vietnam. Following him came Richard M. Nixon a man many Americans say fell into disgrace and shame and brought dishonor to the presidency, but stop and think of this if your old enough, when was the last time gas was cheap, bread was cheap and there were real jobs, Richard M. Nixon had them. I don’t agree with all he did, but I do agree with him opening up Russia, China and the world so they could work with us not against us. In between Nixon and now who has stood up as a great President and did right by the country no matter what happened in their personal life? Well, my answers are simple, James Earl Carter, Ronald Regan, William Jefferson Clinton. Each in their unique way attacked the american economy turned it around and made it work for americans. Funny how it is when you look back at the presidency, in recent times only certain ones really stand out, don’t they? Is Barrack Obama one of them, I think so, who else would finish what their predecessor started and do it right? He got Bin Laden, he brought in Health Care, he is working overtime fighting congress to create jobs and in the end he pulls us out of wars we don’t belong in. I say he is doing a fair job in office, and he needs four more  years to keep going till finished.

       The second choice would be Mitt Romney and in my opinion he is no choice. Do you see any plans for rebuilding America being given by him? Is there a firm plan for creating jobs, and why go kill a health bill just to make a name for yourself when it is helping millions of americans to have it. Sad isn’t it when a candidate can’t be positive, and ends up being only negative and wants to tear down what good someone else did.Why destroy what works and helps Americans? Just so he can get a vote and make himself look good, wrong. He is rich enough as it is and he doesn’t need the position and has no idea on world affairs, employment, health care or anything else. He is talking out his ass so to say and we all know it, send Mitt Romney home and keep President Barrack Obama in office.

 

America’s Dream, is it Real Anymore?


Is the dream that brought out forefathers here in AMerica still alive today? Or is it really a fading glory and civilization like many others before us?

       America was created on the principles of freedom for religion, freedom for enterprise and freedom for all. Is it still that way in America, well yes to a point and no to another point of it all. America still shows a promise for those who will work and make ends meet and contribute to its ways and style and actions. But for those who can not find jobs, possibilities, and promise in America, you must be persistent and reliable to get anywhere. The other thing that is killing the American Dream is somehow, somewhere along the way we seem to have crested as a society and country and as a Republic. It seems we crested in the 1960s and 1970s, and began the downfall of America from the ranks of great nations at the beginning of the 1980s and have not been able to turn it around yet. Will we,, well I am beginning to think, like the Aztecs, Peruvians, Incas and Romans we peaked after a little over 200 years in existence, funny as that may sound the glory that was America in the old days is now gone, it has faded like a hue off a light cover and become bland and not interesting anymore. The American Indians had their run, the Aztecs and Incas and Peruvians theirs too and one thing history has shown proof of is the rise and fall of nations, governments and people, period. Are we next to fall and disappear into history, as so many other governments and societies before us? I believe the answer is more likely yes, than no. So as we go on in history and time passes American’s need to remember the greater days and return to some of the things that made those days and times so great once more.

Obama Care Became Law and Politics


On June 28th, 2012 Obama Care became law of the land all must purchase some form of health care insurance and take part of the cost of helping others who do not have it. As Americans struggle from lack of jobs and a faltering economy healthcare shall now become affordable for all. The plan is not fully understood by me, but the benefits for the elderly, injured will be shortly. For the Republicans to try to stop a HealthCare Law meant to help all Americans well they need to back up and think twice. You want to help Republicans? Do us all a favor and write bills adding to health care to cover any loop holes, or problems there may be with Obama Care. Don’t try to repel this law, by doing so you will put yourself in a bad position as a political party and destroy any chance you have of winning the White House.

     As The Presidential Election gets ready to launch into full gear come August 2012, stop and think before you vote. President Obama did some things in his first term already that will mark his place in history. His Obama Care is just one, this man got the man responsible for killing thousands in New York, he ended our participation in the Iraq War and is pulling us out of Afghanistan very soon. Obama’s biggest problem in running the country is Congress that is  led by Republicans who are mad they didn’t win the White House in 2008. Well, the Republicans had 8 years to run the country under George W. Bush and ran us so deep into the red we can’t breathe, we need to give Obama four more years to dig us out. You can’t dig a hole 8 years deep and then ask one man to fill it back in in four years, doesn’t work folks!. If for no other reason, give Obama a chance to fix it all before you can him this year. Mitt Romney may look good on the stump and talking but in the end he has no solid solutions to the economy, jobs, healthcare or wars we are in. Romney may look good, and be a business person, but his statements are non-realistic at times. Lets keep what we have for now and give Obama four more years!.

      As we look around the world Canada our allies to our north have healthcare for all, and we do too now. Other countries in Europe have it too, lets use their plans and laws as a basis to fix what may be wrong or incomplete in ours and make it work for all Americans.

       And in ending today, I say this to the Republicans and Democrats in Washington, DC who are now in office, your time is up in Congress if you think you can continue to block any progress in America, because you can’t be bi-partisan, we will vote you out if you don’t vote to move the country forward!

Break the Blockade in Washington!


     June 15th, 2012 has arrived and all is really quiet on the political front it seems. Are we about to get a media blitz from the Republican Party come September or October for Romney’s mad run at the White House? Can his money really buy him the Presidency? Lets hope not, for America’s sake!

      Half way through June and it seems  no improvements have been made in the job market, medicare,medicaid and no rescue plan is in sight for us in the trade Agreements, Social Security or Postal Service jobs either!  The only part of the government actually working and thriving is the State Department under Hillary Clinton, why is that?

        I have now live through so many presidents it is silly really, when you get to 56, all you really want to do is have one damn good one in office dedicated to helping seniors and veterans and americans of all colors, races and nationalities. One that will stop the bleeding of the United States‘s money and finances and make us solvent once again. One that can and will return our credit rating as a country to the top once more and accomplish something period. A dormant America is not good for America, the World Economy or the World period, without America the world economy flounders and slows to a halt.  Sad isn’t it really, but true, we need to lead for it to all work. It doesn’t mean lead in wars, policing or fighting other countries, it means lead with brains, inprovements, science,financial control and trade agreements and in health and education too. America always led in the past and the world flourished and grew faster than anything in history and America needs to do it again.

        I tire of excuses from the Republican side about what we can do, or should do or why they disagree with President Obama on issues and why they won’t pass a bill worth the shit in Congress or trhe Senate. Sadly changes need to be made this election year, but the change is not to be in the presidency, it should be in the Republican controlled congress and they should be reduced back to the minority period. They are responsible for the log jams in Washington not anyone else, so when you vote in November, and all of us should ove r18 and legal, I say keep President Obama, trash some of the Republican Congress and lets break the blockade in Washington an dmove the country forward.

 

     

Strange Election Year so Far!


Willard Mitt Romney has the votes and is the nominee of the Republican Party, President Barrack H. Obama is the incumbant so why hasn’t the race really begun as of yet?

         They throw punches from afar like shadow boxers in a darkened room or area at one another, but neither has come up with any concrete plans to solve America’s problems. Why is that and why the jockeying for position and playing around? Kinda funny isn’t it, since, in past elections, all the way back to JFK vs Nixon the war was on hot and heavy with many debates by now, so whats happening here?

         I think politicians are now starting to get a message from some of the american public, they need to get off their asses and get something going and working or get the hell out of office! We the American People need to convey that message these days to them and put them out of work, for not doing the job they were sent to do, by us!

         Sadly, as job numbers change and start to rise again and people’s unemployment benefits run out, no one has the sense to take action and do a damn thing. Sad isn’t it? Jobs are not coming back fast enough, manufacturing is being built once more, but again not fast enough. Our place in the world market is weak now-a-days, as well as in the trade markets, thanks to trade agreements that made our imports out weigh our exports by far. Time to change that is here now!

          The Postal Service is going out of business and cutting jobs for what, because out government borrows from their budget  for other items! Bullshit put the money back, and save the Postal Service, we need it!

            Save Social Security too, stop borrowing from it, too many are on it because of age, disability and more and  we need that money to live. Wake up stop borrowing from it and leave more in there to keep it going, repay what you borrowed now!

        I don’t want to hear how you want to revoke Obama Care, unless you have a full and ready replacement for it. Too many Americans don’t have insurance and we need it damn it. Wake up! Medicare and Medicaid only pays so much, and they don’t cover enough, private insurance costs an arm and a leg. Keep Obama Care, unless you have a concrete plan to replace it period!

        Now I am asking both candidates, Romney the Republican, Obama the incumbant and Democrat, give us concrete solutions to creating jobs, to expanding business and opportunities, and saving the Postal Service, Obama Care. Medicaid and Medicare, correcting the Trade Agreements and moving America forward. If not than you don’t deserve the White House or Congress or the Senate for a job in my mind. It is time for a New Deal like Roosevelt gave us, or something close to it. wake up!

        I have lived now 56 years and seen many Presidents come and go in my life, isn’t it time someone with some guts,testestorone and brains stands up and fixes things? What kind of patty cake playing are you politicians doing at the cost of the American People? Get us out of the wars, bring the troops all home, stop policing other countries and fighting their wars. Use those funds in the billions on improving America’s economy, job markets, trade agreement, medical coverages and save the Postal Service and create jobs. Lets go damn it!

        I have seen Election Years come and go, and seen Presidents come and go, but damn why is this year so strange for an election year? It’s simple , the candidates want to hedge their bets, don’t let them and lets get this strange Election going in the right direction, hold them to their words.

        

Life, Limits and Questions


      As we go through life we face different things that affect our lives, we face loses, we face gains, we face births and we face deaths and ultimately we face reality and our on demise. Sadly, it is a truth of human life on the planet earth, that we have a limited life span. It’s a matter of fact not fiction we all have only so much time to do what we must do and get it done. Sadly, no matter what happens the human body begins to malfunction, break down and give out, muscles go, organs fail and yes we even get diseases and cancers. But it is the spirit of humanity that keeps us going, the interaction between human beings that makes life worth living, is it not?

       Each day we face endings that we wish we didn’t have to face, a pet dies, we bury or cremate them and life goes on, a parent dies and we think we will miss them forever and want them back, but nothing we can do, can make that so, yet life goes on. A parent dies and we wonder why so soon, why at that time did they have to go, we don’t have the answers, but we do know the emotional feelings of the lose. So yes we have no defined times for our lives, some children are born and die the same day or minute, some get killed out in the world playing, and some grow older and die from many causes, but we can’t define why they were all taken from us, can we?

         The biggest mystery in the world is still human life and intelligence and how we live a life span and contribute to humanities continued existence. We do it by interacting with other humans, by protecting our planet we live on, by protecting our own families and creating them. Amazingly it is all this interaction that makes humanity so human and vital on Earth.

      Mankind’s existence is not solved as to where we really came from, evolution does not give us the full answers, religion doesn’t either, it’s still the oldest question known to humanity, what came first the chicken or the egg? We shall probably never know for sure, whether the galaxies and planets we live on were created by a supreme being or it came from a big bang off a star or anything else. The old argument of Evolution vs explosion or big bang theory doesn’t really tell us much does it? For in the end the real questions are simple ones regarding it all. If a God or Supreme Being created it all, where did he, she , it come from and why did they do it? Or if it all came from a big bang off the sun or another planet then why did it happen and what caused it all? The bottom line is mysteries like our creation as a human race is and will always be unanswerable by humans, we can’t get to the point of where we came from if we don’t have any real clues  can we?

       The only way to solve any mystery scientific or otherwise is to dig as far as we can into our own past, and planets history. Yet even with the clues we gather and facts we now know, the answers do elude us, don’t they?

         Some people, believe that knowledge is power and power is to be a leader and in charge. I say real power and knowledge is knowing your own family history, where you came from and where you may go to in the future. The real power in life as a human being is being connected to those you love in such a way as you make a difference in a positive way for all of them. Life shall go on, long after I am gone said my  stepfather  said to me, live it to the fullest, and enjoy it and never forget those you love!.  As he said, I shall be gone soon, as the hours days and weeks pass, and they become months than years, I shall be gone but humanity will be here. The clock shall tick the time shall pass and life will change, enjoy it while you can. For life is limited for all women and men!

 

         

November is Coming, Race is On!


     June 1st,2012, day is sunny, cool but beautiful, the flowers are blooming and the 2012 election cycle is well under way. We now have the Incumbant President Barrack Obama vs. The Republican Challenger Willard Mitt Romney. Who shall win come November is still the biggest question currently being asked in America‘s press. But to the American people, I wouldn’t count on Romney to win, his views on religion, job creation, medicare, and Medicaid and social security and Veterans benefits will probably sink him. Not to mention his inability to connect and read the American people when it comes to job creation, manufacturing,healthcare and trade agreements. Then add in the facts concerning him and gay rights and the marriage argument and well you get the picture. He may look pretty when he laughs and talks out the side of his mouth, but where are the facts and plans to make it all work? They don’t exist, and why would anyone want to give the rich bigger tax breaks then they have now? Lets face the facts folks, if America elects Romney it will be war after war, first in policing other nations, then against his own people here at home as he gives his rich cronies tax breaks and doesn’t create jobs.

   America needs a President who will correct and protect and fix what is in place not change it all. We need the Health Care Program Obama put in for our elderly and poor and welfare people. We need jobs he is creating in manufacturing and white-collar sides too. We need Medicaid and Medicare saved and keeping going, we need a way to save the U.S. Postal Service, so first class mail comes to us at home and we get our meds for those needing them. We need to get out of war zones and bring our troops, equipment and service members home to rest here and protect the homeland not police other countries. The time has come for America to reelect Barrack Obama, and give him the support he needs in the Senate and House to push America forward, not backwards.  The time has come to let Obama finish his digging us out of the hole his predecessors put us into, financially, and get us in the black once more. You can’t ask a President to dig us out of a hole it took one before him eight years to dig, without giving him eight to fix it all.

         As you stop and think and look at Obama and Romney, do not think color, race, or even political views, think rich vs poor, think helpless vs affluent, think willing to help all, vs willing to make themselves richer and then vote when you go to the polls in November.

       If you want to know why President Obama couldn’t dig us out of a hole made in eight years in four, take a look at the logjam and blockade the Senate and House has built-in front of him, a Republican wall of rich people trying to get richer is all. Vote Democratic, lets give the President a congress to back him, not fight him. Vote out the Republican Blockers and Blockade in Congress and lets move America to a better future!.

 

Compromise, A few understand!


Compromising is the act of meeting half-way to get a solution and to make something work out between two parties. It’s the act of giving instead of taking all, it’s the act of being fair, which few know how to do. Yet we all do it whether it is in romantic areas. marriage areas, work areas. But the political parties in this country refuse to do in office. Compromising folks, makes the world go round and avoids wars, and more, why can’t out Congress and Senate and President do it?

         Once you grow old enough to grow up you begin to understand that life is full of compromising facts. You compromise with your partners everyday, whether they be, the opposite sex or the same matters not, you still compromise to keep it going. Yet America now lies in an uncompromising position of not passing any laws, any cooperation or moving anything forward, because the two political parties have decided to fight like little children in a playground. Grow the hell up folks and let’s do something for the American People, The America we love and make it all a better place to be.

       The sad fact is every four years in America, we the people have to make a choice as to which party or person we want to lead us forward into the future, and hopefully, peace, prosperity and happiness, will come from it. But in 2012, we are going to need a Uniter not a Divider, we are going to need two political parties plus a third in the Tea Party to realize, they are tearing America down by fighting it out in Washington and stopping any progress period. Sad it is that it will take the American People to correct it in November 2012. We shall have to give ourselves a boost up and out of this mess by getting the majority of the Congress and Senate and the position of the Presidency once more in one party that will make changes as needed and keep Americans with the benefits we deserve and need.

       You want to learn compromising at it’s best get married and live with the same person for ten years or better, you will find yourself compromising at surprising moments in your life. Well, we need a Senate and Congress as well as a President who knows what it means to meet half-way, to give to get and make ends meet and work out. So in November don’t compromise the truth, give the job to one party and back the candidate for President you vote for with Senators and Congressmen who will work with him, not against us all, by not compromising. Make them understand in Washington, that the big salaries they get and benefits they get must be earned by them, make them compromise and make ends meet like all of us American Families do daily.
