Writing/Boston Red Sox/Wake Up for 2014


       Writers we write for one reason or another, some of us are obsessed with events in history and people in time or places or events. Others by thoughts of what could be or can’t be, or madness and joy. We writers write to get out the repressed feelings we have on a subject or another, and we try to express how and why we feel about it all and what we might do or would do it a situation. Or we write of things that were beyond anyone’s control and try to explain why others did them. In the end the words that appear on paper or on the computer screen and in books and articles, express how we feel and there is no writer who does not write without some bias or prejudice in what they write. The fact is all writing in a magazine, book, newspaper or elsewhere is colored by the person writing it and their own views and feelings, thats writing isn’t it folks! 

Boston Red Sox 2013 World Series Champions, will hold their Celebration Parade Today in Boston. A Team that came back from the worst record in Major League Baseball to the First in Major League Baseball has to celebrate! The Town of Boston, the Red Sox and Their Fans will proudly display their faces, uniforms, and the Trophy to all in BOston and enjoy and drink in the warmth of their fans, what a day it shall be Boston, Boston Strong, Boston Sure, Boston Red Sox foreverMore! Go Red Sox Go! Love ya all! celebrate well, but Safely Boston, you deserve a Celebration not just for the Red Sox winning it, but for surviving and being Boston Strong!

The 2016 Presidential Election cycle will launch in 2014 I am sure! When it does, each candidate of each party should be fully examined before the American People make a choice. While your at it Americans, stop and think about giving your next President a House and Senate they can work with and pass bills and laws through that will help the country and  it people and the economy. For no one person as President can run a country if their Congress doesn’t want to work with them, it’s called deadlock folks and we have it and suffer for it now in President Obama’s Second Term. Wake Up!

As the Presidential candidates will line up and show up soon in public and start giving speeches, stop and think Americans which one makes more sense, which one will help more people and which one will improve jobs, the economy and can handle leading us in the world in the right direction and get along with others and play well. At this time, I think we all know who the Democrats will put up as their Nominee  if she will run, but what will the Republicans do to face off against her ? That could be a surprise, but if his name is Cruz you can forget it is all I can say!

World Series/X-Mas Stories/Secrets


     Yes Indeed! Folks here comes the World Series of Baseball, from Fenway Park, Boston, Mass. on Wednesday Night! The ST. Louis Cardinals will come to Boston, to take on the Boston Red Sox  for the Championship of Major League Baseball! Boston will host a crowded venue in Fenway Park once more to see the games, as fans from both sides will yell and scream and eat and drink and stare down opposing teams members and back the teams. The Best of Seven World Series is indeed a Fall Classic worth watching, the pitching duels coming up and the hitting stars are alone worth it all. Watch Folks for The World Series is all red this year and should be a good one. For me Win, Lose or Draw I am a Diehard Boston Red Sox Fan! Go Red Sox Go!

Ok Folks next subject today, this am I realized the Holiday Season is approaching us once more and the stores and people are gearing up for it once more in America and around the World. I do wish and pray for Peace On Earth each day and Good Will to All, believe me! Little Secrets ofMales and Females

There are things in life, men and women have some differences on and different needs in many ways, and there is no way to change it. Would we want to really, I doubt it all. Stop and think of the differences and the reasons for them and it is really an examination of not only physical differences but mental ones too.
As we all grow up there is a stage we all notice the opposite sex, and it happens at different ages for sure. Some of us go thru puberty at different ages and the results come out differently too. If you stop and think of that, well you may have the reasons for some of the people, who are strange or different who walk the planet, right?
As we know each sex, male and female have their own little secrets they don’t let out or they try to hide as long as possible. Everyone is a little different right, I mean, females don’t tell us men everything and vice versa, we tend to hide certain things we do, or act like we don’t know something when we really do to make the opposite sex feel more important to themselves.
Women tend to do this by asking the man around how to fix the door, the bathroom, the window or whatever breaks. Then they stand about and watch you do it, like they never did it themselves before and congratulate you on getting it done, but they just did it themselves the year before. What makes a man think a woman can’t change a tire, put in a new car battery, or fix a toilet for instance, a woman does!. She stands there all helpless looking, bats her eyes, and wiggles and jiggles until the man says ok I got it. Female secret weapons include, and are not limited to body parts, cleavage, curves, rear ends and smiles and big eyes or colorful ones. They get equipped at a young age and learn how to use their charms to get what they want done. Yet us men have found ways to avoid these womanly ways especially if you have been married a while.
Stop and think men and women, am I right or not, don’t you think we are stereo-typed into believing things we shouldn’t believe? For instance let’s discuss the Presidential Election for one. Remember 2008, Hillary vs. Obama, the fight to be President, what fun. It did prove that women have much more skill than they will ever admit and the Hillary Clinton is one hell of a woman and smart as a whip, didn’t it. She didn’t believe for one moment she couldn’t be President or that the Democrats wouldn’t give her the Nomination. She kept at it again and again, until, the numbers got to she and she had to admit defeat. I will tell you one thing, if Hillary Clinton had become the First Female President of the United States, we would have probably been a lot better off, today. Where ever you go, no matter where in the World, Hillary Rodham Clinton is admired, and loved and thought of as the brilliant woman she is, because she is aggressive when needed, she is laid back as needed, and in the end a producer of results. Not many men can say the same, and many tend to fumble along and think with the wrong heads, if you get my drift! Sad isn’t it, that a person so damn smart, logical and who had such fine solutions and ideas, got pushed aside, in a critical race that could have and would have changed the world and America forever!
Now when I talk differences between men and women, male and female, there is also a communication gap we like to believe in. That’s bullshit and actually a myth and story we humans use to hide behind. Do you really think a woman can’t use a tool or fix her own car? Just walk away once and come back, they will do one of two things, 1) learn to fix it on their own, or pay to have it done by a man. If they are broke they use their bodies to attract a man to get things done for them, things they know damn well they can and would do on their own, if they had to.
On the other hand we men are not stupid as women like to think we are either. We too play mind games and pretend to have hearing problems and more. It’s a matter of fact between men and women we have our different ways of handling life and each other.
We, men do the following and women get so pissed at us, it drives them crazy. We tend to act like we didn’t hear them when we did. We tend to not know something when we do, but choose to keep our mouths shut, because we know if we open it, wham, we will get the job and we really don’t want it. There are many little things; men won’t admit to knowing just as women do, the difference is men use our so called lack of knowledge, or abilities and the stupid act to get out of what we don’t want to do.
I will give you a for-instance; do you women really believe us men can’t cook or do laundry, I mean really. What the hell do you think we did before we met you, pay for it all to be done? Or dishes do you really think men don’t know how to clean a dish, glass, cup or pot or pan? If you do, go to your boyfriend’s apartment or home someday unexpectedly, if you think you will find him living in a mess, well, his momma would kill him if he did silly. Unless of course the guy is totally, and I mean totally lazy and useless, then you wouldn’t want us anyway would you ladies?
So when a husband walks around a store, going yes dear, whatever you want dear, yes you can have it dear, yes I know I can’t buy nothing, we don’t do it to look stupid, we do it so we don’t get nagged, beaten up or hear about it for weeks, or end up sexless or on the couch, and no other reason. Men usually have excuses they use before they get something done, one of our favorites is, when I get round to it! I used to use it a lot and it got me out of so many things I could put off and not bother with, like: Dear Paint The Bathroom, when I get round to it!. Then one day my wife got smart, I went to sit down and play video games and I found a piece of round paper on my seat. I picked it up, it said Round to It, get to work, laughing, it’s true she caught on.
Anyway the point is simple, we men aren’t as stupid as we act and you women aren’t as helpless as you make out to be either! It is indeed a world of little secrets for both sexes isn’t it! Hahahahahaha!

 

 

 

What Do we Control?/Red Sox/ Writing


        Welcome to the real world is what I say, when someone says oh look, tain’t that cute, or look isn’t that terrible! The Truth is we don’t control too many things in the world for us to realize or really control our fate or destiny. There are too many random events and occurrences in nature, life and people to control the world. We can’t control the fates of a baseball game or a football or basketball game or any other sport. We can’t control the fates or destinies of Politicians or teachers, or lawyers or anyone other than ourselves to a point. The fact is, we learn from experience and in order to get experiences we have to make mistakes. Think about it, when your a baby learning to walk and talk, you mispronounced words someone corrects you till you get it right, when you go to walk, until you learn balance you fall and have to keep trying right? Well those are acts of learning and fate and destiny too, like life and death, rich or poor, happy or sad. Fate, destiny, Mother Nature and Father Time actually rule the world not us. We control what money does, or how we do something, we don’t control things belonging to fate or destiny and never will. The reason we don’t control it all is simple, we weren’t born to, we are born for a purpose folks, some of us have purposes, beyond our own knowledge and when we reach them either by fate or destiny we are taken back to where we came from to never return again. Each person has missions to complete, some more intense and complicated than others, but we all do them, for it is what we were brought to life to do.  The real question for all of us and the scientists out there is simple what gives us this spark of life to live as long as we do and where did we really come from in the first place?  Good Question right, recently some have said, as we reach for the stars and planets with life elsewhere in our universe and galaxy, that mankind may have not been created here on earth. We may have come from Mars or another planet out there, transferred to Earth to save our human race from destruction. I don’t know for sure where we came from, but we all know earth provides what we need to survive. 

Here is the big question left for all to answer, How Long will it be before mankind, the human race depletes the resources of the planet Earth and ceases to exist or has to more on to another world and go through another change? We don’t know do we, yet we keep depleting the planet, polluting it and ravaging it till the resources begin to disappear, Species are dying off or being killed off, the air we breathe is polluted more each day and night, the oceans are polluted and we dig and dig all we can out of the planet. How long and how much is left to dig out and ruin and pollute? There has to be a limit, isn’t there? Stop and think folks, if the water goes where do you go? If the air is unbreathable what do you breathe? If you kill all animal and eat them what is left for meat, you and I, do we eat one another then?  All good questions right and no forthright real answers are out there, why because we can’t find them, for somethings are indeed left to destiny and fate!

Whew after that deep thought, it is onto my favorite subject this month, The Red Sox of Boston! Tonight is Game Six of The American League Championship Series. The Detroit Tigers are in Boston for this game and the Seventh game too if it gets there. Home Field Advantage belongs to The Red Sox and you can bet, the Red Sox  fans will be in full spirits and happiness to have them at home. We shall support the Red Sox win, lose or draw of course for if all the fans are like me, we bleed red!  Clay Buchholz  will have his hands full at Fenway Park with the Tigers Batting order, but, is there any better pitcher we can have on the mound for this one? The Red Sox will have to beat the ace of the Tiger’s pitching staff in Game Seven if they don’t win it tonight. So they need tonights game and to move on to the World Series now! Go Red Sox Go, and Know you have millions of fans cheering you on and I am one!

Trying to write a book, a story, a poem or anything worth while takes time, it takes effort and it takes skill and language  skills too. To draw someone in to a story is not easy, to keep their attention and to keep them reading is not easy, but I am attempting this one, because I hope to make it work. I am now over 10,000 words into the story, which covers me, Who or what makes me , me? Is what I call it. I hope when done I can explain all the people who affected my life and made me who I am today by showing how the events and people touched and changed me. It is not the color of your skin, what race, or nationality that make syou you, it is the way you are taught, treated and interact with those around you, that does it. That explains I hope the point of what i am writing, wish me luck folks, I am going to need it, to get it done properly. In the end I will more than likely need an editor and a publisher to get it finished and sold, I am hoping I can do this to make money and to accomplish the feat or act itself. Government Bickering/Red Sox/Story


      I tire of Government bickering between the Parties and now we have a third-party within the Republican Party that grew big enough to effectively shutdown the Government of the biggest economic and military power in the world, it’s crazy! The Republicans say this, the Democrats say that, the Tea Party steps in and everything goes haywire  what the hell is wrong with these politicians? You all tell me, please!  Can the worlds best country, and economic power and military power, whose dollar is the basis for the world monies, get its act straight? I have no idea, but I know one thing, it better get it down by the dates they set forth, or when the 2013 and 2014 elections come about here, guess how many will be out of a job in the House and Senate.  The American people can only take so much!

Next subject, The Boston Red Sox are now one game away from an appearance in the World Series for 2013. In a pitching performance of Jon Lester and the relievers for Boston they stopped Detroit from coming back and won, in a heated contest in Detroit last night. Looking at this as a Baseball Fan and a Red Sox one of course I must admit it has been an interesting series so far and I am sure the ending will be too, coming Saturday in Fenway Park, Boston. Whether they win Saturday or Sunday won’t make much difference to Boston Fans, but Detroit is no push-over period in Boston or Detroit. I say the Red Sox will I am sure be favored as they should be on their home field and in Fenway Park, but do not get the attitude you have won it yet, Detroit will fight. Fenway park and the Home crowd as you tenth man on the field will help you true, but Detroit is one hell of a team in their own right, so Fight Red Sox, Fight and remember you have to want it more to get there!

I have begun a new story, and  I hope it will be good enough to sell online . But writing takes time  so does going over the memories of life to do so. I hope I am honest and straight forward about what makes ,me,me and who helped me to find myself where, we shall see.

            9,106 words into my story now and I am just hitting my stride and about to enter the 12 year Navy Span. It should be interesting to explain that career, the marriage, the kids and the injuries as well as the ups and downs and adventures in the world. I am trying not to mention real names to protect the innocent or not offend anyone either so, names will be changed or only first names used when I finish and edit it all. End of the Republic?/Red Sox Win!/ Story/Poem


        The rise of the American Republic came about due to people who were brave, heroic, smart and in the end tough enough to make a stand. Today I am watching people elected by the American people fail to make a choice, stand tall and support what is law in ObamaCare, and open the US Government back up. Why, because they lost the battle over ObamaCare it is law,and there is no votes to repeal it in progress, and they want to blame President Obama for the Government Shutdown And the coming and looming Debt Ceiling failure, wrong! President Obama didn’t cause this mess or standing on the brink of a cliff, the Republicans did and if we go over the edge and lose the credit rating we do have America will not be the leader in economic matters or power anymore. In the past, other Republics and Countries who were leaders during their times failed and fell from the top for the same damn reasons, no communication, failure to cooperate and compromise and the leaders getting too big headed. Is America next to join the racks of The Aztecs, Peruvians, Romans and more? Will America fall due to stupid pride and arguments? Someone needs to wake up the Republican Elected Officials and Washington and get them to end this crap.

Next Subject– My Boston Red Sox won last night to advance to the American League Championship Series, to face either the Detroit Tigers or Oakland As.  As to Detroit or Oakland I do not know which the Red Sox would match up against better or worse, but I do know The Red Sox did a great turn-around this year by going from worse to first. I also know I got to go to Fenway park this September 14th, 2013 and will always remember the warmth off the Park, the Players and yes the Fans.  So Thank Yous to My Sister April, her man Arman, and The Home of the Boston Red Sox, Fenway and Boston for making it a great experience for me. It took me 52 years of being a fan to get there, and I still couldn’t do it on my own, so my sister and her man took me 11 days, after I had Lung cancer Surgery, and a half of lung removed. But it was worth it all to see the Red Sox live and in Fenway Park. I even got a Dustin Pedroia Red Sox shirt, I will treasure forever.

Final thing today folks! I write when I am well and when I am not I tend to not write, and I will still post some poems or stories till I do again. So please bear with me till I get back to writing and enjoy some of the poetry and stories I already did. Thank you all!

Why Must the Days End?

Why do the days have to end?
Why do the nights have to come?
The Darkness rolls in,
Night reminding me,
Of, my past, my sin.
I didn’t know what you wanted or needed,
You refused to say,
So now I wonder and think,
All night and through the day.

I go thru life, a statement reverberating in my mind,
It’s one I carry with me,
And shall for all time.

My father, laid dying on his bed you see,
And these are the words he said to me:
My son he said my days have come and gone,
I shall leave you before for long.

But live you life to the fullest and enjoy,
Do today what you love the most,
Enjoy life to the fullest, and love those around you the deepest,
For though I be gone and you may cry,
Please remember these words, I give you to keep and hold.
Live your life with honesty and truth,
Be happy, be true, be honest and be bold.

As I leave you now he said:
I shall be gone and you will cry,
But remember this is not really goodbye.

We are all put here for a purpose, yes a plan.
When we fulfill that purpose our time has come,
And our life is done, and I am just a man.

The days will pass, the weeks will come and go,
The weeks, will turn to months, the months to years,
And over time, you will, have cried all of your tears.
But live your life for each day you are here,
For the calendar will continue to roll,
Time will pass before you know,

In the end my son,
We all eventually do what we have been put here for,
And our time is done.

Then he rolled his head, in his bed,
The vomit came, his eyes rolled back in his head,
And peacefully, and in silence he was dead.

I remember that day oh so well,
I remember the fishing trips, the pizzas, the laughter and the tears,
And have carried his words, with me and lived them for all my years.

 

          

 

Shut Down/Republicans/Recovery/Red Sox/Writing


        The Unknown is a place many of us experiment with in our lifetime as we grow up and grow older. Each human does this every day of their life, when we delve into our own sexuality, our own capabilities, our own way of living and human nature in general. But this is not, what Congress is supposed to do, when running the country or setting a budget or debt ceiling! What the hell is wrong with these so called elected officials, in Washington? Here is a little thought you stupid politicians in Washington in The House and Senate, each time you shut down the U.S. Government it costs us millions a day and it cost twice as much to restart it all. 

The Republicans have to learn they can’t blackmail the Presidency or the Senate, yet the Senate and The President have to remember they shouldn’t allow the american people to suffer for their fight either. Health Care,  the Obama care is it folks, it’s law, it will not be repealed it will not go away, and no democrat will allow it to be dismembered or disassembled. Wake the hell up in Washington and stop this childish fight like a couple of children fighting over a cookie in a cookie jar, because in the end the jar falls through and smashes to pieces!

Next subject, after Cancer Surgery on September 3rd, 2013, I have begun to recover slowly, my surgical wounds healing nicely, but my breathing is still a slight problem a month later due to a hacking cough I have. Today, I will go to Oncology to see what they say about further treatment and to be checked. I was told by my primary Doctor and a Pulmonologist I shouldn’t need any chemo or radiation, but like they say the proof is in the pudding, the specialist must look and see. So is not a ride I am happy about going, but it needs to be done to make sure. 

Next, I was just thinking today, about my Boston Red Sox and the Playoffs, they come up for the Divisional Round come Friday. They will play either tampa Bay or Cleveland, and I am hoping they are ready, and up to it all, we don’t need an October Collapse!  So Go Red Sox Go!

Last Subject today, when I write I write for fun, to let things out, to express long lost feelings of hate, love, bliss joy, and more. My poetry and stories are not the world’s best for I am not Hemingway, nor can I quote the Raven of Shakespeare. I am not Dan Brown or my old favorite Author who passed now some years ago Robert Ludlum, but I try to make it readable and I am still a writer in process of learning. Sometimes I drift and sometimes I use the wrong language or words, but at least I try. It seems some enjoy my poetry more than my stories and vice versa too, so when I restart writing again, I shall try to do both and slow down to make things better for all to read.The ultimate joy, for me in writing is to let feelings and thoughts flow, and to let it all out in a responsible yet decent way.
