I have been called to Jury Duty at least for one day. Each time they pull my number and call me to court they end up sending me home. Now I know serving on a jury can be a pain in the ass, and interesting, but why call to Jury a Disabled Veteran who is retired? I don’t even know if i could sit through hours of testimony in a courtroom box. Besides in my book, most who are arrested for major crimes are guilty anyway, but listening to hours of evidence will bore me too. Civic duties sometimes you just have no choice do you? At least they pay for the parking and validate the tickets lol.
While I believe in doing your duty as a citizen of America I do not believe people should be forced to do so.But the Jury selection process is made the way it is for reasons beyond me. All I know is, if they make me serve on this Jury, I hope the defensive team is good, cause I tend to believe most are guilty, not all but most. Times shall tell today.
Hard to believe they would want a Disabled Veteran, with PTSD, 6 herniated Discs, sleep apnea and on depression medication to be a juror. Ah, well I will go and more than likely get booted anyway.
