That said welcome to October 31st already, yes I know today is Friday and Tuesday is November 4th, 2014 folks. Election Day is here for the mid-terms and if we all have a brain in our heads we will do something about the damn jam up in Washington now before it gets worse. Be smart Americans and remember you tried your experiment last time around and split the House and Senate between two parties making progress impossible for anyone. lets change it America, on Tuesday we must think ahead, do we want jobs, unemployment benefits, Medicare and Medicaid and help for seniors and more? Do we want logic or bullshit in office? Are you tired of filibusters, and stagnation in government? Are we going to let the Tea Party and the Republicans stop all action in Washington and forever? Wake up Please and realize, what is wrong now while you can and make it better. 2016 will be next and we will be electing a new President and when we do, do we want to stalemate them before they get in office or do we want to be prepared to improve America? The Choice is yours, yes you the American People decide your own future, Vote Tuesday and Help the country go forward, or shut up and don’t complain when nothing changes! Got it folks, I hope ya do now!
Final for Today folks, in my lifetime I have experience many things, a rough birth at 10 pounds and nine ounces that almost killed my mom, a battered and bruised childhood, rejection by my own family and kids my age and overcame it all, even my bout of Attention Deficit and Hyper-Activity. I overcame them all and survived, I survived 199 seizures in my first 9 months of life folks, can you say the same. I grew up defending my family, my friends and family. I went on to defend my country for 16 years, becoming a Disabled Veteran onboard a ship in the Navy. So yes I have seen many things folks,so when I tell you the following you should listen carefully. America your children can be anything they want in the world, a doctor, a lawyer, a chemist, or a mother, a sports hero, a soilder, sailor or marine anything, and all they need to know is one thing, if you put you mind to it and stick to it and work it, you will reach it! Never forget That!

Dreams, we all had them growing up didn’t we, as we were running around in the back yards, woods and streets of America we all dreamed of being someone or something. Some dreamed of being Medical Professionals, Scientists, cartoonist, writers, and handymen. Others dreamed of being lawyers, and so much more, and how many of us actually reach our dreams, very few really, is what I see. We all get sidetracked into other careers or jobs we don’t like or want and are unhappy in, isn’t it true folks?
I remember growing up, I had talents that disappeared and are now forgotten, because life moved me along so fast, I never had the time to stop and smell the roses or think about what I wanted to be. Why, well, society, family, occurrences, peer pressure and so much more.
Some may have been like me dreaming of being artist, writers, public personality, or even just someone who could help someone else along in life. For me, it didn’t work out for many reasons for sure. I was a child with problems in the 1960s, I was marked and deemed Emotionally Disturbed and Institutionalized for two years. Did I ever overcome it may be your question, yes I did , in many ways, and in someways that experience and those problems still affect every decision I make today.
So as I grew older, I isolated myself from others for many years, until in my HIgh School years I was found by others and pursued by females. Then I struggled with how to handle that one like most young boys and learned to roll with it and make it happen naturally.
Then at 15 years old, my step-father said something to me one day and it stuck. He told me, son you can be whatever you put your mind to in life, just pick it, stick to it and work at it, you will be fine. Dad had some silly saying over his years, but this one rang true in many areas in my heart and mind and stuck with me for life. Always remember in life you can be whatever you want and do whatever you want and become whoever you want, if your determined and hard working enough. It stuck with me believe me folks.
I went on thru High School days trying to find myself and who I wanted to be and eventually I dropped out of High School, went to work in a factory and broke my ass 80 hours a week to make some bucks. Never once did I think twice about it, until the factory I worked in closed it’s doors and put me out on the street in the 1976. I had no job, no way to find one and what ever I found never fit me anyway, so after floundering around some I joined The Army, then The Army national Guard and Then ultimately The US.Navy. The Military taught me discipline, hard work, pride and doing what is right in life counts. I did my 16 years and then had an accident aboard ship that would get me medically discharged with six herniated discs in my spine. I fought back in many ways with The Governments help at Schooling and much more. Today I write stories, poems, books, and try to help others with this blog I write as often as I can.
I was never emotionally disturbed, I was a child with Attention Deficit Disorder and Hyper-Activity in my youth, yet in the 1960s no one knew what they were yet or how to treat it so I suffered. My time in that Institution, The Children Center which still exists today in Hamden, Connecticut today on Whalley Avenue, changed me. I saw deaths, I saw drugs, destruction behind those fences, I saw attempted suicides and so much more, drug use and more. Children destroying themselves, because they could not deal with the outside world. It scared me, and I fought for two years to get the hell out of that place and did. But, today as a full grown adult man I still think back to it all and wonder why it had to happen. The fates they say rule our world folks, in my case it wasn’t fate, it was alack of caring by parents who wanted me gone is all. I overcame and sit here a accomplished writter, read by many, not making a lot but trying. I did 16 years military and became a disable american veteran and served my country, I overcame by determination and guts folks anyone can.

Welcome to October 28th, 2014, three days till Halloween and one week from the Mid-Term American Elections. While Halloween will bring Trick Trick or Treaters and Parties for many, and sick stomachs and toothaches for children, the election brings more important issues to mind for many of us who will vote.
Connecticut has to make a choice between Malloy and Foley for Governor, and that should be a simple decision even if you don’t like Malloy, Foley is so outlandish and so money grabbing he makes Malloy look good and Malloy is no real bargain either. But, with these two to choose between I will take the lesser of the two evils in Malloy in my book and stay the course.
The mid-term election will count big time this year folks, believe it or not. In two year in 2016 a new President will step into office and will need all the support they can get, and a House and Senate that does nothing will not help them. Use your heads folks, change the Senate and House to match the President you want to see elected so we can move America forward. This deadlocking Congress in General sucks, people worry now, can Social Security be saved, can medicare and medicaid, can jobs be created, will our economy continue to go to hell and people stand on street corners begging for food and a place to live, be persistent in America or will we change it? Are we the American People going to let continue this mess we live in? You drive down the streets in your hometown or city and tel me folks. Don’t you see the homeless begging for a place to live and food to eat and for jobs that are not here? Or do you were blinders like a racing horse and choose to ignore it all?
Manufacturing must be brought back, we need factories to employ our people, innovation for inventions, education for managers and employees and we need to extend unemployment benefits too and food stamps and more. If we can’t provide and create jobs folks, we need to take care of americans here at home before we take care of the world, period.
We rush in to save the world from killing themselves in wars and diseases, and give no thought at all, to the fact we need to save ourselves first before we do it for others! I know we are the most powerful nation on earth and the world leader in many areas and we are looked up to, but, we are now in trouble ourselves and not paying attention to our own troubles, it’s time to wake up!
We can start the rebuilding of America with some simple steps folks in my opinion. 1) Education, 2) Economic Growth by creating jobs and tax breaks 3) Backing out of Military situations overseas and bring some troops and money and supplies home. 4) Changing Congress, both the house and senate and making it work for us once more for improvements 5) Pushing for creativity, innovation and rebuilding the manufacturing base we were built on at one time and should still be, give companies tax breaks and help to open now plants and factories. Stop playing games and be greedy. Unemployment has to be extended and refinanced to help all out of work, not cut off. 6) Stop the building of brick and mortar stores and malls and realize we don’t need more stores we need more damn jobs. Wake up folks!
You want to help America and Americans folks. educate them, train them for employment, give tax breaks and create innovations, and help one another, not destroy each other any further. Do you all understand, it matters not if you black, white, hispanic, oriental or any other race color or creed, you’re american, first and foremost, and we all need each other to survive and exist in this world today. So wake the hell up please and stop destroying what we stand for and lets get together and move America forward once more in the world and economy.
A few thoughts come to mind today, some I won’t discuss because they are no ones business so to say, but lets talk what I call cross roads in life. we all have them and don’t realize them all the time, some of us think ah hell it’s just a different way to go and we don’t consider it a cross roads. You want to know what cross roads really are in ones life examine some of the following moments in life for all humans.
Birth is number one that moment you come into the world is a cross roads, between existence and nonexistence right ! One second we are a gleam in daddy or moms mind and the next we are a giggling, crying, hungry baby, waiting on parents to take care of and protect us till we are old enough to do so ourselves. One hell of a cross road ya ask me.
Second, cross road believe it or not is accepting those around you as family. If you don’t you rebell and b life becomes hell for all involved because of you. So Acceptance has to happen first with parents then siblings, so that is one hell of a big one.
Third cross road and I know not many understand or have heard this one before is self acceptance, if you don’t accept yourself and understand that you can do anything anyone else can, then guess what, you become introverted and scared of life, stand up to it all as my step-daddy would have said. Be who you are as a person and you will be fine. Usually happens between the ages of 3 to 5 years old in people. And if your family still doesn’t accept you then ya have family problems all your life.
Fourth cross road, comes near graduation from Elementary School. Are you accepted by the others in your class in school, and does it bother you if you aren’t, cause if not you just hit a big one and things can go sour in your life.
Fifth cross road- Freshman Year High School, bigger classes, more people, and more of trying to fit in and learn all at once. If your rejected as a nerd, or a bully makes no difference your rejected, rebellion or more can occur here. For it is during the ages of 12 to 15, sex becomes a matter and no matter if straight or gay, if your not accepted your in trouble.
Sixth Cross roads, sexual maturity and losing virginity. Peer pressure in High school leads to this and some do have sex just to prove and say they did and not for the right reasons. If you don’t you’re a virgin and outcast, if you do and it’s with the wrong one your reputation in school is ruined for the rest of your time there. So again it can lead to rejection or acceptance and a course change for you.
Each of these cross roads affects how you are seen by the world, your peers, your friends and your so called enemies out in the world. If more come up on the negative side, you end up either shy, introverted or an aggressive asshole who tries to beat the world up period. And in the end, it is not always up to you, but it goes back to the parenting you had growing up. The end result, depends on the beginnings folks, if you grow up and get married it would be wise to watch your children for these cross roads and make sure they transist them carefully and well. The more you do as a parent to help the better for your child in their lives ahead of them!

Wails of An Attention Deficit Hyper-Active Child
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CO92VOS
The story of Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity in one family, and Sexual Abuse too.
Generational Differences, seem to be everywhere in America these days. Many of them come between the children of the 1950s, 1960s eras and the 1980s and forward eras of today. Discipline is one of the primary differences of todays children versus the prior ones. A lack of discipline makes for children who are spoiled, obnoxious, rude, impolite and disrespectful, not to mention vindictive and angry at the world. So we end up today with kids who want everything they see, and can’t take no for an answer and on top of it all want revenge against their own parents, because they didn’t get what they wanted! Sad isn’t it folks, I mean lets face it, when I was a kid in the 1960’s I got erector sets, a microscope, comic books and books, and maybe a sled or bike. There were no computers, gaming systems, Ipads, or any other damn electronic device, like there are today. We read a book, or played outside each day after school and in the summer, we explored nature and the woods, played ball or hide and seek and such. Today a child sits in front of a computer monitor or a television screen and plays games, on a computer, X-box, PlayStation or Nintendo, why? Ask the kids they will call it modernization and the way it is, ask me I call it the dumbing down of American Kids and the bad habits of current parents to allow their kids to be babysat by the tv or video gaming system. Why don’t we change it, maybe it is because we spoiled them so much today, we have no idea how to break the syndome of doing it over and over again. Sad huh? I think it’s time parents limit the Television viewing hours to the evenings for kids and make it one or two shows if any at night, Don’t buy them cell phones with internet connections and all kinds of service, just get them a simple one. Limit Gaming time to one day a weekend and limit the hours too.
Lets Make them read a book and learn, do art and hobbies and build knowledge at home. Lets make them go out in the yard and play with other kids of all colors , races and types so they can handle it when older. Lets teach them trades and science and make a better world instead of falling into the trap of laziness and worse!
That said and done, I give you a link to my list of lil books which range in subject from poems, to murder mysteries, to adventures and romance to check out, all are cheap and small stories. Some are based on real life and are interesting to many, some are funny and some are in between. I hope you will all take a look for yourself and try a few and help an old Disabled Veteran out! Thanks for reading my blog folks, till next time!
