NFL Time is here! @014 to 2015 Season starts! Cancer and The Red Sox


     Welcome to the Opening Sunday of the 2014 NFL Season folks! Yes I know Seattle Beat Green Bay on Thursday Night for the Official Opening Game and date, but this is what fans have waited for since last February.  30 teams hit the field on one Sunday to start a season to determine who will win the LOmbardi Trophy and claim the title. Football fans are setting up TailGate Parties, getting ready to fill stadiums and watch full grown men beat each other to death to get a ball across a line to score points. It’s almost like the Roman Gladiators of the old days, except in a more civil form lol. And we all love it, both sexes, and all colors, creed, nationalities, it’s an American game loved by Americans and The World, So let the games begin and may the best team win it all.

        As to who will win the Trophy the normal suspects come to mind, Green Bay, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, New England, all top teams for many years. Then you have the middle bunch which can upset anyone and make it if they get a few lucky breaks, New York has Two such teams, Minnesota, Dallas, Cincinnati, Chicago, New Orleans, Philly and more.  Every year the league has certain teams that get beat up, left and right Buffalo, Texas, Miami, Detroit, Arizona and more. Some may surprise folks this year and get into the playoffs that did not before or haven’t for a long while.  But the seasons run will show us all that, won’t it. We shall see, if Okland can play, or San diego, or who is healthy where and how long they last. But all NFL Players must remember, no matter what position you play, you can get injured and be out for a season or longer of get a concussion, be careful out there.

         They change some rules each season, try to control the Refs better and the players and the coaches too. But the fact of the NFL is simply folks, people want to se two teams go head to head and watch because it is exciting is all. So do us all a favor, enjoy! 

           That said and done we are now coming to the Baseball Playoff Season soon also. For me it was disappointing season as the Red sox fell apart and had a bad season. I will miss the people they traded for sure and so will the organization. Can Boston be rebuilt as a team, can it be a contender again we shall see, I was glad I lived long enough to see my Red Sox win World series titles again, in my lifetime. I have been a Red Sox fan since 1960, when my step-father and I watched them all the time I was four years old. We would sit there and watch them on tv and watch them lose each season, chocking and falling apart and bitch at the tv screen. Dad died in 1990 and never saw the Red Sox win a World Series in his lifetime, but I lived to see them all now. And I will never forget my only time in Fenway Park in 2013, for it was associated with my Cancer Fight.  I was diagnosed with cancer on August 4th 2013, lung cancer to be precise. I was rushed into surgery on september 4th, one month later and lost one and one third lobes of my right lung. No Chemo or radiation was needed, and I was one lucky man. By september 16th, 2013 I was outside Fenway Park, to see it live and see my Red sox beat the Yankees 5 to 1. My sister and her boyfriend had promised if I survived my surgery and was fine they would take me to fenway, I never  got healthier faster in all my life. I sat 5 rows behind the Red Sox Dugout staring at the Green Monster, I saw the height of the grass and saw my favorite players Ellsbury, Pedroia, Big Pappi and Jon Lester up front. I screamed when they scored, I jumped up when they almost hit homers and I smiled the whole day thru. I started the day at Fenway Park getting fish and chip at Jerry Remy’s and ended it with a good meal at a Blues Club there. I will never ever forget my one day at Fenway Park, because my sister who I love very much did it for me. I love ya Sis. 

 

 

Childhood Dreams! / Joan Rivers


Childhood dreams do come back to haunt you when you grow up, especially if you never attain those dreams! Some of us dreamed of being President, or superheroes, or teachers, artists or writers. we dreamed of making the world better, to solving issues and making the world get along better. The truth is folks we are all put on this earth to complete missions we do not ever understand, but once those missions are completed we return to from which we came. It is not something mankind understands nor shall we ever understand, because we programmed as we are, a creator we do not fully understand. so when you stop one day, and are wondering what the hell you’re doing, stop and think about this, if you can up with something else to do, you going to stick around longer.

That said, Joan Rivers recent death is a loss for the entertainment community, her fans and the world! She has returned and passed comfortably as her family and friends said. Her wit, charm and  quickness as well as smartness made her Joan Rivers. Don Rickles said it himself she was quick -witted biting comic who worked with him and they were friends and road buddies because she was like him. No subject was off-limits for Joan and she told us why, when she said if I can laugh about it, no matter how horrible it really is, it makes it easier to take and handle! It was her way of fending off bad news, her way of handling an imperfect world, ans making it worth being in.

 Robin Williams did the same thing folks as Joan, both made the world easier by making fun of themselves, the world, the situations and more that happen daily. So, many people die early and never finish the mission they were really put here to complete, but in the end someone else takes up the mantle and the world moves on. Joan Rivers will be missed as is Robin Williams, and the time the laughter dies, could really be the time the world does, but not yet, we have other famous comedians out there and more laughs yet to hear and see. So when you remember Joan Rivers, remember her wise cracking humor, remember her smile, remember her style, remember he entertaining ways. Remember the Joan Rivers we all loved and some loved to hate, the woman with the smile. rest in Peace Joan Rivers you did the best you could to make people happy and to make us laugh.

         

Hoodlums, Gangsters/ Waterbury, Connecticut


     Hoodlums, gangsters, punks, all the same in my book, they try to intimidate and scare you and when they still don’t get their way they stalk and attack for no reason. They abound in the world because too many don’t either use the justice system to defeat them, or they give in and let them get away with their bullshit. Now I will say this, if they have a weapon like a gun or knife and are threatening you, give in to them and fight back later, ok! Believe it or not the American Justice System will help you with these types of people.

  One of the saddest things I have noticed in my lifetime is the downfall and degradation of Waterbury, Connecticut, a once proud city of blue-collar workers who manned the factories that won wars. The factories  are gone now and the streets are falling apart, the people don’t care and neither does the government that runs it. No jobs means no money folks, no factories because you taxed them out of the city, hurts.  I watched as the Naugatuck Valley slowly, starting in the 1970s, with the shut down of Uniroyal Inc. in Naugatuck began its downfall.  They are all gone now, Timex, Chase Brass and Copper, Scovills, and so many others who were in Waterbury forever and the people walk the streets who manned these factories. Sad isn’t it? 

         I drove through Waterbury’s Downtown area the other day, drunks and drug addicts on the green and on East Main and west main Streets. The Homeless begging for food and work on the streets surrounding the mall and the stores on Wolcott Street.  The lack of street maintenance and repair and they lackluster performance of the city employees and cops is crazy. You can say Waterbury, Connecticut is a place I hope the country will never copy, or use as a guide for the rest of the country.  It is now a sad place, that looks like a failing part of an old movie. Blacks and Hispanics and Whites all fighting one another over territory and neighborhoods, hoodlums running the streets terrorizing elderly couples, it is a sad world to live in and I grew up in Waterbury’s north end back in the 1960’s.

         In the 1960s, it didn’t matter what color, race, creed or nationality you were, everyone worked to survive, pay their bills and taxes and keep a roof over their families heads. Blacks and Whites and Hispanics  and Orientals all got along, we all made peace with one another and worked side by side and lived side by side.  Gangs and Hoodlum though haven’t stopped coming up and seems they will never disappear from Waterbury’s lifestyle. The answer for these hoodlum and gangster types is terrorize, pressure and attack anyone they want to get what they want, it can’t continue Waterbury, someone needs to step up soon and stop it, or the next step is people with guns defending themselves and dead bodies piling up. I hope that makes sense, because that is the depth and reach of the tactics of these people and people get fed up and will start to fight back. Sadly then, Waterbury will crumble more, and destroy itself.

2014, and it has been since 1969 when I left Waterbury to live elsewhere, yet going back it changed so much for the bad I would never live in it again. Crime rates have jumped, hoodlums and punks and thieves are all over the city period.Sadly, no one can stop it, or they are a part of it and have no want to, or they are scared of it all and it continues. At some point someone will have to step up, or step in and clean Waterbury up and bring back it’s jobs and manufacturing base.  Hopefully it will be sooner than later, time shall tell!

 

Aging and my take on it!


     Aging is a fundamental fact for all of us who live long enough to do so, so to say. As you age you notice certain things and it happens no matter of race, color, creed or nationality. We all wrinkle, we all lose teeth, hair and want more peace and quiet, instead of interaction. We end up relaxing more, and being less social then most want us to be. The reason is easy folks as we age, our health goes, our beauty fades, our teeth fall out or become crowns and caps, we end up going from steaks to soup so to say, ever notice it?

    Aging is just a matter of fact for all living things, and no one has ever found the fountain of youth, have they/ Nope so, we all go thru life for only a certain amount of time according to living conditions, food and how we take care of ourselves. Now the real question for all of us is not when we will die, or how, but what we will leave behind when we leave. Do we want to leave a line to continue our family genes and names, or do we want to leave a legacy of something we wrote, built, invented, whatever it is we tend to try to always leave something behind to keep mankind going on the planet. So, as you age remember something along the way, keep the people you love close at all times, don’t burn bridges behind you, find a job or employment you love doing and stick to it, it pays off in the end. remember to tell family, wife, husband, son, daughter, parents you love them and make sure they know it.

One of the best things about being alive and aging is guiding those younger behind you, helping them to understand the world they live in so they can live healthy and in peace too. A child must learn to crawl before it walks, and a child has to know what to do and not do to risk there lives. We teach,we help, we assist and then we still watch our children and pray they have a full and long and healthy life. Outside influences do occur and some die, or end up sick or injured and yet we still care for them and keep them with us as long as possible, so it is all a part of life no one can deny.

Aging can not be denied, like real illness or real love, it just happens to you, and what most of do is fight illness, accept love, and move on as we age. When you stop and think about it, isn’t that enough to be grateful and say thanks for, we live!!!!!!!!!!!

September 2014 begins/ Battles/ Help?


     Welcome to September 2, 2014, the battles still rage across the world and we still want to police and defend other countries  and do what we can for everyone else but our own here in The United States.

      Americans wander the streets homeless, hungry and sick, and no one gives them a dime or helps them get warm when it gets cold and congress does nothing for our own, yet, they demand attention and military assistance for Afghanistan, Libya, Iran, Iraq, and Somalia, and many other damn countries, who don’t give two cents about us. We rushed in and rebuilt places like Japan for instance after we bombed them to hell in World War 2, and nowadays they under cut our car markets and computer markets.Yet not once when we have a hurricane, or tornados, or weather disaster has any other nation come to help us, when we were attacked on 9-11, not one country sent money or help to us, why? If you stop and think about what I am saying America, you will see, we are an island on out own here, with friends to the north in Canada and Mexico to our south filled with criminals and drug lords and gangsters these days. Our southern border they walk thru, ride thru or do whatever they can to get here the mexicans and then hide illegally here in America. No one is stopping them as we should.

         Final Cut for today: I am heading shortly back to the Veterans Hospital, here in Connecticut, in West haven to be exact. I have to have a cat scan to check my lungs for any more cancer and my body too. My breathing is harder these days and i huff and puff some now, after my lung cancer surgery. I don’t move as fast as I use dto, nor do I go as far as I used to anymore. Sadly, lung capacity is lower and I do struggle in high heat and humidity. Yet I go on and won’t surrender so god bless life, and living. God Bless America, The Land that I love, I gave 16 years to protect it and the people I love and loved and would never change a thing I did. Later folks!

 

Happy Labor Day/ Inflation/Races and Battles


Happy Labor Day to All Americans and Canadians!!!! May thos eof us who work and struggle to survive have a day of fun and rest today!

Labor Day should be a bigger celebration actually, because labor is what makes the world go around the people who work, strive and get things done, makes the world go around and the economy too. Sadly, it is getting to be less and less because the world’s economy is dying down and in Canada and America we have a problems creating jobs for people why?

Back in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, we had thriving economies in both countries and in the world, why because we had inventive people, we had manufacturing everywhere and people had decent prices on food and clothing and gas so you could live back then. Amazing isn’t it folks how inflation comes along and raises prices but never lowers them.  Yet you paycheck never grows in accordance to the inflation rate does it?

I can remember when I paid a nickel for a comic book as a kid, today they cost 3.99 plus tax for one. I remember bread at .35 cents a loaf, and milk for .89 cents a half gallon, what has happened to us and the prices of everything. It is crazy is it not?

Here is something to consider folks, race vs. race battles why? I do understand the plight and burden of the African American race as well as the Hispanics, Asians and yes even us  Caucasians, in our ability to get along in life with one another. But I give you my solution folks to it all, color, race, nationality or religious beliefs, have nothing to do with getting along with each other, here is the bottom line we are humans , we all live and want to survive and raise our children and live decently, we all want education, medical coverage, insurance, a place to live and let live and in the end we all bleed and get hurt, our bones all break is beaten upon, our blood runs together on the streets and battlefields of the world, in the end we are all human being and just want respect and understanding. Compromise, learn each others cultures and lets get along!

Morning and Political Thoughts 2014 to 2016


    Good Morning World and America!

      Today is August 29th, 2014 and the end of another month is approaching for all. as Wars rage around the world the Russians move in on a take over of Ukraine it seems and no one is able to stop it. Sanctions can only hurt so much to Russia’s economy and Putin knows that, so he is determined in my mind to rebuild the USSR in anyway he can by annexing, or invading if necessary. He believes it should have never been disassembled at all and the Russian people need it back. Putin is not as hard to understand as people in politics think, he is playing it simple, one step at a time, annex the Crema and then Invade Ukraine and the other countries that broke from the USSR should be very aware he is coming for them too. He believe the USSR should have never been dismantled and wants it back so he can be a hero in all Russians eyes and for a power position is all. what he doesn’t understand is the world is watching his power grab and land grab and moving in a direction break him economically and more.  Putin back out of the Ukraine now, or you will face not just resistance from the United states and European Allies, but from many more world countries and destroy what is left of Russia by going too far. Why would the world stand by and allow Ukraine to fall to Russia and not react against Russia, believe me they will !

         Next Subject: As 2014 draws slowly to it’s end by entering it’s last quarter, thoughts abound on what will be coming next in America, as far as Politics go. The 2014 mid-term elections are coming folks, and I remind all, it is the Republicans and Tea Party members who shut down our government once already and will do so again if given the chance costing middle america more tax money they will have to pay in the end. I want to remind all, it is The Republican Party and Tea party who fought Obama Care instead of fixing it correctly. So when you vote this fall for Seats in The House and Senate midterms here, stop and think before you do, do you want a deadlocked Congress and Senate doing nothing to pass laws or bills or amendments, and collecting pay, or do you want a working Congress, if it is the latter, then vote out the Republicans and Tea party members who don’t work! If we the people are paying them, shouldn’t they do their damn jobs?

        Final Subject for Today: After November 2014 passes and Congress changes due to the people’s votes,we must all look ahead to the 2016 Presidential race coming up! I am sure to make matters as messy as possible, there will be many candidates running in all three parties to muddy the waters and sling attacks at each other. It will at first look like a line up from a Looney Tune Review of Cartoons in my opinion, and will slowly but surely be whittled down to a few by 2015’s spring. I want you all to think of this when you vote, which party is for the people, by the people and does the most for the people period. which party will create jobs, build the economy, handle war decisions best, improve Obama care for all and take care of you and I, no matter what color, race or origin? Which party will build factories, jobs and lower taxes, which candidate will have the best experience to lay back on and the resources and knowledge, to maintain and move ahead America in all areas. My Opinion is by now well known for I have said this before; get Hillary Rodham Clinton to run and get her elected as President. She has her own views, a independent mind and thinker she is, plus knowledge of world affairs, domestic affairs and a husband who has been there himself if she needs a new opinion. It’s called the best deal in the world, when you can have one President who has another as the First GentleMan of the country. The correct choice for America in 2016 is Hillary Rodham Clinton as President, she is knowledge, she is experience, she is guts and strong will and smart enough to ask for help when needed. VOte Hillary Rodham Clinton for President in 2016 and watch the country move forward to strength, health, good will and good standing in the world and watch the economy grow as she pushes for factories, jobs, and education. Vote Hillary Rodham Clinton in 2016 and lets make America’s first Female President be a good one!

 

 

2014 to 2015 and on to 2016 Elections


     2014 is slowly but surely moving along at a steady pace and we are about to enter the last quarter of it. September of 2014 will mark children back in schools, weather changes, and much, much more I am sure. Soon enough before we know it, 2015 will come about and another year will have gone by. Then in America we will be in a War on Isis and bombing in Syria at the same time we police and help protect Afghanistan, help in Iraq and Iran and fight ebola across the world. The resources of America are being spread too thin to encompass so much, isn’t it time to stop and take care of our own at home? I believe it is time to stop taking care of other nations and take care of our own at home here!

      America’s Economy is failing because the manufacturing base that we had since our early days is out of business basically. We need more manufacturing, more inventions, to keep our car companies we have and to reeducate the blue collar workers that need to go into white collar businesses and jobs. I know I sound like a broken record at times, but the truth is the truth America, we can’t keep spreading ourselves so thin and doing nothing fr our own here at home. We have Unemployed, Homeless, and Hungry here in the United States, yes we hide it well and Congress chooses to ignore it all, until it happens to one of them, but it is time for changes and we need Congress to get off it’s ass and do something.

       The biggest issues of the next American election will be Congress, both houses. The Senate and House need changed, we need a Congress and senate on the same page, to help americans. We can’t have filibustering, we can’t have attacks against Obama care still happening, we can’t afford infighting between parties so openly it is destroying the foundation of what Congress is for. we need people willing to compromise for the good of the people, the country and those of us who are hurting, wake up Washington and go back to the basics of America please, We the People, For The People and dedicated to the people ok.

         We need a President elected in 2016 with guts, a fighting spirit, knowledge and abilities, to control work with and compromise , one who can think on their feet and make important decision that favor the American People. We do need Hillary Rodham Clinton, for her experience, knowledge, education, and more will be vital till 2020. LOok you can say what you want, if you disagree with me, but in the end folks, Hillary Rodham Clinton, has a mind and a spirit that is all American and she would not take shit from anyone and i believe she will help the American poor and ill and homeless out of poverty by changing our Economic path in the world. Hillary is many things folks and hated by some Republican and Tea Partiers, in the end though who is better than her for the position of President of The United States?. One added factor here, we get Hillary, we get Bill as First man of the Country and his added experience to support his wife and advise her as she goes, not a bad deal you ask me!.

        

        

     

Blogs on Life/ Legal Issue Time/ Wars to FIght!


      Good Morning all! I have taken time to compile my blogs in a little book coming up for sale on Amazon e-books as soon as it is published by them. I figured some would like to see some of the topics an old Veteran like me, would talk about. So my wife took some and made a little book out or them on Create Space, I hope they will be enjoyed by all who read them. They are being called Blogs on Life folks, and I hope it sells some, but who the hell knows in todays world.

       As time continues on we all face health issues and more as we age, but legal issues few of us have to face in out later ages so to say. I tire of having to deal with ex-tenants who believe they can do what they want, no matter what. My wife is older than I and I am getting up in age and as a disabled veteran who has had cancer and my wife has too, we as a couple tire of having to deal with people who act their shoe size instead of their age. A thirty year old ex-roomer wants to terrorize us and make hang up calls to our home and then call back and talk to my elderly wife and bug her on the phone, after a judge lifted the restraining order we had on him and placed him under a court order to leave us along and our property too. So Tomorrow it is back to the Court House to see the Judge who put the court Order on him, so he can explain these phone calls to her. Some people never grow up and they want to be the tough guy, or gangster they dream of, and think they can get away with anything. That is what the courts and laws are for, I don’t care if he thinks he is an Albanian Gangster, Hoodlum or what he is, he will not terrorize us, period. Grow up!

       Final Subject for today; As America keeps wanting to police the world, we are about to enter a new battle with a new enemy we don’t need to fight, yet. Why do we continue to police other countries, yet, not take care of our own here at home? You want to fight a war?. Then take on the war against poverty, economic depression and lack of jobs here in America. You want a war, fight this one, and maybe we can create jobs instead of infighting in Congress, lets work together to increase health, and kill poverty in America. I tire of all the words on how there are no jobs, no manufacturing, and people on our streets who can’t eat or find a place to eat, lets help them before we help another country, wake the hell up congress and people. Time has come don’t you think, that we kill the homeless and starving problem in the greatest country in the world?
