Welcome to Sunday folks, I hope all have a great Sunday, Funday as my baby sister would say!

My recovery from my Lung Cancer Surgery is going ok, with one exception, a cough has developed that needs to clear up and my rib cage where they cut into me to get the Middle lobe is constantly sore as all hell and interferes with my sleeping and breathing at times. The Surgical Wounds are healed and scabbed over and fine, except for the lumps below the scars, that seem to stay longer and bother me all day and night. If the cough doesn’t let up soon and the ribs continue to ache like they are bruised I may go back to the Hospital and have them check me out and give me help to improve these problems. But I don’t cry and run every time something hurts, so I shall see if it heals on it’s own.

My Stories as many know by now, are located on Amazon’s Kindle E-books on Amazon online. They range in stories from mysteries, to comedy, to family problems to poems. I hope some will read them and know I write them not for me, but for other sto understand life and the way mine went so far. I am working on a new story now it is currently just over 10,000 words and I call it currently What Makes Us?. It tells the story of my life and the people in it who created me and made me who I am today. Should be interesting indeed, if i can ever finish it. Across the world today, the economy is in a mess, people are hungry, homeless and out of work, struggling to survive and keep their homes, children and themselves alive. Does anyone notice or care these days? Violence rises as the poverty levels grow in the world and across the United States too. Isn’t there a common sense approach to correct the economy of the world without destroying humanity or America or the World’s economy? If so what is it folks, I know for sure it will not be coming from a political solution, it has to come from the common man and woman in the world, as we stand up and say enough is enough. I tire of political in-fighting in Washington, and across the World. Arab nations want to take Israel down and destroy a people from hate only. Terrorist run across the world killing women , children and more for religious reasons, why? Women are tortured for driving, speaking their minds and getting educated, why? One word comes to mind folks, fear! These people fear what the people they are killing or trying to kill can say or do to change the world to a better place. Sad isn’t it when, the only answer is not open communication and compromise, but violence and death! Stop it folks, wake up we must stop world violence, hunger and homelessness!

Generational Differences and Why America Fails

Changes it seems happen everyday and they call the changes advancements for mankind”s sake. Some I agree with entirely, like medical advances in machinery or medications or even physical therapies too. But the changes I disagree with are the ones our society and us as human beings, bring upon our own social life and family lives. I know it may sound silly, but the truth is the truth and as my parents would say, don’t bullshit me, or the world just tell us the truth and let us carry on.

Generations come and go like style sin the wind, but families in America change the way they raise their kids always. In my life time I have seen Americans family lives and styles change so much it is crazy.

As a child I was lucky to get Christmas Presents of clothes and regular toys or games. They usually consisted of clothing, board games, maybe a bike or sled or an erector set or microscope. A book was always a good thing too for quiet rainy or snowy days. But those things are not the same with today’s children for sure. They need to have electronic things, get me an X-box, or a PS3 or a Wii, or get me my personal PC. They want big screen TVs, HDTV, High end cable access for HD and Internet and more. A Little spoiled tain’t we kiddies. Then they want to bill mommy and daddy after they leave their home and family and start their own for dental and medical bills, like we are all Donald Trump or something!. What’s with these kids today?

When I was a kid, no parent would put up with lying, stealing, cheating or disrespect either.A child knew they would be smacked upside the head or given a spanking for doing something wrong and that fear, made them fly right, not wrong.A parent didn’t care about will my child divorce me and leave my house, the kid didn’t have that right. What is with the world today?

Generations come and they go, the older generation that had recently mostly died off in America was the one raised in the 1930’s, and 40s. They were brought up with less and suffered somewhat economically and fought for everything they had. Then came the children of the 50’s and 60’s that raised their children with more permissiveness then ever before and they grew up to be spoiled this new Generation. Then we get to the 70’s and 80’s Generation, the most disrespectful and crazy generation yet in American history. They disrespect their elders, they talk back to their parents and argue and fight with them and they want everything instantly, right now. Bullshit kiddies, not goanna happen.

As I grow older myself, I see kids in stores crying and arguing for toys and electronics we never thought of having. You ask a kid today if they read a book, they will look at you like you are crazy, and tell you they play video games watch TV and that’s it. Electronic Games, Video and otherwise are ruining out children really. They make them couch potatoes, and idiots in logical areas. Most kids today you ask them to shovel a walkway or to use a hammer or screwdriver they have no idea how to. Why, because we let them do as they please and a growing child is like running water it searches for a weak spot it can go thru and goes there to face the least resistance and the easiest way to flow and grow. Generations and times have changed indeed and so has America and the worlds children too.

Why are other countries like China, Brazil, France, Spain and Canada, out doing America on the open market and economically now? Just look at the permissiveness of the parents of these children who were born in the 80’s and 90s and onward till now and you will see, sometimes we all need to remember the old cliché, Spare the rod, spoil the child!. Sometimes a good spanking or smack keeps a kid working and productive instead of lazy and half brain dead.

World Series/Electronics/Obama Care/Economy/Stories

Last night in Fenway Park the St. Louis Cardinals, evened the World Series with the Boston Red Sox at 1 game a piece. It was a good contest and they deserved the win, due to Boston’s Fielding errors and indecisions. But this World Series is far from over and like the Detroit Tigers found out there is no quit in the Red Sox, they can take one in St. Louis and still win the Series. I believe fully it will go at least six, maybe even seven games this year, the two teams are evenly matched pitching wise and the hitters on both clubs are equal in many ways with the line-ups they have, should be a good long Series this time around. Lets Go Red Sox I say, but, time shall tell who wins!.

Electronics are becoming more and more complicated each day it seems, Apple comes out with mini I-Pads and other companies with more tablets. Companies are producing smaller computers and all in ones and more, even wristwatches are getting in on the act these days. The real question is, will mankind get lazy from just pushing buttons on devices and hitting the world through the internet and never moving in reality? Is the future of mankind, going to be, strapped to an electronic device that will produce and do whatever they want so we never have to move again? If so I can tell you this much, humanity will die off if that is the case, no doubt about it! Television are getting, bigger clearer, watches connect to the internet, everyone is GPSing, and more, people are plugged into Gaming Consoles daily and lost in a world of make believe, so what will be come of mankind once the world is all internet and electronic? You tell me folks, the facts are the electronic world is slowly overcoming man’s physical and mental abilities and making some already into tech junkies and tech zombies! Sometime advances are terrific for mankind and other times they can kill us all off! Be careful folks in what you do and what you want, ok!

Next subject, Obama Care is constantly in the news, the site don’t work, the Republicans and Tea Party wants to defund and shut it down, the fight continues folks. But I ask you one thing, if ObamaCare is so bad for so many as the Republicans and the Tea Party say, then, why not let it start up and fix the Web Site and see for ourselves if it is good or bad? I know The republicans don’t want any form of laws or bills associated with a Democrats name or label passing thru and working, because it makes them look too stupid to do it themselves. Plus, if they are so sure how horrible it is why don’t they just shut up, fix the Web Site and let it fail, by 2016 then, it will make them look like geniuses and the Democrats look like idiots and they can win the White House, right? Guess what, wrong they rail and rant about it, but in the end they also know they can’t come up with a better health care system or plan themselves, so they want to tear it down to make themselves look good is all! Sad isn’t it? I remind the American People of one thing you should consider before trying to remove OBama Care, if Britain and Canada can have National Health care coverage for all their citizens and make it work why can’t America?

As October comes slowly to a close, and the Holiday Season approach starting with Halloween and then Thanksgiving, I remind everyone to be safe, spend within your budget, and save as much as you can. We have no idea what foolish shit Congress, the Tea Party and republicans and yes, even the democrats may do next! Money will be vital and tight and so will America’s economy until Congress and Washington decide to get their shit in one sock so to say and pass a longer lasting budget and debt ceiling answer.

Cancer Fight

Cancer, a word no patient or family wants to hear when it comes to them or their families! I know I have heard it too many times myself.

Cancer has followed me it seems like a bad dream or nightmare most of my life starting with a girl I met in High School till now my 57th year of life and even a bit before that girl. The year I first heard the word cancer was 1971, when my Grandfather died of it in a Nursing Home. Then, it came up with the girl in my High School years and she got Ovarian cancer yet still lives today. It scared me then and still scares me today.

Cancer still followed me around till 1984 when I was called by my Aunt to New Jersey on ThanksGiving Weekend and told my real father had died in the hospital of Lung Cancer. I attended the wake of course and moved on in life. Then in 1990 after my Naval service and going through a divorce, I returned home, upon arriving I found out my step-father had cancer too and he died in October of 1990. At the same time we were all hit with the fate of our mother, who had been diagnosed with Lung Cancer also in July 1990 and died October 1991 following her Husband one year and a day later. We buried her with her husband and both were cremated as requested.

Later it was brought to my attention my ex-wife had gone through Breast Cancer also, and survived after the divorce. My race from this nasty disease called Cancer was on for decades and I never realized it at all, it was chasing me through the years.

In the 1990’s I met my second wife, 1993 to be precise. We dated and I moved in with her. As time went on we had to sell the big home she had in the country, and move too a cheaper one, they call it downgrading. Anyway, seven years after meeting we married Officially in the backyard of our new home under Willow Trees.

Six years after the marriage date, we were in Doctors Offices again, at least for me. My wife had now been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Of course I took her through the operation and chemotherapy and radiation and she survives today and still has both breasts. Thank God for miracles !

Now, came August 2nd, 2013, and my phone rang. The Doctor on the other end told me they had found something on my Cat Scan in my lung. I went to see her and was referred to a Pulmonologist, who then ordered a Pet Scan. They found on the Pet Scan a tumor in my right lung, middle lobe and told me it was Cancer.

On September 3rd, 2013 I wash operated on at the West haven Veteran’s Hospital in Connecticut. My middle lobe of my right lung was removed with the tumor and sections of my upper lobe were checked too. I had Lung Cancer too and had survived it without needing Chemo or Radiation, it is now October 24th, 2013 and I live on.

So In the End Ladies and Gentlemen I have survived what killed my father and mother and i am still here, thanks to the miracles of modern medicine and a great set of Doctors at the West Haven Veteran’s Hospital. From my Doctor Martzitelli, to Doctor Cain and to Doctor Kim, I offer my greatest thank you for saving my life and the great work they do. Modern Medicine has come a long way since the 90’s even and so much further since the 1950’s when I was born, god bless all of you! Maybe one day it will stop chasing me around this nasty thing called cancer, I can only hope so!

Please Help Fight Cancer for all. Lets Eradicate this Disease so no one suffers again!

In Boston, Mass. At Fenway Park, The Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals begin at around 8 pm EST. The World Series will open in Fenway Park this year after the red Sox’s biggest turnaround in history in a one year span. Last year they lost 193 game this year they won that many and are still going! What a difference a few players and a new Manager make! Go Red Sox Go, win it all!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am tired of people who become famous for whatever reason like singing, acting,politics or anything else, who rise up out of nowhere then fall from grace due to crimes or drugs. The latest one to do so is Cee Lo Green of music and The Voice Fame. he had it made between his music and the show of which he is a star on many love to watch. Sadly his episode in LA. with drugs and a woman is just sadly an shaming item to me. I hope it proves false and he doesn’t get 4 years in jail for the use of ecstasy on a woman. The sad part is he could probably date any woman he wanted , why revert to using drugs on one? I will never understand why, people who make it famous like this, do not think before they act and control themselves! I am not saying if he is Guilty or not guilty nor would I ever, the point is be more careful when famous please!

Last thing today, ObamaCare or The Nation Health INsurance going into place now. Ladies and Gentlemen, computer glitches have happened to Google, Internet Explorer, Microsoft, and many others near the times of their launch, it will be repaired and fixed in reasonable time. As to the Market for Insurance under this program and law, well, it will improve in price and availability as more and more people sign up and get in the game so to speak. The MArket competition is just beginning as more people and companies are drawn into ObamaCare, just wait and see it will iron out. The sad part is the Republicans and the opposition to Obamacare will see when it works out much like it did in Britain and Canada. All takes time to do so, believe me!

Please Fight Cancer in all it’s forms folks! Donate to The American cancer Society, it took my Grandfather, it took my father, it took my mother and it almost took my wife and I. We are now Cancer Survivors here, my wife survived Breast Cancer and I Have now Survived Lung Cancer, it’s a deadly killing disease that should be wiped out period. Yes Indeed! Folks here comes the World Series of Baseball, from Fenway Park, Boston, Mass. on Wednesday Night! The ST. Louis Cardinals will come to Boston, to take on the Boston Red Sox for the Championship of Major League Baseball! Boston will host a crowded venue in Fenway Park once more to see the games, as fans from both sides will yell and scream and eat and drink and stare down opposing teams members and back the teams. The Best of Seven World Series is indeed a Fall Classic worth watching, the pitching duels coming up and the hitting stars are alone worth it all. Watch Folks for The World Series is all red this year and should be a good one. For me Win, Lose or Draw I am a Diehard Boston Red Sox Fan! Go Red Sox Go!

Little Secrets ofMales and Females

There are things in life, men and women have some differences on and different needs in many ways, and there is no way to change it. Would we want to really, I doubt it all. Stop and think of the differences and the reasons for them and it is really an examination of not only physical differences but mental ones too.
As we all grow up there is a stage we all notice the opposite sex, and it happens at different ages for sure. Some of us go thru puberty at different ages and the results come out differently too. If you stop and think of that, well you may have the reasons for some of the people, who are strange or different who walk the planet, right?
As we know each sex, male and female have their own little secrets they don’t let out or they try to hide as long as possible. Everyone is a little different right, I mean, females don’t tell us men everything and vice versa, we tend to hide certain things we do, or act like we don’t know something when we really do to make the opposite sex feel more important to themselves.
Women tend to do this by asking the man around how to fix the door, the bathroom, the window or whatever breaks. Then they stand about and watch you do it, like they never did it themselves before and congratulate you on getting it done, but they just did it themselves the year before. What makes a man think a woman can’t change a tire, put in a new car battery, or fix a toilet for instance, a woman does!. She stands there all helpless looking, bats her eyes, and wiggles and jiggles until the man says ok I got it. Female secret weapons include, and are not limited to body parts, cleavage, curves, rear ends and smiles and big eyes or colorful ones. They get equipped at a young age and learn how to use their charms to get what they want done. Yet us men have found ways to avoid these womanly ways especially if you have been married a while.
Stop and think men and women, am I right or not, don’t you think we are stereo-typed into believing things we shouldn’t believe? For instance let’s discuss the Presidential Election for one. Remember 2008, Hillary vs. Obama, the fight to be President, what fun. It did prove that women have much more skill than they will ever admit and the Hillary Clinton is one hell of a woman and smart as a whip, didn’t it. She didn’t believe for one moment she couldn’t be President or that the Democrats wouldn’t give her the Nomination. She kept at it again and again, until, the numbers got to she and she had to admit defeat. I will tell you one thing, if Hillary Clinton had become the First Female President of the United States, we would have probably been a lot better off, today. Where ever you go, no matter where in the World, Hillary Rodham Clinton is admired, and loved and thought of as the brilliant woman she is, because she is aggressive when needed, she is laid back as needed, and in the end a producer of results. Not many men can say the same, and many tend to fumble along and think with the wrong heads, if you get my drift! Sad isn’t it, that a person so damn smart, logical and who had such fine solutions and ideas, got pushed aside, in a critical race that could have and would have changed the world and America forever!
Now when I talk differences between men and women, male and female, there is also a communication gap we like to believe in. That’s bullshit and actually a myth and story we humans use to hide behind. Do you really think a woman can’t use a tool or fix her own car? Just walk away once and come back, they will do one of two things, 1) learn to fix it on their own, or pay to have it done by a man. If they are broke they use their bodies to attract a man to get things done for them, things they know damn well they can and would do on their own, if they had to.
On the other hand we men are not stupid as women like to think we are either. We too play mind games and pretend to have hearing problems and more. It’s a matter of fact between men and women we have our different ways of handling life and each other.
We, men do the following and women get so pissed at us, it drives them crazy. We tend to act like we didn’t hear them when we did. We tend to not know something when we do, but choose to keep our mouths shut, because we know if we open it, wham, we will get the job and we really don’t want it. There are many little things; men won’t admit to knowing just as women do, the difference is men use our so called lack of knowledge, or abilities and the stupid act to get out of what we don’t want to do.
I will give you a for-instance; do you women really believe us men can’t cook or do laundry, I mean really. What the hell do you think we did before we met you, pay for it all to be done? Or dishes do you really think men don’t know how to clean a dish, glass, cup or pot or pan? If you do, go to your boyfriend’s apartment or home someday unexpectedly, if you think you will find him living in a mess, well, his momma would kill him if he did silly. Unless of course the guy is totally, and I mean totally lazy and useless, then you wouldn’t want us anyway would you ladies?
So when a husband walks around a store, going yes dear, whatever you want dear, yes you can have it dear, yes I know I can’t buy nothing, we don’t do it to look stupid, we do it so we don’t get nagged, beaten up or hear about it for weeks, or end up sexless or on the couch, and no other reason. Men usually have excuses they use before they get something done, one of our favorites is, when I get round to it! I used to use it a lot and it got me out of so many things I could put off and not bother with, like: Dear Paint The Bathroom, when I get round to it!. Then one day my wife got smart, I went to sit down and play video games and I found a piece of round paper on my seat. I picked it up, it said Round to It, get to work, laughing, it’s true she caught on.
Anyway the point is simple, we men aren’t as stupid as we act and you women aren’t as helpless as you make out to be either! It is indeed a world of little secrets for both sexes isn’t it! Hahahahahaha!

Pets/Fate /Destiny/Life

Pets are something many of us have and keep for their lives and to add some loving to our own, each day we live. A Puppy that barks and wiggles it rear and tail as it comes to you when you come home, a cat who meows and curls up in your lap in the evening, a bird that chirps or even fish in a tank of water. They all seem to calm the human soul to help your physical and mental well-being as you go through life, and we seem to help them live their lives and be happy too. It really is a give and take when you take in a pet or two from a Humane Society or a Pound, they give back as much loving as you get from them and more and vice versa os to say. Almost like having children all over again, only they don’t talk back to you and tell you they hate you when they get mad at you! If I can, if you’re lonely, or need a good friend adopt a dog, a cat and see your world change as they get to know you and you them, it helps both them and you folks.

Fate it’s a simple word many understand I am sure, it’s the predestined things in life that can happen to us, because they were meant to be right? Well, maybe so, maybe not, I know when I was a kid I used to daydream dreams and avoid things that could hurt me or others. I would go to sleep at night and wake up knowing what to avoid the next day, because I would see sights of things I saw in my dreams and veer away from it all and survive. I don’t know if they call it a power or just a fantasy or just something some people have, I only know what happened for me. fate is not always so, it is up to each of us to accept or deny it as we go along, as long as we have some awareness of it.

Destiny is something different you see for we are destined for things we have no choice over, like who our parents are, what school we go to, who our friends maybe, what we grow up to be and more. we have absolutely no control over any of it then, so we accept what we were given and handed and we deal with it in the best way possible and make the best of it all. Yet it is not all destiny, or fate folks, there is determination, there is striving, working and doing what you can to make yourself the best you can be for yourself, for your family, for your loved ones and friends. You don’t need to fight with people, you don’t need to be mean or loud or prejudice or discriminating either, you just need to be accepting and friendly and do your own thing, have some morals, stands, ethics and be yourself no matter who you are or what you are,that is exactly what it is about folks. If you live on in people’s memories as a good soul who was kind and good to people and fair to all you win, and die peacefully.

Was it fate for me to be born to the parents I was born to I have no idea, was it destiny for my daughters to be my daughters and their children theirs, no one knows for sure, we do know one thing, our children whether fully ours or half ours or adopted need us all and we protect, teach, feed, dress, wash and keep them close to our hearts, isn’t that, what life is all about?

Awards we all earn in life for one reason or another in one way or another over time. There is no bigger award or reward though then to sit back in your 50’s, 60s. and see your grandchildren run around your home full of laughter and joy. Or to watch them learn something new and different and be amazed and tell you all about it. Awards I have for sure I did my 16 years in the service, got my Good Conduct Awards, my ribbons and more. I won my awards in college when I went back to school at 40 and learned how to Manage Hotels and Restaurants and do my thing to work again, but there is still no biggie reward then to hold a granddaughter a grandson in your arms or watch them play in your yard at home is there folks. Passing on to them, good memories, laughter, jokes and watching them grow is everything it’s what good in life, isn’t it?

Lastly and not the least important thing for all of us to remember in life. If you find a partner, whether you are straight, or gay, and you love them, keep them, don’t run from them or push them away, they are what grounds you and gives you something and someone to come home to, thank them and tell them you love them and care and they will stay there!
