2012, Promise and Hope

Wave good-bye today to 2011, it ends at midnight tonight!. As we all know today is indeed New Years Eve. Here in Connecticut I woke this morning to rain outside and a chill in the air. It seems to fit 2011 as a year, it was a cold, damp, ragged year, filled with ups and downs and very few solid gold moments of pleasure and fun.

First and foremost I want everyone to be careful, don’t over do on booze or drugs, or anything else. Last till 2012 begins ok, don’t die as you bring it in!.  A new Year can be refreshing and you can indeed clear up problems from the old one if you try hard enough. Of course as we all know, no amount of partying, drinking, drugging, or anything else will wipe away mistakes made in the prior year, but, at least you have learned what not to do twice.

Lets me say, I hope 2012 will be the year in which humanity will learn to live in peace the world over, America will solve its financial crisis like adults and pay its bills. The middle class in America will get a full chance at recovery and make it back and we recognize Global Warming is indeed killing the planet and us with it, and we clean up our act. Across the world in so many time zones the clock shall strike midnight, and a new beginning is in the promise for all, lets hope to God, that we are smart enough to do what is right to save our planet, ourselves and to make a better world period.

2011, brought the deaths of many famous people as we all know, the list goes on from Elizabeth Taylor to Steve Jobs and many more. As Americans lose our heroes, from many different professions and areas, we tend to find some replacements still around out there. Fame though is a fleeting item and can indeed disappear as fast as it came. Many don’t want fame and hide from it, I am with them on that point, why let the world stare into your private life and make a mess of it for you?

Everyone, or at least many use the New Year, to make resolutions and to try to stick to them, some of us really did reach them and accomplish what we wanted. I beat smoking, cigarettes were a part of my life for 30 years, and I overcame and stopped. I saved that money for more necessary things in life and some pleasures.

So, as 2012 begins one minute past midnight, tonight, stop and think what you can do to make the world a better place to live for yourself, your family, your friends and the planet too. Lets pay attention to the world environment, the populations, and the materials we waste and use up for no reasons.

2012 will also be the biggest year for American Politics in many decades if you stop to think about it. We are faced with the beginning of the year-long process of choosing an American President once again, or keeping the one we have. Americans, you want to make an intelligent choice when you vote this 2012, not a silly one.

America needs a strong, smart leader, with compassion, intelligence, and able to lead and stand tall. America needs someone who will compromise, listen and help us all, to a better life and place in the world and turn around the economy and more. Dont’ let people tell you the current President didn’t work for the people, because he sure as hell has. He has worked to save Social Security, Medicaid, he has come up with a Health Law that needs time to take effect and helps millions. He pulled us from Iraq and Iran and is working on ending Afghanistan, all wars we didn’t need and still don’t want. The morasses of war will destroy us that is for sure. America must stop policing other nations, defending other nations and entering wars we don’t belong in.

In closing, 2011, was a  year filled with Dictators falling, criminals caught up to, terrorist killed and removed and more. I know we must defend and protect our own and our borders, let’s do so correctly and peacefully as possible. One final message on 2011, across America this country has been built on immigration, a flux of new comers who come in and bring different talents, occupations and knowledge. I understand the millions out there who came here illegally and broke our laws. We don’t need to make a bigger mess of this, and try to deport all of them at once, and be marked as fools in society period. We do need to form laws and enforce them to prevent further influxes and to protect out borders. The ones who are here over a period of time we need to make citizens and make pay their fair share. The ones not here yet and trying to get in, we need to make them do so legally, period.

That all said and done, I want to Wish All,  Americans, and the World,

A Very Happy New Year, and I hope one filled with Promise and Hope!

New Year WIshes and Thoughts

2011, is coming to an end, tomorrow shall be New Year’s Eve, people will be celebrating all over the world. Out with the old and in with the new, it seems each year it’s the thing to do! So as the big evening comes around I want to wish all a Happy New Year and a Safe one too!.

Unlike many people in the world and especially in the United States, I have never partied New Years Eve away. I use it in a different way than most, for I sit at home and reflect on the past year and those before it. It gives me time to think about what I have missed, what I should have done, mistakes I may have made and what I would do to change things if I could.

Reflecting back, sometimes helps you determine the future, determine what you may want most or what you did wrong and wish you did right most. We all have those moments in time I am sure, when we become sad about something we didn’t do correctly or we had control over but let it slip by. The important thing is to reflect on it all and remember the ones you wish you had changed and not make the same mistakes over again!.

2012, should be a year of changes in America I would hope. We need improvements in the economy, the jobs and housing markets, and in health care too. We need to pay attention to the environment and global warming, the glaciers are melting and in one hundred years there will be too many people for the land masses to hold as the waters rise. The climate and environment are changing at unbelievable rates, and humanity is not only destroying the planet by taking so much from it, we are polluting the hell out of our atmosphere, we are indeed committing suicide!.

I am not in a leadership position anywhere in the world, but those that are should consider and think about all I am saying.  Yet I know as do billions of other human beings, my voice is like one tree falling in a forest, no one can hear or see it, yet it still tumbles on.

Across the world in less than 48 hours, a New Year will begin!. I have my ideas on what it should bring for my family, my friends and loved ones, do you? Let the New Year be Prosperous for all, Awakings for Politicians and Leaders so they can see Peace and make it last!. May 2012 bring Hope and Joy, and Love to All. May Mankind be kinder, may we all have patience, may we all find a way to Compromise!.

Breaking Down Republicans Chances!

Breaking Down Republicans Chances!.

Breaking Down Republicans Chances!

In a world filled with doubt, hate, and despair and fear, we go on. What shall it bring for 2012?. Will there be more factories closings, more store closings, and fewer jobs again? Will all costs rise and no one have a way to pay their way anymore?. Congress needs to wake up and realize too many unemployed and hurting Americans need their help, and to move their asses to help all.

Next we need to keep our eyes wide open for attacks upon America on American soil!. Too many enemies exist when you’re a country like America trying to lead the way to a better life. We don’t always have people agreeing with us and that causes another problem of contempt, jealousy, and hate. These thing pile up and can boil over toward us, big time.

On a lesser note, but not unimportant of course, comes the 2012 Election Cycle in full tilt for the Republicans. The remaining ones are  fighting it out, with five days left to go. Foolish as it all seems they do need to produce a candidate to oppose President Obama. When I look at the match-ups they can make, I wonder why they even bother really?. The candidates they have come up with, seem unable to go toe to toe so to say with President Obama, without imploding upon themselves,

The Favorite when this started and the leader of the pack at the beginning, was Michelle Bachman. She spoke tough, pure and honest and stood tall. But that being said she has also faded from the leader position to the back of the pack, why, because as we all know the Republicans could never nominate a woman.

Then came Cain, then went Cain. You can’t be running for President under the big lights and pressure and being messing around with the opposite sex or any sex. They will indeed pull the rug out from under you, like they did Herman Cain. Sadly Mr. Cain did not realize how much public exposure he really had, did he?

Then riding his pony and trying to be tough and bold comes Gingrich, the former Speaker of The House. As soon as I saw him I saw the trouble that can follow this man about. His three marriages, his past record in  the government and more. I knew than, like I do now no way can he get the nomination, too much damage control needed here and too reckless. You can’t try being bullet proof, when your already hit with bullets so many times it’s like swiss cheese armour!.

Mitt Romney has held steady at the twenty-five percent range from the beginning of this primary run. Holding steady is ok, as long as it keeps one in the running. Sooner or later though his share will have to go up higher to beat anyone out here. Romney does have some baggage from prior runs and his term in office in his home state. Yet at no time is any of that bad enough to run him from this race. So I call Romney Mr. Steady right now and we shall see what happens next.

I believe by the end of the New Hampshire Primary the Republican field will thin out. Rick Santorum may be able to hold on a bit, now that he has the lead in some states or areas, but his name recognition factor and over all lack of experience will more than likely slow him and eliminate him in the near future sometime.

Then we come to the surging, and popular elder statesman, Mr. Ron Paul of Texas. His liberal republican views and ideas are dangerous to himself and the country and we all know America would not vote him in. Yet he keeps trying and trying, his views for a Republican are so far out there and off the mark, people tend to listen, clap and then laugh before he leaves the stage. So,I doubt America will allow him to lead, nor will his own party give him its nomination.

That leaves Mr/ Rick Perry of Texas it’s Governor. Well in my opinion, even before you get to this first primary in Iowa, Mr. Perry should drop out and go home. His speeches are jokes on the record, people laugh at them. His lack of control is crazy and silly, he is like watching a roller coaster ride go bad on a clear day, sad indeed. He has no idea what he is doing or how deep in he is getting. He can’t and won’t win the Republican Nomination and he knows it,as does most everyone else watching. So, Mr. Perry save yourself the debts and public humiliation and go home now I say!.

In the end the Republicans will be forced down to two maybe three candidates before this ends to choose from. Romney, Santorum, and maybe Bachman. And we all know Bachman won’t get the Republican Nomination, just because she is a she. The Republicans will not give her the Nomination for the Presidency, anymore than the Democrats did Hillary Clinton in 2008. That glass ceiling may be cracked heavily by Mrs. Clinton, but it won’t be broken by Mrs. Bachman at this time and date.

Mr. Santorum is a possibility, but, he is too inexperienced and maybe too young overall. His record is pretty clean and he may stand a good chance as an alternative candidate to Romney. I believe though he will get beaten by Mitt Romney.

In the end , The Republican’s will realize the lesser of all evils and the one with the most chance of beating President Obama is indeed Mitt Romney. We shall see soon, the number and votes are going to be popping up on January 3rd, 2012. Lets hope the American People speak loud enough and thin this pack, so we can get a decent election in November 2012 going.

Reelect, President Obama!!!!

Three days left to 2011, a year filled with wars, ending wars, political wars and violence on Television and in the world. Too many in the world believe the best way of settling differences is through violence and eventually they kill one another off leaving no winner. Sad isn’t it, when a race of humanity, which produced so many different societies, can’t all live in piece on the one planet that sustains us all?

We destroy the planet first and foremost by taking, taking and taking from it, we take the minerals, the oils, the fluids, the gases and we give no thought to how fast we are depleting what may be keeping our atmosphere and lands alive. Sad isn’t it, now, we are all searching and fighting over oil, and money once more, till another tyrant raises his ugly head and we gather and go we have to stop him or her too, and more fights and wars erupt, why?

From an American who served his country and got hurt in the process, believe me we don’t want anymore wars now. We can’t be the worlds’ police force anymore, America can’t afford it. The cost in human lives, equipment, time and effort is staggering as well as crazy. We need to for once mind our own damn business and live our own lives here.

That said and done, we face a New Year coming in 2012. Who will be the next American President or will we reelect who we now have? That is now the primary question in American Politics and it is rightfully so. Yet I hate to say this, by default no Republican out there is qualified or good enough to be President in one way or another they all fail to measure up. The news these days is even catching on as they find faults for each and every candidate who the Republicans have put up. There is no Abraham Lincoln or even Ronald Regan among these folks.

Many want us to believe the best thing to do is vote President Obama out, I disagree! No President is perfect and i am sure Mr. Obama will agree he isn’t too, but that being said he does what he can. He produced a Health Care Law that is saving millions of Americans medical expenses and prescription costs. He represents the American People well overseas and here at home too, he stands proud. While others cry and waffle and bail out or fight, Mr. Obama presses for solutions and action, economically, militarily and socially. I think that makes him a President worth giving four more years. There is no scandals of his life, no playing around on his  family, no hidden secrets from anyone of a nature that would destroy him. Do we want a President who is well-educated, well spoken, who stands tall and honorably and represents the American People with pride, then reelect Obama. You can’t ask a man to clear up and fix an economic mess that was created in eight years in four can you? Give him the same chance others gave George W. Bush, let Obama have his eight years in office and I bet he will complete the economic recovery he has started by the time he is done!

As Americans across the land prepare for 2012, and have now lived through a Christmas Season filled with less and having less have found out, it isn’t Obama who caused this it is the Republicans. In the end, Obama has tried to take a large bulldozer to the government and tried to clean up the mess left behind, give him a chance to finish what he started and I bet America will be a better place once more!

Who Shall Survive the Republican Primaries?

Who Shall Survive the Republican Primaries?.

Who Shall Survive the Republican Primaries?

The start of The Republican Primaries begin in January and many need to stop and look at these candidates and what they represent, or bring to the race. But as you do that, you better take a real good look at who you think has a chance to knock out an incumbant President!. In my opinion looking at it in that fashion, or way very few will honestly compete with Obama and be able to debate or handle him on issues.

Say what you will on President Obama, you can love him, or hate him, he does make America look stronger, he does work to stabilize it. He did get a Health Care Law through when all before him could not. He wants to shore up Social Security and Medicaid not tear them down. He gave many Americans a way to save their homes and survive. In the end he is also working on the jobs problem, and getting us out of wars, we didn’t belong in. That tells me he did a lot better than any Republican wanted him to.

The question now becomes do the Republicans have one candidate who can balance as many items or juggle as many items and make us look better in the world, than Obama did?. My Answer is no!, No?, Hell No!.

Among those left, in my book the following Republican Candidates shouldn’t even still be in the race, Rick Perry is number 1 in my book he should go home. Rick Santorum is a good enough person, but lacks the political power or push to win anything, maybe next time around for him.  Ron Paul is too radical and wild to win the nomination, he is not conservative enough or stable enough read his speeches and answers in debates. Sadly, I must also say Michelle Bachman, even though she has said some brilliant things so far and stands tall for womanhood, and believe me I like her running, is not going to get a Republican Nomination for president, if the Democrats didn’t give theirs to Hillary in o8, well you get the idea.

This leads us to the few remaining I have not named yet, Mr. Gingrich and Mr. Romney. Mr. Gingrich’s faults and past are now starting to seep out through the wood work so to say. Little things start the snow ball effect in the end that will bury him. You can’t be married three times, have political baggage and so many problems and hide them for ever, the American people will uncover it all soon enough.

This leave one man standing in my opinion, Mr. Mitt Romney and he has some baggage himself from his home state, but he is the least of all evils in my book. Can he win the nomination, I think he will, due to the political baggage and nastiness of the other candidates on the Republican side, as well as the lack of experience for some too. If Mr. Romney brings his family values to the plate . uses his immediate family in the election and speaks honest straight talk he can win. For the rest will stumble, falter, speak out of turn or be disregarded by the party for different reasons. We shall have to see, soon in January who fails to survive?

Looking Back, 2011 slow ending!

A little look back at life when your older is sometimes funny or silly or at times serious and ugly, but in the end it compiles quickly for the one living it. We are all actually, an accumulation of the experiences we have plus our emotional make-ups from our childhoods. The things your parents taught you, the way, you used that information and the way you felt about situations make you, who you are.

We don’t control many factors for sure like who we are born to, who we end up being raised by, or how they really influence us in life, with what they do to us or for us when raising us, do we?. Sadly it is true what I am saying. but once we are out from under the protection rainbow of those who did raise us, what we do next makes us who we are today or each day.

Life after all is a process of learning, developing, growing and changing, and as we get older we tend to use what we learned when younger to make our lives better. We try to avoid the mistake of our elders, we learned from our elders knowledge and how to react to things. Which makes us all the individuals we are today!

So, as the New Year now begins its approach slowly and over the final week or so, I think many need to sit back, and refresh their memories of the ones who raised them, taught them and influenced them, and made them who they are today. For me, the greatest influences I had were not always in my family, but from my friends I grew close to over the years, growing up.

I stop and would Thank, my mother for my birth and the care she gave to all of us, raising us. My Step-father who took on two kids not his own and three of his own and did the best he could. I didn’t always agree with all of their methods or styles, but we survived and got to adulthood.

The outside influences in my life were many growing up, I had surrogate parents in many places, in Ms. Johnson, Ms. Dudonis, Ms. Geer. I had friends who stood by me and still do today, I love them all.

My Sister and I have always been close and always will I love her more than the world. My First wife I respect for the years she loved and helped me survive. As I helped her, and I respected her decision to end it all. My Daughters by her were the greatest gift to both of us and they now know that too.

I learned so many things through relationships with girlfriends, lovers, and in the end military life, I pride myself on my social abilities when i use them these days.  So as 2011, slowly closes and 2012 is what I look forward to, I hope for the best and to see my life through.

I have now out lived the life span of my real father, who died at my age of 55 currently. I shall turn 56 if I make it in January. My mother rest her soul died at 59 as did my step-father, one day and a year apart in 90 and 91. The years have slowly slipped by and my second wife is with me always to this day, I met her in 93.

So, I want all to stop and think back at those who raised you, influenced you, helped you and developed you and think fondly of it all, for they are what make us all who we are each day. Have a warm and Happy New Year all.
