A Visit from The Father, The Son and the Holy Ghost!

Christmas morning has arrived, we awaken and slowly open our eyes. We slide from our beds with dreams in our heads, and go to the bathroom and wash the sleep from our eyes. We put on some clothes and down the stairs we do go, to find the tree all lit and the presents under it. We wait for everyone to get up and smile and  think this isn’t rough.

The family then gathers all around the tree, once they are all up and join you and me. The presents are handed out one by one, as the camera goes off, with flash from a gun. Each present is opened and the joy does fly, it is amazing how fast the fun, flies by.

We gather with family and friends on this day and enjoy the company and love we get and give away.  May Your Christmas be filled with family and love and friends who drop by and give and get love. May everyone get what they need and want most, a visit from the Father, Son and Holy Ghost!.

Happy Holidays to ALL

The Flying Christmas Tree

Christmas Eve has begun, the season is tumbling on, The weather is warmer than normal and the days have flown by to get here. Christmas Eve, is still a family event in my book, but many like to visit friends or family. It’s a day of reflecting and remembering for me. I tend to think back on the best Christmas Eves I have lived through and believe me there were more than a few.

I survived each year to be presented with Christmas’s that were a little different in many ways. We had Xmas’ with love and care and ones with hate and laughter to hear. and some with love and some with fighting, and what about the year the christmas tree went flying?

I remember it well you see, we were living in the projects and it was Christmas Time. We had no tree just mom my brother and me. Our Step-Father and mom had fought that year, she threw him out was all we did hear. No Christmas Tree was anywhere, no presents around or music to hear, the outside yard was filled with snow, but no Jolly Fat man would go HO, HO!.

Suddenly, the back door bell did ring, I opened it up and to my surprise was my Step-Father before my eyes. He said hello and backed out of sight, and up popped a Christmas Tree that night. I let Dad in and he went to work, he put up the tree and decorated it till he hurt. He hung all the lights and balls with care, so we kids could have a tree to share. He said he had to run you see and said goodbye to my siblings and me.

We stared at that tree most of the time, until mom came and there she did find, the Christmas Tree all lit and looking fine. Her words became angry, her voice did raise, she said bad things and said Dad would pay. Then suddenly, in anger, with all of her might she threw open the back door and unplugged the trees lights. She held the door open with the pump, lifted the tree and out the door she did dump. It slid down the sidewalk with balls and lights breaking, as all of us kids stood crying not faking. The tree had flown in anger you see, which meant no Christmas for my siblings and me.

Then on Christmas Eve about eleven pm. the door bell rang once again. I sprang from my bed and looked out the window, there was dad his fedora on standing in the snow. Slowy , he was talking to mom downstairs, and till finally, he went and picked up the tree, brought it back in for all of us to see. He redecorated, with haste using what was good he could find, and lit up the tree before his bedtime. Finally in the end, the tree did stand, and dad and mom went to bed to wake up together again!.

Christmas Morning arrived and boy were we surprised to come down the stairs and have  a tree at which to stare. There around the tree piled were presents out into the room, of all sizes you see for my siblings and me.

I stopped and wondered what had happened, and what had gone on. All I knew now was Santa had come. Merry Christmas Rang through our house that year, the year of the flying Christmas Tree, and  a tear!.

Merry Christmas All and a Happy New Year!

Something to Think About!

Two days and Christmas 2011 will be with us. The Trees will all be lit, the kids jumping round, the music of the Season will be the only sound. The joy and laughter will come right and left, and some will smile or cry as of yet.

Christmas Time many see what they get, they smile and laugh and love it all yet. But far away from this season of joy, is a homeless child a girl or a boy. They get nothing for Christmas and they eat out of cans. and they sleep on the streets, even too mean for woman or man. Their lives are not changing without any help, they know they won’t make it, but don’t give a yelp!.

So, when you start thinking of what you got or didn’t get, and complain about something, stop and think of them, you bet. It will change your thoughts and change how you feel, if you see the world through the eyes of the real. They pray for a break, a home to sleep, they pray for some food and yes some heat. The clothes on their back are ragged and torn, and if you look closely they look so forgone.

Please don’t complain if you have a home, a place to stay warm and food to eat, at least you are not like them walking the street. Count your blessings each day, for they are so real in everyway. We who have more than most here in America. complain when we don’t get a gift or we don’t get attention, imagine being these children who also get nothing and have nothing, staring in your window, with eyes so sad and lips slightly open and freezing bad.

Give Thanks America, and I hope Your Holidays will be great and full.

A Little Holiday Message for all!

Yesterday , being the 21st, of December 2011, decorations went up and lists were made for bakery goods and groceries and more. We rushed around the house decorating like fools, bells here, a wreath there, and a small tree you see. Each year is a job of decorating and then undecorating later on, but we don’t care we do it on auto-pilot, each and every year. The children are grown and with kids of their own, the grandchildren are so much fun and nice, we get to spoil them and send them home, hehehe. It is all part of what makes the Holiday Season so good.

Not all have a good Holiday, and this year it seems, too many children and adults will lose their dreams. They won’t get what they want from Santa, or his elves, nor anyone else, you see. Their parents are out of work and on unemployment or disability ort social security. Money is tight and times are tough, kids may have to go back to non-electric stuff.

As the Holiday rolls on in and today is the 22nd, three days to go, before Santa’s big HO, HO. be thankful this year to not starve, be thankful if you have a roof over your head and a warm and cozy bed. Be thankful if you have a family and friends a place to go for time to spend.

This Christmas, even if you can’t give much or receive much, remember it’s not the price of the gifts, you give or receive, nor who gets what. It the spirit of the season, the family and friends and the happiness of being alive once again. Think back to the days, when Jesus was born, he laid in a manger and  was kept warm. There was food for him and a place to sleep, and his Momma and Daddy who prayed for his soul to keep!. Sometimes it is not the greatness of a gift, but the simple act of being there, that makes it all worth while. Be there for family, be there for friends, be there as a person and be nice till the end.

I wish all the a Merry  and Happiest Holiday Season, May your Holiday be filled with Peace and Joy!. May you treat all children correct, whether girl or boy. May the laughter ring and the music play, and May all the World Have a Happy and Merry Christmas Day!.

May Peace Come!

The day is December 21st, 2011, the longest day of the year, each year. The Holiday Season is upon the world and in the USA, people rush to and fro, looking for last-minute gifts for the places they go. The lights are every where, at least where they can afford to be, but what bothers me, is the darkness from some out there.  Yet, Tis The Season to be Jolly and all that good stuff, so I will try to be nice and not too rough.

Americans will be paying more payroll taxes after the first of the year. The Senate and Congress decided to go home without a solution to any of it. The House Leader and his Republican partners in crime, decided once again, to let Americans pay the dime. Lets play political ping-pong with this bill and see if the Democrats will give in or if we can get the Senate to come back to Washington, DC this Christmas Season. Well, Mr. House Leader, they won’t come back because you force them to not want to come back. Your stubborn, idiotic and pushy, you want everything your own way and so does your party, and it can’t happen that way.

Sadly, each day I see a man who was very lucky to become The House Leader, act like a greedy little child who believes his way is the only right way. The Republicans first say no we won’t vote to extend the payroll taxes, then get the Democrats to change them to fit what they want, then the Senate approves it for two months and now the Republicans say oh no, we want a full year extension. Wake up, if this is not political ping-pong then I am a frog.

The Iraq War is ended for Americans now and sadly some of those same Americans, asked to fight in Iraq and protect Iraq are now being sent to the next dumbest war area on the planet Afghanistan. These people in Afghanistan hate America and it’s people and would rather see us wiped off the face of the earth, yet we go in and help them fight their war? Are we out of our minds?

To close this today, I want to say, not all I do is Rave and Rant on such political items and pick on politicians. I write poetry sometimes and post it online, I write Short Stories of childhood days, holidays and more and post them for all to read. But, the biggest thing I do is acknowledge that the world may have all its wars, all it’s pain, all it’s hurts too, it may change with time and go on forever, yet we all don’t do we?

So as the Holiday Season across the world is building to its big day on December 25th, here in the USA, many are ready for the big day. Children await the presents and toys, they all of a sudden become good girls and boys. The stocking are hung and the wreathes we can see, the lights at night can blind you and me.  On Christmas morning come sun, or snow, sleet or rain, the Holiday will remain. A Quiet will fall over the world,  and maybe for one brief second, we can all be good boys and girls!. So, I request from all who may read this and see, Let Peace be on Earth and goodwill to humanity, and may it last for longer than a day this time!.

Vote Them Out, Make History!

Social Security and Medicaid two service given to people who really need them after they work and earn them for years. The Medicaid takes some medical and prescription costs away for the elderly and disabled and social security they get to live off of after they have paid into it for decades and finally need it to survive or for disability again. So why mess with these items if your Congress, don’t you understand the number of people who depend on these two items in their lives to survive?

Then we get oh, we have a Tax Plan and we want to take the money out of Social Security to help pay for it, hell no, keep your mitts off of our money!. What the hell is wrong with you folks in Congress, you build a working program, you have people pay into it for decades into their life, automatically deducting from their paychecks, then when they need it most it’s gone because you borrowed from it? Stop the bullshit, leave Social Security alone and Medicaid too. The American People who served and fought for this country, the disabled and aged need that money to survive in today’s world, where will they get the money for the medications, Doctors and bills the elderly must pay then to survive?

That said, Congresses slip-shod performance and petty bickering has taken this country to the brink of destruction many times now in the past few years. Why the hell is that happening, because instead of leading and advancing America towards a better future and what is needed most, politicians in America have decided to block each others parties, bills, and laws and act like spoiled children instead of adults. Wake up, Senators and Representatives it’s time to get something done. If I had my way I would have all of you staying in the capital until it was all bickered and fought out and the solution was in.

The Senate and House are  all going to be home for the holiday as we all well know. Their Trees and Decorations will be up and shinning bright, their families will have heat, a home, food and places to sleep and many presents piled at their feet. Isn’t it great to have money and fame at the price of Americans hurting of whom you don’t even know their name?. Oh yes, you great big politicians earned it right with all of your hard work in Washington, DC. , before you collect it, could you please show the work you did to my fellow Americans and me. We will decide your evaluations now, the time has come, you definitely did not get enough done!.

So, as America gets ready for the biggest Holiday Season of the Year, and we close in on the end of 2011, I wish someone would review the performance of these so-called hard-working politicians in Washington, DC, grade them like you would any other student no matter of color, race or anything else. If we do this Congress, Senators and Representatives, sucked, they don’t deserve pay raises, they don’t deserve job security, or benefits, what they deserve is a shot at standing in the unemployment lines like the rest of the Americans, they dumped on and didn’t help. Lets throw them out of office, lets find new people to do the job we need for our country, our welfare and our well-being, please. Vote the Idiots who can’t compromise out, vote the ones out who want to damage programs Americans need out, let’s get the country going again, Change the Senate and Congress so that we have people who will compromise and work for us. Vote them all out and let’s make history America!.
