Healing Slowly/Republican BullShit/ Red Sox/Story Link

Healing from surgery takes time, it takes even more time when it is lung surgery to remove Cancer I am finding out. I had allergic reactions to the tapes and i itch daily on top of healing and hacking. It is today three weeks since the Doctor remove my middle lobe of my right lung, took samples of the upper lobe and sent all to biopsy to find it all as a stage one nonsmall cell cancer tumor, in the end measuring 2.9 centimeters in size. Yet, even with lots of walking, and breathing deep and slow I still hack at times, like something is still in my lungs I can’t get out. The hacking is at times brief, and if I am not careful can turn into a long session too. I am wondering if I have some fluid stuck in the good lung casing it all, today I will see one of the doctors and ask.

Rant Time: I am getting more and more pissed off at Congress and the House as each day ticks by, on their failure to pass a budget that includes Obamacare, and to keep America running fully! Stop acting like little school children who got punched in the nose and grow up Republicans, if you don’t fund the Government and Obamacare and the Government shuts down there may never be another Republican Elected to the Presidency for another 16 years!  Whatever objective you have in doing what you are doing is not benefiting your parties place in the American Public’s eyes and hearts! You already look like a bunch of jackasses as it is and cry babies, can’t get much worse can it right, wrong! There is an election in 2014 and 2016, would you all like to be out of office and have just democrats running everything and no say in anything? It’s coming at ya if you continue this bullshit! Cut the crap and crying, live, learn, grow and stop playing pattycake with the funding of government, and you will be one sorry bunch if it affects those of us on Social Security, Disability for veterans and others and more. You cut the funds to any of it and your asses may be run out of office physically by a mad elderly, disabled public not to count the ones taking care of us all, our own children, who will have to pay to care for us more.

Rave Time: Boston Red Sox baby! Go Red Sox Go, you have the eastern Crown and more than likely the best record in Baseball period and I hope the home field throughout the Division Series, American League Championship too I believe. Kick Ass Red Sox, show them why you went from last to first in one year, and the type of players and team you are! Ortiz, Pedroia, Napoli, and the gang have proven, baseball can be playful hard, fast and with determination once more and made all Red Sox fans determined to see another Championship Banner in Fenway, Ellsbury will be back too, and I know he will contribute to many wins. The Pitching staff is strong and the bullpen too, lets go Red Sox!

N.R.A. and Guns/Cancer Surviving/Alex’s TP Story!

Long ago, we had some great men in American History get together and decide to create a country with a Constitution and with freedoms for all. They didn’t look at color barriers, they didn’t look at racial barriers, they didn’t look at dividing a nation into two parts for any reason, they looked at creating a nation of dreams!  Their names now echo through the ages, and will forever more, Washington, Franklin, Jefferson, Adams, Hancock, and more. Their names affixed to a document that could have had each of them beheaded at the time the signed it, yet they saw the promise the hope of America and the promise and the hope of a country with freedoms for all.  Freedom would ring again, with a man from Illinois, who rose from a farm boy to a President in Abraham Lincoln, to  put back together the greatest Union in the world by fighting and winning the Civil War.  He swore he would reunited the North and South in one peaceful Union once again and did even though a mad assassin took his life. Amazing how, an ideal of One Nation Under God survived isn’t it?  It matters not what the color, race, nationality of the individual is, as long as you are American you are free and have choices you can use to stay free.  The sad thing is that too many foolish Americans believe certain laws and Amendments were written for the reasons they were not written. The Right to Bear Arms was not written so every American can have a gun in their home to kill other americans or each other, it was written  so every American had a right to bear arms to protect themselves from militia! Wake up, National Rifle Association, wake up Americans a country full of guns is worse then a country without guns. Yes your right, guns don’t kill people do, but what will you do when the same people you let bear arms and buy them start picking off NRA Members and leaders, because they hide behind the right to bear arms that you push for so hard, but, was not meant to be used the way you use  it?

Next subject, medical miracles and science. I became on August 2nd one of many Cancer victims in the world, who has to fight to survive from now on. Once diagnosed with cancer, one must gather themselves, and fight back in every way possible no matter what if you want to live. You tend to listen to Doctors, get second opinions and pray you can survive without losing too much of who you are and before the cancer can spread anywhere else in your body. I was one of the few lucky ones so far, whose lung cancer was localized in one lobe of my right lung and removed by the modern miracle of medicine and great doctors and surgeons. My surgeon has the knowledge to identify and remove the cancer before it spreads and then determine by the size of the cancer tumor what stage it is. In my case it was stage 1 and according to all I have been told I lucked out no chemo or radiation is needed by me. It has now been 20 days since my surgery and it was done robotically, the wounds are healing well and my breathing is improving as I try to exercise by walking and breathing deeply expanding my lungs. I am lucky enough now to be among those who call themselves cancer survivors!

OK, enough ranting for today as I say, one can only bitch so much before it get depressing! Lets try something a little different like a short little story. Here is one I share from my younger days, that involved my younger brother Alex, my Uncle Tommy and a roll of Toilet Paper and a phrase my Uncle learned never used again!

Uncle Tommy ran into the bathroom one day in a rush due to diarrhea and plopped down on the throne to go. Of course we all do the same , but poor Uncle Tommy didn’t check for toilet paper and got stuck without a roll! As he sat there pondering how to get off the throne without making a mess of himself my younger brother ALex came by. So,Uncle Tommy says hey kid grab me a roll will ya, my younger brother says sure, how much ya give me for it? Uncle Tommy Laughed and said ok kid how much ya want for it!. Ya know ALex named and a price and held him to it, and if Uncle Tommy didn’t pay he wasn’t getting off the throne! So no matter what ya do, never ask a kid how much he wants! laughs, Uncle tommy never did again and Alex got his 5 bucks for the roll!.

Have a good Day Ladies and Gents and Thanks for reading my blog!  As I leave you for the day, I leave you with the link to Alex’s Story and what became of him, sadly, I miss my kid brother and always will!

Boston Red Sox!!!!!!!!!!!/Republicans and Congress/Guns

Welcome to the Playoffs to my team The Boston Red Sox! I hope you win the Eastern Crown and  go on to Al Championship and World Series too. I love my Red Sox!!!!!!!!!Image

I tire each day of hearing how the Republicans in Congress will shut down the United States Government by October 1st, if Obama care isn’t repealed, it’s bullshit!  You shut down the Government check disability checks to veterans and social security checks and I promise you, a dam Republican will never see the Presidency again nor will they see many senate or house seats either.  People are depending on living off of these checks and like me are Disabled Veterans, disabled security check people and have voting rights too, do me up and see if the senior generation and we disabled, don’t do you up in 2014 and 2016!

Next Rant, Guns,  what the hell is with people who believe the mentally ill and criminally violent need to have access to semi-automatic weapons?  Why the hell would you give a gun to a child or a mentally disabled person or a criminal so they can kill you with them are you nuts, the NRA is sick!  The right to bear arms is in our constitution yes, but read the amendment and article closer, fools, it was a right to bear arms against militias not each other! Someday America will learn and understand and it will include the National Rifle Association and more, what the damn Amendment meant and was written for!  Maybe if one of the shooters start shooting NRA members and board members you people will get the damn idea and get it right!

       Image

On the  last Rant I shall stop today! I want to wish all a Happy Friday and a great weekend too! Thank You all for looking at my blog and reading it, I hope what I have to say makes sense and helps some out.

I leave you with one story I wrote some may understand it some may not:

In Short my Childhood in a short story!

Open Letter to The Minnesota Vikings!

The National FootBall League is a League I follow due to the excitement of the sport and the records set in it. The Trades, The coaches and players give all to the game and it is with a great pleasure I watch it as often as I can.

I am a fan of The Minnesota Vikings a team that has yet to win a Super Bowl. The Purple and Gold colors attracted me as a kid in the 1960s, and I stick with my teams win or lose folks, period. I stuck with The Boston Red Sox all my life till they won and still stick with them today ion Baseball. In Basketball it has always been the Boston Celtics, through thick and thin, I don’t advise them or the Red Sox, but I follow and cheer all on.

The Minnesota Vikings need some help I think in shoring up their defense as well as offense this year!. Sadly, their QuarterBack Christian Ponder, needs to pull himself together and move his ass. Secondly he must improve his accuracy to become a great QB.  Less Interceptions and fumbles would help greatly too.

In Adrian Peterson, the Vikings have one of the greatest running backs to ever play the game, they just need to use him better. Receivers for Ponder to throw to are there and  is a tight end thats decent. The Offensive line isn’t bad but can be shored up at the tackles if ya ask me.

The defense if Minnesota’s biggest problem period! The days of The Purple People Eaters seem to be gone, we need more rushers to go with Allen and then the defensive backfield needs corners and a safety that can keep up. Cam The Vikings ever win a SuperBowl well that my friends is the question that has been asked since the 1960s. To win they must improve the areas above period, and play with character, strength, pride and determination.

My Advise to Coach Frazier is simple, get cornerbacks, defensive backs and a safety. Add a rusher on the other side  and get Ponder to play better, and your in the playoffs. To win in the Playoffs, you will have to let Peterson run and run and cut back on passing. So best of luck to my MInnesota Vikings this year who started at 0-2 so far, I hope it can change and will stand with the team win or lose!

Surgery Results/Alex/Government ShutDown!/ Poems

September 19th, 2013. I am alive still my surgery went well and as far as I know it was stage 1 and no chemo or radiation needed, just further check-ups and scans. Yes I am down about a half a lung but I am capable of breathing and still operating ok. Healing is slow due to all the openings they cut into you, but in the end I would rather have irritation than cancer! Thank God for Doctors who do their jobs correctly!

Today, was also the birthday of my younger brother Alex who died at 30 years old , years ago now. Sadly, Alex divided himself from his family over differences with our parents who were overly physically and mentally cruel to him and all of us at times. I had to babysit Alex, and my sister and the baby boy in our family for years, before my entry into the service. I taught him as I did my sister and younger brother to read, play ball, and to draw and do art. But, as we all know Alex choose his own way, in the fights he had with his father, and disappeared on us all. God Bless You Alex and may you stay safe and happy with God now! I always have missed ya kid!

If The Republicans cause a shutdown of the United States Government on September 30th, we should shut off all their paychecks, and benefits till they come back and fix this bullshit. I don’t care if you lost the damn elections in 2004 and 2008, and President Obama did pass his Health Care Act that you don’t like, you can’t keep crying and hurting the American people because you want to act like spoiled children! If you can’t Repeal Obamacare then shut the hell up about it and get back to work running the damn country and paying the bills!. If you child did something wrong would you not pay for their health care till they straightened up too! Be responsible you idiots, grow up! The House Speaker and his Republican cohorts have had and said enough, we know you don’t like Obamacare, but you don’t have the votes to change it so shut up and pay the bills!

Stories: I know many don’t think of my writings as stories but they are just short ones. I haven’t written any story long enough to be classified as a  book as of yet, because my mind bounces from one subject to another each day. It seems too many thoughts abound in my mind for me to sit still and write a complete story or book. I also know my writings are not the best in the world, but at least I try to be productive folks.

Gun Control/Gallivanting/Health/Red Sox/Stories

Good Morning All. Happy September 18th, 2013. As we all try to understand the shooting deaths at the Naval ShipYard and why such an event would happen on American soil, the arguments abound and range on gun control, and laws protecting the people.  One undeniable fact for either side of the gun control debate is that people with mental illness do not belong purchasing guns of any kind or ammo for any reason.  I agree with this fact and I also agree that people with criminal records of violence don’t deserve the right to bear arms either, yet our constitution says, we have a right to bear arms in The USA.  May I remind both side, the N.R.A. and The anti-gun rights advocates, that the founding fathers, Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Franklin and more  made that amendment to bear arms so militias could protect themselves and their country from invaders not each other.  So, a reexamination is needed of the amendment and it need to be admendended one more time to disinclude those of a violent nature criminally or the mentally unstable!

Next subject today, a word I heard only from my mother’s mouth so many years ago as I grew up Gallivanting! Anyone else ever heard of this word in their lifetime today? I doubt it for it is seldom used to describe wandering souls exploring the world with a spirit of wanderlust and adventure. As a child I was told for decades growing up, I was a gallivanter , and I couldn’t sit still, I would wander and explore and experience all I could to be the best person I could be as I grew up. What I didn’t realize is why and how come I did it. It was in born in my soul and nature for my mother had it first it seems. Amazing isn’t it, when you stop to figure it out, it is a hereditary thing one gets from a predecessor. As I grew older and into my early twenties I stopped gallivanting and settled down to get married and have children of my own. I would call home to speak to my mom regarding her grand daughters, and she was never home. Finally, I got her on the phone one day, and the conversation went something like this: Hi Mom where the heck ya been? I have been out having fun she would say, enjoying life! I would answer I see and you called me a gallivanter did ya? And she would laugh and then we would end the conversation saying good bye. Gallivanting is an art mom would say, ya have to know when to do it and when not to do it, she did it when we kids were young and then when grown, I did it as a kid only. But the official gallivanter, roams, explores. travels and flirts when they can, enjoying life, they before they die, they look back and go where did my life go, and just smile at the end!.

Health is next, as I heal from my cancer surgery, my breathing gets a little better each day even though I lost a half of lung. My cancer they say is removed and no chemo and radiation shall be necessary at this point unless it comes back. I use my breathing devices to expand the lungs I have left and walk up and down my 200 foot driveway as much as possible also.  My hacking is spreading thinner and further apart, and becoming less and less. I feel better and better each day, and I give thanks to my sister, my wife and friends and family who supported me through this cancer! I do fear the coming winter season and colds and more, so I plan on keeping warm and cozy inside as much as humanly possible. I don’t need cold or more now!

Boston Red Sox fans we are now down to the magic number of three for the playoffs! Let’s Go Red Sox, Lets Go! Get the Pennant, Win the East and lets go in the Playoffs and kick ass!  can ya tell I love my Red Sox!

Go Red Sox Go/Semi-Auto Weapons/ Economy/NFL

Red Sox, go, Boston, Go! Boston Strong! As The Boston Red Sox close in on clinching the pennant this year only 4 wins away, I will forever remember my day at Fenway Park on Saturday September 14th, 2013 with the four best people in my life on that day. I started as a Red Sox fan way back in 1961 when I was 5 years old with my step-father at the time, who was a fan all his life too. Sadly dad never got to Fenway Park and we always cheered on the team at home in front of the television for each game we watched.

My Step-dad died way back in October of 1990, and never lived to see the Red Sox finally win a World Series in his lifetime, but I have seen them win two. I cheer as I read of them in the papers , hear of them on the radio and watch them on tv like he did, till this year, when I got cancer like he did and my mom did and my real father did too. Mine I am lucky to say was caught early and was in the middle lobe of my right lung and I had spots in the upper lobe also. I was Operated on on September 3rd and thanks to my sister and her man, I went to Fenway Park, on the 14th of September to see them beat the Yankees. was the best day of my life so far and I will always be grateful to my sister, my wife and Arman my sister’s man for taking me there to finally see it all. I was thrilled beyond belief and awed!

Crazy People with weapons with mass amo is my next rant today! Who the hell allowed an ex navy sailor who was discharged with for misconduct, on a Navy Installation.  This is becoming the worse thing in American History nuts who believe they are being pushed around, shoved around or ignored in a society made for all to thrive in. We need to ban all weapons except, hunting and hand guns. No more Semi-Automatic weapons, no more then six shots in a pistil or 8 in a rifle allowed. Congress needs to act on this stuff and I care not what the National Rifle Association says, innocents dying on American Streets on bases must stop!

Next Bitch, is with the state and federal governments of this country!. Stop telling us the AMerican Economy is improving at 7 percent or whatever. it is a massive lie and we all know it, especially in states like Connecticut. At one time we were the Manufacturing Capital  or at least one of  them on the east coast, now all the factories are gone. No More, Scovills, Chase Brass and Copper. No More Timex, No more places to earn a decent income for all. And wake the hell up people, if we have no money because we have no jobs, you really should stop building retail stores and malls! What is wrong with people, can’t you see America is hurting, invent something we can make, bring back jobs for blue collar workers!

The new NFL Season is now underway, and the teams that will need watching are The SeaHawks, Texans,Bengals, Dolphins  and they will be the surprises this season I think. Hang onto your hats for some wild shootouts between teams with fast offenses and great QBs.

Anniversary/Thank Yous/ Boston and The Red Sox /Syria

September 16th, 2013, My 13th Wedding Anniversary God Bless my wife for putting up with me!  You know you have a good relationship when your together 20 years, married 13 and you both live thru bad and good times together and can smile at each other across a crowded room or party and know what youre each thinking!

I want to say Thank You to my baby sister April and her man Arman Rivard for taking me to Fenway Park for the first time in my life at 57 years old, to see my beloved Red Sox beat those Yankees 5 to 1 behind Jon Lester‘s pitching! I absolutely hope the Boston Red Sox Organization and team know just how much wanting to see a game they played in Fenway Park, Boston motivated me to get well enough to do it and have fun 10 days after my lung cancer surgery! I walked Yawkey Way, I got a Red Sox shirt, I enjoyed the game, Jerry Remmy’s Place and fish and chip and a cold Sam Adams. Then After the game we went to The  Blues Restaurant and had a great meal before heading home. Thank You Boston and The Red Sox for the warm Hospitality!

Syria I hope will be solved now without AMerican Military might being used and I hope millions of Syrian lives are saved and no more chemical weapons will even be used again. It is sad to see a leader of a nation killed his own people to remain in power, isn’t it more logical to step aside and let someone take over, and have a country in peace once more?

Stories is what I shall leave you with links to next! I wrote them and I shall I am sure write mote I just hope they are enjoyable for some to want to buy and enjoy: “You Don’t Know Me!——-http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EKNERFC

Happy Sunday All!/Thanks/Red Sox

Well, ten days after my surgery for Lung Cancer I did get to Red Sox’s Fenway Park for the first time in my life. I sat on the first base line and watched my favorite team beat it’s hated rivals the Yankees 5 to 1. Was the best day of my life with my Wife, sister and her man Arman!  Arman bought me a Red Sox Shirt which I will treasure forever! I want to Thank my Sister and Arman Rivard for the biggest treat of my adult life and a great day at Fenway Park! I was indeed exhausted when I got home folks, and passed out smiling in my chair!

I want to say Thanks you to the Red Sox Nation and it’s Ambassador who called me on the Friday before the game, I was shocked and honored to hear from them! I love The Red Sox, Fenway Park, Boston and LIfe, Thanks all!

Fenway Park is the Most Authentic  and  Realistic and comfy down home Park in major League Baseball!
