      Things to do come to mind, each day I wake up and in pain I find, I can’t do this, nor can I do that, work has been over for me for over a decade, amazing isn’t when your only 56. The Naval injuries caught up to me at 46, after I served 16 years in the military, and the back and neck spinal injuries do slow me down. Then I have PTSD from childhood and military life, sleep apeana, and many minor things going on. So, the question really becomes how long does one go on living when so many things keep happening and your own body starts to fail you? No one can tell me anything that’s for sure, then we have the TIA, and a minor stroke that I had a few years back. Is fate beginning to tell me life is short?

        As a Disabled Veteran and one who enjoyed military life in three branches of service, I think did I do right in serving my country? I think I did, and because of it here we still sit, free and a republic and democracy thrives. I would never trade the United States for any other country as my homeland and I don’t think a normal thinking individual would either.

       That said, can someone please tell me what the hell is the deal with this election cycle and why the Republicans can’t make a choice? The Debates and Primaries will continue and the Republicans are still stupid enough to smash and tear each other down and no real clear front-runner comes forth, because of this circus they are running. If your going to bash and stomp on one another,not a one of you will ever beat Obama and The Democrats, you just keep giving him ammo to shoot ya down with in the General Election.

       We have had many subjects I have blogged about over the timeI have been doing this, but, none has been so stupid as recent news reports of an Affair between JFK and some girl in 1963. Americans are well aware of President Kennedy‘s ways when he was a President and years before that in the Navy and more. So why would some woman, come forward now, 50 years after the man is dead? Of course profits to sell her book, money is always the motivation and she claims it is to get it off her chest. She didn’t bother in 1963 to get him off her chest did she, even if he was the President and Married with children!. Sad fact isn’t it folks.

         Then we now have the found audio tapes, of what transpired the day Kennedy was shot in 1963. Tapes, that show he was to go to one hospital not the one he went to. No one answers the question of why that change was made that day, but it was. The Kennedy assassination after 50 years still drives theories, ideas, and points to facts, that it was a plot to kill him. Sadly the law and history can’t prove if the whole thing was a plan to kill him or not and if so what of Oswald, Ruby and others the fingers were pointed at? We shall never know, because our own Government doesn’t want us to know.

        Whether the assassination of our 35th President was a plot to overthrow the Government or not will never be known or released if it is known. The facts that get me is not the assassination itself, which I watched as a child on TV in school. but the history afterwards. Some questions come to mind for me always regarding it all.

         1) Did the failed Bay of Pigs have anything to do with it?

         2) Did the Mafia actually kill Kennedy?

          3) Who really was Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby?

         4) Why did Mafia Kingpins celebrate Kennedy’s death?

          5) Who the hell thought up the stupid single bullet theory anyway?

          But those are just a few simple questions, and believe me, I know my history and many things few realize regarding this assassination. What I don’t know is why the American Government would bury it all? No one will ever understand, because they won’t tell !.

       So as I close this blog today I think not only of Politics, not only of assassinations and history, I think of the past, the future and the search for truth! may we all get the truth one day, and may we live in peace!.

 

Thoughts of Life/ Sacrifices


      As we all know, none of us elected to be born, we were all brought to the planet by our parents if it was a natural thing that is, of course. We don’t ask for a lot, before we can, we accept what God, and our Parents grant us.

         We hope and pray for great childhoods so we can have great adulthoods and make lots of money and fortunes to make our lives easier and our loved ones too. It doesn’t always happen that way, but, it is what most wish for and work toward as we get older and have kids. We want our children to have more than we had and be happier than we were and it doesn’t always happen either, but we strive for it all.

        Long ago when I was a young child I dreamed of a life, filled with peace, love and hope and a family that really cared. Again it is not at all what I got, but, when you grow up you adapt to what you get and survive, don’t you?. Thats the part of life none of us can control.

       As we age and get older we go thru stages of puberty and sexual exploration and love and commitments and then have children of our own to care for.  Sometimes this works out for us and we have families that live in happiness and joy and get riches and fun. Then some of us, don’t get any of the good stuff and struggle through it all. It is an uneven balance, of things in the world that makes it go round.

      Some of us don’t get families like we wanted or dreamed of we see it all end in divorces for different reasons, so real, some false, some made up and some not. But, once a family is divided and pulled apart, can it ever come back together?.  Some do and most do not, the differences between the two parents are so great they are like opposite polls of a magnetic stream, who push each other further apart.

       As we grow older and older, we go on to have grandkids and wonder how they will show up and be proud and stand tall. We hope for the best for them and we love them just as much as we did our children too. In the end though it doesn’t always go the way you want and there are difficulties to life.

         I will always love my daughters, I have two by the way, each is unique and different in her own way. One is introspective and the other is a retrospective type. One is a introvert and the other an extrovert so to say. One is shy and quiet and hides, and the other is happy and gay and couldn’t hide if she wanted to. Funny how children turn out so different , isn’t it?.

        I wish as I think back, that I never lost the time and years I did with my daughters, the things I could have given them, the love and protection, the items I could have supplied them with the love, the laughter, the special moments. I didn’t take it from them, even though I blame myself, yet their mother blames me. The truth is not always easy kids, your mom came from one messed up family, and what happened to her is not my fault, nor is what she let you listen to and reinforced on you either. Yet I have done all I can think of to try to get to know each of you, I spent money, time, efforts, trips, gifts and calls, Wrote letters, and more telling you the truth of it all. So, I am now at my wit’s end, as to what to do next.

         When you get to fifty-six years old girls, you will feel, time pulling you closer to the ending, determined for you by God or your maker. You will then begin to look back once time slows down on you, and realize what your regrets really are and what you missed for reasons beyond your control. You will regret some decisions, and you will think twice about others and some just accept. In the end though you shall know why you did what you did and the reasons will be clear for you just as they were for me. Realizing ultimately, someone had to make the sacrifice so all could survive without destroying each other, so we ended up where we are today. I regret many things about the situation, but I do not regret preserving my mental health, and my daughters mental health too and giving us all a chance to move on and them to grow up. I did the right thing and will never, ever, say I didn’t.

       So to all out there, who get to the stage in life where I am now, we all review, look back and reflect on life as we age. I just hope your reflections, are clearer, nicer and turned out better than mine!.

Raising Hopes for Futures


      Home spun thoughts come to mind each day I wake up, as I remember back over my own childhood and think what was. No one’s childhood is one hundred percent perfect, and I don’t think it is meant to be. We all get taught lessons in different ways by our parents, siblings and friends and yes even enemies. We grow from these experiences and become who we are as adults. Each of us then take those past experiences and use them as a decision-making process to reflect back upon, to guide us forward.

       Some Doctors, scientist and professionals would say I am crazy on this point and I don’t know what I am talking about, but they are wrong too. There is no human survival instinct that makes us who we become, other than the instincts to stay alive and survive, No instinct exists to make us eat or we wouldn’t have eating disorders, no instinct exists to beat upon one another, that comes out of fear and pain you received in the past. These are just basic things, that I am talking about here.

        When you’re a baby, your only instinct is to continue to breathe and eat. As you grow you are then trained in what to say, how to speak, how to bathe, and clean yourself and then how to dress and take care of yourself and eat. All is a process we are taught, amazingly we turn into controlled human beings who can live in societies that currently exist in our world. Each nationality, culture and race, is what their own kind teaches them to be. So equality is there, but is at times restricted by teachings and that makes some more ignorant than others in certain areas and they still must be taught more.

       Each day across the globe we all call Mother Earth mankind destroys each other, the planet and it’s resources. The atmosphere is polluted, the waters too. Species die off and get killed for food, and wars happen and we kill one another. Why? Is it a balance system put into place by a God, or Mother Nature, or something else? We shall never know will we, but we all know it happens and exists in the world!.

        Mother nature controls the planet and around it all kinds of disasters happen daily, volcanos blow, rock slides, typhoons, earthquakes and more, tsunamis come along too. Anyone ever stop to think, the planet is trying to clean itself of infections and we may be a big one ourselves?

          Here is another view for you, stop and think before you say I am crazy ok, or, I make no sense. Clear your mind now, because like I said before about myself, sometimes my thoughts, don’t even make sense to myself, until I see them in writing.

       If you start at the microscopic levels on this planet,  one cell beings scramble to survive and on top of them are bigger more advanced beings, scrambling also. From the microscopic beings , we come to smaller insects, like ants, scurrying across the earth building ant hills and their little cities, and stomped upon by animals and mankind. Above the planet lies a Galaxy and a Universe and more and more is out there. Isn’t it amazing, how we all tend to have our own place in it all?. How does it all happen and occur in such a way, out there as well as here, in life?. Mankind is not destined to know these things or all the answers to them, but we are born with curiosity and keep searching for answers don’t we?.

      Human beings have reached far beyond our own planet in peaceful missions to the moon and other planets now, so why can’t we  all get along on the planet we live on?. Why can’t we compromise, decide together, and determine that humanity will survive longer if we all save the planet and  each other, by cooperating?  It is a  sad. sad thing, when decades after slavery is over, and Hitler is gone and more, we still see the ugly issues come up, isn’t it?. Why is there gay bashing, why is there race wars, and issues over the color of skins, or anything else?. Because we are taught once again, by those before us what we do today!. Parents need to teach their children, white,black, yellow, or any other race one big important factor, we all bleed, we all get sick, we all need love and want more of it!.  We all have emotions, feelings, and pain, but we are what we are taught, I come back to that again!.

        Go around the world and gather one person at birth on the same hour and minute if you can, one of each race, color, creed and nationality and put them in one place before they know anything at all. And teach all of them the exact same morals, ethics, values, and beliefs, and you know what, all will never care what color, they are, what religion they practice, what sexual preference they are. Societies create the values, the ethics, the morals and more that make us who we are, we don’t when we are young. So it is parenting, you are what your parents, your siblings, your family and your friends teach you to be, be careful what you teach your children now too.

       For yes people, the more we teach our children we all are equal and we all can get along the more it will happen in the world and here in America. The Hopes of Mankind and Civilization itself rests on the shoulders, the hearts and minds of the children of today. You want to make the world a better place for your children to live in, make it a peaceful one, by teaching equality no matter race, creed, nationality, or anything else.Raising Hopes for the Future, is Raising your children to all get along!.

Lets talk veterans and the benefits they deserve. I think all Veterans like myself who served their country and were injured in the line of duty, deserve to be treated with respect, honor, caring and the benefits should include all medical and dental coverage and aid needed to live a decent life. I see people who complain because veterans get eye care or equipment or dental care too. Sadly they wouldn’t need it, would they if they were not injured, disabled in service?. It matters not, where the injury occurred or how, unless it was determined to be their own fault, these veterans need help and their benefits ask me, I am one.

        Veteran’s Hospital’s need to be able to expand the services they provide and they need facilities and equipment to do so. Here in Connecticut, West Haven has the Veteran’s Hospital for the area. They work out of an old hospital with equipment that at times seems outdated and it is definitely over crowded with patients of both sexes, from all branches of military service. Yet they can’t get Uncle Sam, or Washington to finance a simple parking garage so patients don’t have to drive in circles to park and get there an hour early to find a spot? Why? It is all part of taking care of our Veterans and we deserve better, I believe, if we can give our lives, our health and our well-being to protect and defend the country and police and fight other countries wars, as ordered by the Commander-in-Chief, well, you get the message I think.

        Next subject, last night February 7th, 2012, I watched the Republican Primaries in three states go to one man and it wasn’t the front-runner at that moment. In a move that surprised the front-runner Romney and all pundits and newscasters, Rick Santorum, surpassed expectations and won all three. What does it mean for the republican nomination at this time and date?

         My opinion at times does not always go with the normal, but it does at times stress some good points. It seems to me Romney made some mistakes in speaking about the poor as he did and making comments on firing people, when referring to Insurance Companies. He needs to watch what he says more carefully and be more forceful and aggressive toward all opponents he faces in this election. This nice guy attitude and stance is not going to win anything Mitt. Wake up it’s a war you’re in and they will use every action, word you say to slam you aside. If you want to win, don’t be one hundred percent negative either, you have to walk a thin line and balance it all.

        Santorum I congratulate for his victories and his decisions to run as he did. The Former Senator, ran a clean, honest campaign in all three states, with very little negative involved. Mitt needs to learn from this victory by Santorum. It shows Mitt all that money you spend going negative against other Republicans could have been used in a more positive way and made you progress, instead of taking away from what you want!.

       Now we shall see what happens next that is for sure in this run at The White House and Presidency! In the end though, I wonder how many Republicans and Democrats and Independents and Tea Party voters, believe that any Republican can actually beat President Obama.  Before you can beat what is in the office in The White House, you need to be presidential in your actions, decisions and character and speeches too, and mean what you say. It’s gonna be a long hot summer for all candidates including the President.    God Bless the United States and it’s people as we face a spring, summer and fall of listening to politicians who will speak and not mean half of what they say. I hope Americans are smart enough to know, they will say anything to achieve the White House!

Aging and Responses to It!


      As we all age and get older, yes I know it is redundant, but who cares. We all tend to have things occur to us at different rates. Some end up over weight and bad backs and knees. Others end up worse with bad vision and hearing and still yet some of us end up with heart, kidney or liver problems or something like that. Isn’t smart to stop denying these things occur and go get help?

       I ask this question because I see so many people who are too vain or stubborn to admit their organs, or body parts are failing them and they suffer for it. The wife who can’t hear or won’t see a hearing specialist, the man who won’t get glasses but he can’t see beyond his nose. These are individuals with pride and vanity that should forget their vanity and pride and get help.

        The ones who deny anything is wrong one minute and then the next know there is something wrong but refuse to acknowledge it all or pay to get help. Silly isn’t it, but true.

       We all grow old whether we are male or female, we all gray or lose hair, we all gain weight and we all end up fighting our own bodies to stay alive and survive and live normal. Why can’t we just all accept, what happens to us and take it all gracefully and admit it and age gracefully. Women tend to get more make-up, plastic surgery and go crazy over diets. Men tend to go crazy over diets, hiding their baldness and blindness too. It is funny how the frailties of older age, get to us all no matter what sex, race, creed or nationality isn’t it?

          Talking about aging and time passing, what the hell is all this about President Kennedy fifty years ago dead now, doing an affair with some intern. Who really cares, he has been dead for fifty years folks, and the only reason a woman would speak up about such an affair this long after, is to gain fame and money. Do we really care what happened back then? Aren’t we all informed enough about President Kennedy and his sexual escapades already? And what does this woman expect to get out of telling her story of this affair now? What else to sell her book and make money is all.

       As we age and time passes us by and we all become some part of history where ever we are from or who ever we are, isn’t it amazing, that life is a mosaic of incidents and experiences that forms a pattern we all end up following in one way or another?

          Aging my friends is an unavoidable thing all species of life must do and we all face the fact sooner or later don’t we. We prepare for it and dying in our way, by medical testing, accepting it and in the end writing wills and testaments and instructions in how we want our bodies disposed of and where. Amazingly, when we are all gone from here, the world shall still be orbiting about, life will still be here and moving about in one form or another, and time shall never cease. Our response to aging is to try to hang onto life and prolong it, but is it what is intended by Mother nature? No one knows!.

 

The Stooper Bowl and The Stooges


      The Super Bowl ended last night with a New York Giants Victory in the final few minutes. A Great game between two fine teams who played with emotion, skill and guts.

         Now people of the United States it is time to get back to what I call the Stooper Bowl, the election season of 2012. The Republicans now have a front-runner beyond doubt in Willard Mitt Romney whom I call Moe. Moe is trying to clear up the problems with the other Stooges and remove them from his path to his destiny, he believes. Moe’s brothers are Curly- Gingrich, Shemp-Santorum and of course their age old partner Larry- Ron Paul. Like the Three Stooges from the old days they prank, poke and jolt and push Moe and he does it back. And it all looks so funny and nice for public consumption, everyone forgets, this is indeed a Presidential Election in 2012!.

      Moe has won two states and has some delegates behind him now and is charging for a third me thinks or is it a fourth. Lets see he took New Hampshire, and lost Iowa, lost in South Carolina, won in Florida and now Nevada, ok so three. Yet the other stooges won’t drop out and back their brother Moe-Romney because he isn’t conservative enough, silly!.

        A little advice for the remaining three Stooges may be in store!. One Curly-Gingrich/ Two-Shemp-Santorum/Three-Larry-Paul, the longer you stay in this race the worse you make the chance of your party winning in November. Second piece of advice to understand, money does not grow on trees boys, the money trees are about to get hit by a frost and deep freeze. If you can’t show a win that will propel you to the Nomination why would money back you? Wakey, Wakey boys, the facts are gonna bite you all in the ass!.

          Mitt Romney-Moe in my opinion is out distancing his opponents the Stooges, because he looks presidential, he acts it and he has the money to do so.The real question is this though, can he overcome his inexperience and  talk straight talk to the American people and can he out talk President Obama and get the facts straight? I doubt at this point if he can beat President Obama, the reasoning is simple, Obama is the Incumbant, his record will carry him through it and when you attack his record you will attack your own party not his. Republicans made the stalemate and log jam in Washington, not the Democrats. Wake up America, whether any of the Stooges, get the Nomination of their party, including our darling MOe-Mitt Romney, do any of them have a leg to stand on come November?
