Reelect, President Obama!!!!

Three days left to 2011, a year filled with wars, ending wars, political wars and violence on Television and in the world. Too many in the world believe the best way of settling differences is through violence and eventually they kill one another off leaving no winner. Sad isn’t it, when a race of humanity, which produced so many different societies, can’t all live in piece on the one planet that sustains us all?

We destroy the planet first and foremost by taking, taking and taking from it, we take the minerals, the oils, the fluids, the gases and we give no thought to how fast we are depleting what may be keeping our atmosphere and lands alive. Sad isn’t it, now, we are all searching and fighting over oil, and money once more, till another tyrant raises his ugly head and we gather and go we have to stop him or her too, and more fights and wars erupt, why?

From an American who served his country and got hurt in the process, believe me we don’t want anymore wars now. We can’t be the worlds’ police force anymore, America can’t afford it. The cost in human lives, equipment, time and effort is staggering as well as crazy. We need to for once mind our own damn business and live our own lives here.

That said and done, we face a New Year coming in 2012. Who will be the next American President or will we reelect who we now have? That is now the primary question in American Politics and it is rightfully so. Yet I hate to say this, by default no Republican out there is qualified or good enough to be President in one way or another they all fail to measure up. The news these days is even catching on as they find faults for each and every candidate who the Republicans have put up. There is no Abraham Lincoln or even Ronald Regan among these folks.

Many want us to believe the best thing to do is vote President Obama out, I disagree! No President is perfect and i am sure Mr. Obama will agree he isn’t too, but that being said he does what he can. He produced a Health Care Law that is saving millions of Americans medical expenses and prescription costs. He represents the American People well overseas and here at home too, he stands proud. While others cry and waffle and bail out or fight, Mr. Obama presses for solutions and action, economically, militarily and socially. I think that makes him a President worth giving four more years. There is no scandals of his life, no playing around on his  family, no hidden secrets from anyone of a nature that would destroy him. Do we want a President who is well-educated, well spoken, who stands tall and honorably and represents the American People with pride, then reelect Obama. You can’t ask a man to clear up and fix an economic mess that was created in eight years in four can you? Give him the same chance others gave George W. Bush, let Obama have his eight years in office and I bet he will complete the economic recovery he has started by the time he is done!

As Americans across the land prepare for 2012, and have now lived through a Christmas Season filled with less and having less have found out, it isn’t Obama who caused this it is the Republicans. In the end, Obama has tried to take a large bulldozer to the government and tried to clean up the mess left behind, give him a chance to finish what he started and I bet America will be a better place once more!

Who Shall Survive the Republican Primaries?

Who Shall Survive the Republican Primaries?.

Who Shall Survive the Republican Primaries?

The start of The Republican Primaries begin in January and many need to stop and look at these candidates and what they represent, or bring to the race. But as you do that, you better take a real good look at who you think has a chance to knock out an incumbant President!. In my opinion looking at it in that fashion, or way very few will honestly compete with Obama and be able to debate or handle him on issues.

Say what you will on President Obama, you can love him, or hate him, he does make America look stronger, he does work to stabilize it. He did get a Health Care Law through when all before him could not. He wants to shore up Social Security and Medicaid not tear them down. He gave many Americans a way to save their homes and survive. In the end he is also working on the jobs problem, and getting us out of wars, we didn’t belong in. That tells me he did a lot better than any Republican wanted him to.

The question now becomes do the Republicans have one candidate who can balance as many items or juggle as many items and make us look better in the world, than Obama did?. My Answer is no!, No?, Hell No!.

Among those left, in my book the following Republican Candidates shouldn’t even still be in the race, Rick Perry is number 1 in my book he should go home. Rick Santorum is a good enough person, but lacks the political power or push to win anything, maybe next time around for him.  Ron Paul is too radical and wild to win the nomination, he is not conservative enough or stable enough read his speeches and answers in debates. Sadly, I must also say Michelle Bachman, even though she has said some brilliant things so far and stands tall for womanhood, and believe me I like her running, is not going to get a Republican Nomination for president, if the Democrats didn’t give theirs to Hillary in o8, well you get the idea.

This leads us to the few remaining I have not named yet, Mr. Gingrich and Mr. Romney. Mr. Gingrich’s faults and past are now starting to seep out through the wood work so to say. Little things start the snow ball effect in the end that will bury him. You can’t be married three times, have political baggage and so many problems and hide them for ever, the American people will uncover it all soon enough.

This leave one man standing in my opinion, Mr. Mitt Romney and he has some baggage himself from his home state, but he is the least of all evils in my book. Can he win the nomination, I think he will, due to the political baggage and nastiness of the other candidates on the Republican side, as well as the lack of experience for some too. If Mr. Romney brings his family values to the plate . uses his immediate family in the election and speaks honest straight talk he can win. For the rest will stumble, falter, speak out of turn or be disregarded by the party for different reasons. We shall have to see, soon in January who fails to survive?

Looking Back, 2011 slow ending!

A little look back at life when your older is sometimes funny or silly or at times serious and ugly, but in the end it compiles quickly for the one living it. We are all actually, an accumulation of the experiences we have plus our emotional make-ups from our childhoods. The things your parents taught you, the way, you used that information and the way you felt about situations make you, who you are.

We don’t control many factors for sure like who we are born to, who we end up being raised by, or how they really influence us in life, with what they do to us or for us when raising us, do we?. Sadly it is true what I am saying. but once we are out from under the protection rainbow of those who did raise us, what we do next makes us who we are today or each day.

Life after all is a process of learning, developing, growing and changing, and as we get older we tend to use what we learned when younger to make our lives better. We try to avoid the mistake of our elders, we learned from our elders knowledge and how to react to things. Which makes us all the individuals we are today!

So, as the New Year now begins its approach slowly and over the final week or so, I think many need to sit back, and refresh their memories of the ones who raised them, taught them and influenced them, and made them who they are today. For me, the greatest influences I had were not always in my family, but from my friends I grew close to over the years, growing up.

I stop and would Thank, my mother for my birth and the care she gave to all of us, raising us. My Step-father who took on two kids not his own and three of his own and did the best he could. I didn’t always agree with all of their methods or styles, but we survived and got to adulthood.

The outside influences in my life were many growing up, I had surrogate parents in many places, in Ms. Johnson, Ms. Dudonis, Ms. Geer. I had friends who stood by me and still do today, I love them all.

My Sister and I have always been close and always will I love her more than the world. My First wife I respect for the years she loved and helped me survive. As I helped her, and I respected her decision to end it all. My Daughters by her were the greatest gift to both of us and they now know that too.

I learned so many things through relationships with girlfriends, lovers, and in the end military life, I pride myself on my social abilities when i use them these days.  So as 2011, slowly closes and 2012 is what I look forward to, I hope for the best and to see my life through.

I have now out lived the life span of my real father, who died at my age of 55 currently. I shall turn 56 if I make it in January. My mother rest her soul died at 59 as did my step-father, one day and a year apart in 90 and 91. The years have slowly slipped by and my second wife is with me always to this day, I met her in 93.

So, I want all to stop and think back at those who raised you, influenced you, helped you and developed you and think fondly of it all, for they are what make us all who we are each day. Have a warm and Happy New Year all.

A Visit from The Father, The Son and the Holy Ghost!

Christmas morning has arrived, we awaken and slowly open our eyes. We slide from our beds with dreams in our heads, and go to the bathroom and wash the sleep from our eyes. We put on some clothes and down the stairs we do go, to find the tree all lit and the presents under it. We wait for everyone to get up and smile and  think this isn’t rough.

The family then gathers all around the tree, once they are all up and join you and me. The presents are handed out one by one, as the camera goes off, with flash from a gun. Each present is opened and the joy does fly, it is amazing how fast the fun, flies by.

We gather with family and friends on this day and enjoy the company and love we get and give away.  May Your Christmas be filled with family and love and friends who drop by and give and get love. May everyone get what they need and want most, a visit from the Father, Son and Holy Ghost!.

Happy Holidays to ALL

The Flying Christmas Tree

Christmas Eve has begun, the season is tumbling on, The weather is warmer than normal and the days have flown by to get here. Christmas Eve, is still a family event in my book, but many like to visit friends or family. It’s a day of reflecting and remembering for me. I tend to think back on the best Christmas Eves I have lived through and believe me there were more than a few.

I survived each year to be presented with Christmas’s that were a little different in many ways. We had Xmas’ with love and care and ones with hate and laughter to hear. and some with love and some with fighting, and what about the year the christmas tree went flying?

I remember it well you see, we were living in the projects and it was Christmas Time. We had no tree just mom my brother and me. Our Step-Father and mom had fought that year, she threw him out was all we did hear. No Christmas Tree was anywhere, no presents around or music to hear, the outside yard was filled with snow, but no Jolly Fat man would go HO, HO!.

Suddenly, the back door bell did ring, I opened it up and to my surprise was my Step-Father before my eyes. He said hello and backed out of sight, and up popped a Christmas Tree that night. I let Dad in and he went to work, he put up the tree and decorated it till he hurt. He hung all the lights and balls with care, so we kids could have a tree to share. He said he had to run you see and said goodbye to my siblings and me.

We stared at that tree most of the time, until mom came and there she did find, the Christmas Tree all lit and looking fine. Her words became angry, her voice did raise, she said bad things and said Dad would pay. Then suddenly, in anger, with all of her might she threw open the back door and unplugged the trees lights. She held the door open with the pump, lifted the tree and out the door she did dump. It slid down the sidewalk with balls and lights breaking, as all of us kids stood crying not faking. The tree had flown in anger you see, which meant no Christmas for my siblings and me.

Then on Christmas Eve about eleven pm. the door bell rang once again. I sprang from my bed and looked out the window, there was dad his fedora on standing in the snow. Slowy , he was talking to mom downstairs, and till finally, he went and picked up the tree, brought it back in for all of us to see. He redecorated, with haste using what was good he could find, and lit up the tree before his bedtime. Finally in the end, the tree did stand, and dad and mom went to bed to wake up together again!.

Christmas Morning arrived and boy were we surprised to come down the stairs and have  a tree at which to stare. There around the tree piled were presents out into the room, of all sizes you see for my siblings and me.

I stopped and wondered what had happened, and what had gone on. All I knew now was Santa had come. Merry Christmas Rang through our house that year, the year of the flying Christmas Tree, and  a tear!.

Merry Christmas All and a Happy New Year!

Something to Think About!

Two days and Christmas 2011 will be with us. The Trees will all be lit, the kids jumping round, the music of the Season will be the only sound. The joy and laughter will come right and left, and some will smile or cry as of yet.

Christmas Time many see what they get, they smile and laugh and love it all yet. But far away from this season of joy, is a homeless child a girl or a boy. They get nothing for Christmas and they eat out of cans. and they sleep on the streets, even too mean for woman or man. Their lives are not changing without any help, they know they won’t make it, but don’t give a yelp!.

So, when you start thinking of what you got or didn’t get, and complain about something, stop and think of them, you bet. It will change your thoughts and change how you feel, if you see the world through the eyes of the real. They pray for a break, a home to sleep, they pray for some food and yes some heat. The clothes on their back are ragged and torn, and if you look closely they look so forgone.

Please don’t complain if you have a home, a place to stay warm and food to eat, at least you are not like them walking the street. Count your blessings each day, for they are so real in everyway. We who have more than most here in America. complain when we don’t get a gift or we don’t get attention, imagine being these children who also get nothing and have nothing, staring in your window, with eyes so sad and lips slightly open and freezing bad.

Give Thanks America, and I hope Your Holidays will be great and full.

A Little Holiday Message for all!

Yesterday , being the 21st, of December 2011, decorations went up and lists were made for bakery goods and groceries and more. We rushed around the house decorating like fools, bells here, a wreath there, and a small tree you see. Each year is a job of decorating and then undecorating later on, but we don’t care we do it on auto-pilot, each and every year. The children are grown and with kids of their own, the grandchildren are so much fun and nice, we get to spoil them and send them home, hehehe. It is all part of what makes the Holiday Season so good.

Not all have a good Holiday, and this year it seems, too many children and adults will lose their dreams. They won’t get what they want from Santa, or his elves, nor anyone else, you see. Their parents are out of work and on unemployment or disability ort social security. Money is tight and times are tough, kids may have to go back to non-electric stuff.

As the Holiday rolls on in and today is the 22nd, three days to go, before Santa’s big HO, HO. be thankful this year to not starve, be thankful if you have a roof over your head and a warm and cozy bed. Be thankful if you have a family and friends a place to go for time to spend.

This Christmas, even if you can’t give much or receive much, remember it’s not the price of the gifts, you give or receive, nor who gets what. It the spirit of the season, the family and friends and the happiness of being alive once again. Think back to the days, when Jesus was born, he laid in a manger and  was kept warm. There was food for him and a place to sleep, and his Momma and Daddy who prayed for his soul to keep!. Sometimes it is not the greatness of a gift, but the simple act of being there, that makes it all worth while. Be there for family, be there for friends, be there as a person and be nice till the end.

I wish all the a Merry  and Happiest Holiday Season, May your Holiday be filled with Peace and Joy!. May you treat all children correct, whether girl or boy. May the laughter ring and the music play, and May all the World Have a Happy and Merry Christmas Day!.
