President Obama’s Speech

President Obama made his Jobs for America Plan Speech last night on September 8, 2011. While I as one of the people who voted for him, do not agree with one hundred percent of his plan, at least he has one!  I belive he and Congress must look closer at trade agreements, unemployment insurance and other areas, but fully disagree with anyone touching Medicare, Medicade, or veteran’s Benefits of any kind, or Social Security.

Americans of all ages have paid into Social Security and now you are going to tell them  they will get nothing back for their money, that’s crap!. As a Disabled American Veteran who has no income, and lives on Social Security Disability, MIlitary Disability I think those who paid in like myself deserve their social security benefits when we get them and please don’t even think of questioning the military ones. Military  like myself who served for 16 years and got injuried in the line of duty deserve all of our benefits. I gave up 16 years, 6 discs in my spine, have sleep apenea, PTSD, and heart trouble, I need my benefits to survive.

Mr’ President the rest of your plan is fine, but if you give in and let the Republican’s trample upon Veteran’s Benefits, Social Security, Medicare or Medicade, the ones who live off of them will have nothing and our streets will be filled with disgruntled angry, ex military disabled veterans, social security disability folks and more. Create jobs  in other ways.

I agree in cutting taxes for companies, I believe in giving them tariff and tax breaks. I believe in extending the unemployment benefits and retraining of workers. Cut the trade deficiet some and balance the boards of trade with other countries. Lets level the playing field with China, Korea, Japan and Europe on trade. Lets educate our children and rebuild our infrastruture I agree.

In closing, I want to say one special thing I noticed. The Speaker of The House and  his Republican membership, are the most disrespectful bunch I have seen on Capital Hill in my lifetime. A President comes to give a speech on how to create jobs, and how he wants to work with Congress and they don’t even show or show any interest as he does so? Sad, state of affairs indeed!  As a voter and citizen of this great country, I say AMericans rise up call your Congressmen and women, call your Senators and tell them get off your asses and create jobs or lose yours!
