Comic Characters and Books


Well, 2012 is bringing comic book characters to the big screen again and again and the next big group to hit the big screen will be Marvel Comics’ The Avengers. An interesting cast fills the film with fun and games and wars to fight, before they actually make it all right. We have seen now Spiderman hit the screen, The Fantastic Four, The Incredible Hulk, Batman in many forms,of course Superman,The X-Men. All coming from one source the comic book industry, and the vivid imaginations of such people as Stan Lee and others.

       While Marvel Comics leads the way with its charactors at this time splashing across the big screen, Captain America, Thor and next The Avengers, DC Comics has to realize their characters deserve the big screen experience too, and must be done right. Green Lantern was done decently in 2011 and it was an enjoyable film in 3D, and ended with a  prequel to what I hope is a return to the franchise once more with Sinestro vs Green Lantern.

       What I await is DC Comics to produce a Justice League film with established characters like, SuperMan,Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern,The Atom and many more from their collection of characters. Use only the ones that you can portray as realistic enough to work, like Marvel did in the X-Men Series.

        Comic Books have helped encourage children to dream, fantasize, hope and get lost on drawn and written words and worlds for a long time now. Yet the price of comic books climbs so fast it is sad to see. Comics I paid a nickel a shot for in the 1960s, now cost over five dollars a book today, why? I know artist and writers cost to keep around and all that, but over five dollars a comic come on!. I stay with DC now a days, due to the prices and I buy only the one series I love period. I can’t afford to give up five to six dollars a piece for comics, I barely can make the current 2.99 price from DC.

       The Comic book industry, saved many children with stories of bravery and taught many children to read and fantasize as I said earlier, but once reality hits a person and they realize the prices they are paying well sales will drop I am sure. The economy is very tight these days and paper, ink, and art work does not put your children through school, pay the mortgage or rent or put food in one’s mouth to survive.

       I will never begrudge the Comic Book Industry the right to make money or pay its employees. But on the other hand in order to survive less and less can afford their prices to read and fantasize about different characters or story lines, or worlds. Be careful comic book creators and artists, don’t price yourself right out of business.

Dreams and Depression


     Dreams are made to make one sleep more peacefully some would say, others would say they are made to be invaded by nightmares and destroy you. Which is the truth is based on a couple of things, 1) your stability mentally, 2) Your family life growing up, 3) How you learned to interact with others growing up. As we all know mental stability is the first firm foundation for human beings, because with that we can clearly all see the world in almost the same light and study how to react to all that happens.

         Then we run into diseases and problems beyond our control, obsessive compulsive behaviors, bi-polar individuals, depression in individuals due to chemical imbalances or mistreatment by others. Sadly, all occurs to humanity on this planet and all we can do, those who are considered medical experts or normal individuals even, is offer assistance to them. Hopefully, we can help these individuals, or at least protect them from themselves. Pain and hurt is a constant reminder in the world to humanity that it still exists and goes on, believe me. If you pinch me do I not yell, if you cut me do I not bleed? In life those pinches and cuts, can be physical or mental and they can hurt or damage someone for the rest of their life.

       Depression is a state of mind when nothing and I mean nothing reaches you mentally, you don’t care what you do, or who does what to you. Your continuously put down verbally by others, no matter what you do it is never enough, you feel like you fail to reach what others have and never, ever get approval. People around you put you down, they disrespect you and you never fight back, it piles up on you mentally and ultimately, you may succumb to it and never be heard from again. Depression ruins lives of those depressed and all of those around them too, so that those around the depressed individual, run from them afraid of being dragged down with them. It is a sad world in which to live when you are depressed.

        I know there are Doctors and medications and programs and institutions for people depressed in America and they do a job too. It’s a good thing they exist all who need them, god bless the ones that handle these patients, the medical staffs, nurses, doctors and interns, are to be thanked for all they do.

          Mental stability can not be measured easily, nor can chemical imbalances in the body, nor can the damages done by humans to humans when raising them or mistreating them physically and mentally. Nor can humans read minds and know when someone is depressed unless, they pay attention to the depressed one. So, folks, here is what I say, Depression is as big of a killer as heart attacks, and cancer and unless caught, people go into depression and end their own lives. Sadly, not too many even think about interfering to stop such a thing and people die.

       Depression of the human mind and human soul is equal to lost hope and no desire left to live. Depression must be fought just as much as all diseases must.

Life Destiny,or Fate?


      Is life really a choice for us all, or were we all put here  for reasons beyond our control? I always though, each human being was put here to complete certain missions in life , and once we complete those missions we return from whence we came. But is that true, I really don’t know , I just draw on that feeling as my life drifts by, and i see others leave us here on earth.

        Stop and think now, we didn’t ask to be brought into the world when we were born, we didn’t have a choice in who we were born to,how we were brought up and raised did we. Fate deemed all of it or did a supreme being? And how would we ever know anyway, we are too busy trying to stay alive, and get done what we need to, like ants on an ant hill.

        Mankind is like the ants really we all blindly multiply at a god given rate and timing pattern, we scurry all across the planet, doing things at times we have no idea why we do them but we blindly do. We build homes and neighborhoods like ants and protect them and if they get wiped out we move on and do it all over again and again. While ants own the smaller world’s at their size and time, and place, till humanity or another species comes along and stomps them out, so goes the same for us their larger counterparts.

         Long ago when I was a kid, I used to study nature and animals and insects and more. I had my little microscope and would examine all things dead or alive under it. I think we all did it at some point in our childhoods, yet we don’t all admit it lol. As we grow older we tend to accept things more and live with things as they happen, it’s called adapting to society and environment. Just like the ants below our feet, we scurry about for safety, we build nests, we forage food and we multiply. When under attack we all like the ants gather and fight back. Stop and think, is mankind just a bigger species that without resembling ants, who are programmed at birth to do the exact same things as ants and other species do?

      What are we all really here for? Will we ever really know, what our purpose really is here? Will we ever be able to predict the future, control the future, stop destroying the planet or anything else? Is life just destiny or fate?

 

America’s Future and Past!


      Lately I have been blogging about the Republican Candidates and their run to capture the White House. Before they can even do so, they will need one candidate who doesn’t stumble over what he says, or doesn’t have more baggage he is carrying then all the airlines in the world. It’s sad when candidates for the world’s most powerful office, actually, don’t look like they deserve to run or manage it, isn’t it?

       Across Florida a battle is now raging for votes for the Republican Candidate and their primary. Millions are flying through Florida for signage, phone calls, ads on television and radio, all talking about four candidates who are talking about one another like little boys in a school ground playground in elementary school. Why?

      When the fore-fathers of America, Ben Franklin, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Sam Adams and many more gathered and discussed this country and it’s Independence, do you think they threw slanders at one another, attacked each other over silly things having nothing to do with running the country?  Or lets stop and think about Abraham Lincoln and  would he have fought and attacked his fellow candidates so hard he slandered them and hurt his own chances at the Presidency? I think not at all! Sadly political battles have become a three-ring circus that most Americans don’t really pay much attention to anymore. It’s not the robo-calls, or the TV Ads. or the debates, or money that gets us to listen, its actual solutions and common sence. One of these days one political party or the other will get this and listen.

      America is in desperate need of a person who can look into a camera and tell us the real state of the Union, not what they want it to be, or would like it to be, but what it is. Then give working solutions to correcting it all and get the congress to work with him. It’s not easy doing away with self-pride to get the best results for the country is it folks?

      I have lived now through Eisenhower, at least the end of his term, Kennedy,Johnson,Nixon,Carter, Regan,Two Bushes, Clinton and more to get to 56 years old today. Each President was unique in their own way of course and not all were great. Kennedy actually in his short time saved us from war with Russia, Johnson did Civil Rights that Kennedy started.Nixon opened up Russia and China and took us off the gold standard and out of Vietnam, and on and on. But the man or person in the White House has to match the times and problems for America for all to work.

      Also checks and balances I agree on folks and it does work in the American government, but when you elect one party the Presidency and the other  Congress you are asking for what we currently have gridlock. Gridlock stops growth, stops expansion, messes up trade and more, Americans you want progress if you re-elect Obama give him Democrats in Congress to move us forward. If you Elect a Republican match that in Congress or more gridlock will occur, we can’t get progress if these two parties can not talk and agree on anything can we?

      One more thing before I end my blog today. If the Republicans allow Newt Gingrich and his load of baggage to win their nomination, it will be one joke of a national election come fall. His temperament, his past. his infidelities and history itself says he will never be President, so why bother backing him and wasting the nomination on him? Don’t ask me that’s all I can say!

 

Florida Must Speak!


Florida is next for the Republican Primary Contest and so far we have three different winner in three different states, why?  Well, because each state is slightly different in what is wrong with it and how it thinks due to religious beliefs. It seems all in the end have religioius beliefs that color and sway their voting.

       As Florida is one week away now from having its say in the Republican’s choice for their nominee, the people of Florida have a big decision to make. When their primary ends, and a clear front-runner emerges in either Mitt Romney or Newt Gingrich, the last man standing Rick Santorum will more then likely drop then, and suspend his campaign too. By the time it becomes a two-man race we will get a clearer picture of who each man really is.

       If I were the Republicans, I would think twice about giving our nomination to Newt Gingrich a man loaded with old baggage from his past. Three marriages, Infidelity,Lies, the Freddie Mac controversy, and why was he finally done as Speaker of the House , investigate folks! Mr. Gingrich is indeed a good debater but in the end, how much baggage will be in the Republican Party’s way to get the Presidency? Someone needs to look and see!

       Mitt Romney has tried yes indeed to be elected before, and failed, maybe through of all that is left he is indeed the best choice. He isn’t in this for money that’s for sure he has plenty and spends it. He isn’t in it for benefits he has all money can buy that’s for sure. Can it be possible that Mit Romney is actually running because he wants to really help the American People not himself. I think if Mitt Romney can clarify a few things for all, he can get the nomination.

       Mitt, show us the tax returns and that hurdle will drop. Explain to the American people all about Bain and what the company really did and why. Steer clear of religious issues, not give up your faith at all that you love so well, just don’t discuss it so much. Explain to the nation why your home state, needed your Health care program you put in place and make it clear it should be done state by state not nationally. Leave Obama‘s Health Care Program alone, don’t try to remove it, improve it instead. Mitt do yourself a favor and the elderly and disabled a favor too, don’t attack Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security or anyone’s disability payments. find a way to plug the leak in Social Security by stopping Congress from borrowing from it.

       As January 30th, 2012 comes closer and this couid indeed be the pivotal primary for Republicans, the state of Florida its people need to look closer and make a great choice in this race. If you vote Gingrich, watch out the baggage will come flying out, his temperament will change, his aggression will show and he will lose against Obama.

       Ron Paul already said he doesn’t expect to win the nomination, but he does want some say at the convention is all, into the platform for the fall. Rick Santorum is a good man, but too inexperienced to run a full-fledged nationwide primary. So, Republicans the choice will be between Romney and Gingrich and if you choose wrong you will lose the national election come November!
