Something to Think About!

Somethings the world should think about comes to mind this am. Like do we ever know when a volcano can erupt and kill humanity? Do we really know where civilization came from or are we really guessing with evolution, the big bang theory and God? And what about is there life on other planets in the universe or beyond? So many questions, but very few real answers, isn’t it funny how that happens?.

I ponder many thoughts and ideas daily, maybe the biggest one is why diseases are in the world to kill humanity?  How will we ever find solutions to cancer or other deadly diseases? No one knows, but our experts keep trying don’t they? What fates did God intend for humanity and what did he put us here for? Do we really have any idea on this, I doubt it!.

We awaken and stumble from our beds and head off to do jobs created by people to employ and make life worth living for all. I know they come in different degrees and kinds and different purposes, but without them people would get lost, just look at the high unemployment rate now and how people stumble about! It all comes back to the real purpose we were all put here and given the life we cherish and hold on to for so long. Do we really know what that real purpose is and why we were created? I still think not we guess a lot and theorize a lot but no firm foundation has ever been proven, has it?

So many questions can be asked, but as we all used to say when I was young there is no stupid question, just stupid answers. One must look for information and gather it to survive and knowledge there is no doubt makes for a better civilization and world correct? What of the knowledge we really were not intended to have but do anyway? Do you really think we were supposed to know, how to split the atom and make bombs and rockets? Do you really believe humanity is supposed to know how many ways to kill itself off, like we do? Sadly, I don’t think so, but we keep inventing ways to destroy each other and the planet don’t we? Why?

Is it really vital to each of us, to actually play the old game of keeping up with the neighbors? Just because they have something we have to too? Is all the electronic devices we have really necessary or can’t we ever go back to pencils and pens?  The advancements that led to electronics such as I-Pads,Tablets, PCs,E-Readers and more, including game consoles like X-Box 360, Playstation 3 and others, what do they really do to our minds and bodies and personalities? Were we intended to have full-grown adults of all races, nationalities and creeds and colors staring at flat screen monitors or tv and pushing buttons on little controllers for hours or days at end? Just somethings to think about for all, stop and think when you have not much to do, and you may find when you do, you will find a thought worthy of both me and you!

News and Commentators

I grew up in the 1960’s , when Television was still black and white and just beginning to turn to color. The days when President Kennedy was in office and got shot by Oswald and Oswald got shot by Ruby. The days before humanity officially reached the moon and elections were covered seriously by news men and women who worked for the big three Networks , yes the old, CBS, ABC and NBC days when we had Harry Reasoner, Huntly and Brinkley and Walter Cronkite, all newsmen who gathered and held respect in the industry and on the air. So tell me what happened to this kind of newsperson with integrity and respect backing them up who can just report the facts? Where are they today?

CNN is the most popular news station on Television today, and it does have some good reporters on it, but then they are teamed with some bad commentators who are racial and bias and foolish too. I used to watch CNN, just to hear the news and see what is happening in the world today and that is always good to do, because when it just reports the news, CNN is great.  But when it comes to political coverage of Primaries and Elections, no one has the tools CNN has for counting the numbers, but, it also has problem commentators.

My biggest problem with any commentator is if they say one thing and then change it, or they color the news or thought of the day, with their own bias or discrimination in any way. I don’t mind a commentator who  backs a candidate or believes a candidate will win or lose. I do have a problem with people who color their commentary with racial remarks or constantly throw race into everything.

CNN has many good commentators and newsmen, so why keep newsmen or women who let race get to them on-screen and allow them to show how they really feel. And on the other hand why is CNN always running racial programs in their spare time, like Black in America, or Hispanic in America, and then constantly referring to the struggles of these races in America? Is it really necessary to do this ? My opinion is by doing this to any race, color, or nationality, you tend to put them under a microscope and people stare.

Humanity and civilization has made many mistakes against each other we all know it and we don’t need commentators throwing it in people’s faces 24/7 on a Cable Channel filled with News. Of all of the people I have seen on Television News with this kind of bias and discrimination and outright aggression toward other races, is Mr. Roland Martin. He can comentate very well on Election Coverages and he is fine when speaking of anything other than racial tensions or interactions. He is the first and foremost to step up and attack anyone who says anything against the black race or African-American Race. And I agree the African-American race did get a raw deal when they were dragged to American and mistreated, and I do agree race should make no difference in the land of the free. What I don’t agree with is, why an African-American with Mr. Roland Martin’s education and background can come on television and tell American not to discriminate against his race when he discriminates against other races. I can’t see Mr. Roland Martin accepting a caucasian person calling a African-American a black person, yet he goes around calling Caucasians white?  We are not white, we are not clear, we are not bad and will always be here. Fairness and equality says if you can point a finger at a caucasian and call us white, honkies, and more than we should be able to call your race names too. Yet we don’t all do this and the ignorant people in the world are the only ones who do. I love my news, I love CNN, I love Politics and more, I don’t love people who use words like White, Honkie,Nigger,Black, or any other descriptive name for any race on public television and can incite people to fight against one another.

The Red Tails of  World War 2 were honored recently, watch their interviews and their story on the big screen when you can. They went to war, flew and fought and died for America and the world not for the color of their skins, not for African-American pride or anything else, they did it to save American Lives in a world of war and to defend freedom, everywhere.

African-Americans, Caucasians, Hispanics, Orientals and more, we are all Americans despite what race, color, or nationality. That is what makes us the Greatest Nation on Earth to live in, that and the Constitution of The United States of America. In New Yorks harbor there stands a statue given to us by the French People, long ago now. and a sign that says give us your weak and  your homeless  and more and we shall build. At least that’s the general sentiment of it all, we accept all and we have for over 200 years. Can we now all  just accept each other who live under our flag, our Constitution, and on American Soil and forget discrimination please! Just report the news, just get the Election Results out and keep it news about Politics and not racial . No Commentator needs to be on air calling another race names, or disrespecting anyone.

Republicans might be making a Big Mistake!

Republicans might be making a Big Mistake!.

Republicans might be making a Big Mistake!

Today January 21, 2012 is the Republican South Carolina Primary. As all that are left are 4 candidates now the field has slimmed down big time. But even with the remaining 4 choices, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum and Ron Paul, there is no real front runner at this late date. Santorum won Iowa , Romney won New Hampshire and now it is looking like Gingrich will take South Carolina. The real question now becomes who do the republicans really want to face Obama in the fall election and who can win?.

My opinion of these candidates on the Republican side is not a good one by anyone standards or calls. The way I see it is the republican voters give South Carolina to Newt Gingrich they lose in the fall election, If they give it to Ron Paul they are not voting for a conservative but a liberal republican.  Give it to Santorum and you give it to a moderate republican with religious views and ideas that don’t match the party he wishes to represent. That would leave Mitt Romney, but again each and every candidate in these Republican Primaries have their own forms of baggage and problems.

I think the Republicans should think it over again in more ways than one, Newt Gingrich has more baggage then all of the remaining four combined. His record in Congress and as Speaker of the House speaks for itself. And how many conservative Republicans will trust a candidate who was married three times, asked for an open marriage from his second wife, and claims to be a Regan Republican and isn’t?.

Sadly as I watch the election results get ready to roll in and people line up to speak about the candidates I can’t help but stop to think, Will any of the four left be able to actually stand up to Obama ? I don’t believe they can and survive his tactics nor his speaking against them. I know, I know what many will say, it’s either Gingrich or Romney and that’s it today!. Well your all probably right, but in the end, which would be best for the Republican Party? I believe the man for the job has to be Mitt Romney, at least he talks sense, controls his temper, and may listen to advisors and his own party, can the same be said of the former Speaker of The House Newt Gingrich, I doubt it!.

So, here is what I say to Republicans across the land we live in, and i say it as an Independent, you choose to run Newt Gingrich against Barrack Obama you lose in November, no doubt in my mind.  While Mr. Gingrich is a rough and tumbler, fighter in debates and he can stand his own, when do we know when he willexplode on himself. his wife, his life or the american people and not be in full control/ And do we need an American President with tempermental problems and rudeness as well as outright aggressiveness to other nations? I don’t think so, so stop and think South Carolina and Florida who is next.We need economic solutions, a peacefull face towards the world and a President who will save Medicare, Medicade and Social Security, for all the aged citizens of today. I firmly believe to vote for Newt Gingrich is to vote for a person who can explode or get angry at anytime and who will make rash decisions instead of thinking things out fully. I just hope Republicans realize this before they give Mr. Gingrich the Nomination on a plater.

Racial Equality, Where?

The United States of America talks of racial equality for all every day of this nations history, yet each and everyday you run into unequally on the streets in the stores and in homes and more. I hear Hispanics attacking African Americans, who attack back, I see African Americans intimidating Hispanics, and Caucasians someone please explain why this happens in America today? I agree with many who say, Americans have no sense or idea of the history of each race, or color on the planet and are ignorant, we need to teach it in schools. For I have traveled the world over, in the U.S. Navy and I have met all races, all colors and most nationalities too, and I find more things in common then anything that separates us all.

Skin color my friends is nothing but a pigmentation and caused by genes. The thing to look at is this: we all have the same body parts, we all have the same organs, we all laugh, cry, scream and hurt, we all bleed. We all eat the same foods, we all go to the same schools basically and we all live in the same country and defend it. I tire of people who use skin color, nationality or anything else against someone, its stupidity at it’s best. America put up a shingle many years ago, that said give us your homeless, and we accepted all races, colors, creeds and nationalities, why can’t we all just understand this and get along?

Recently I was watching CNN, and they do specials on Hispanics, African-Americans but never one on caucasians. Why? Before you come up with it was the caucasian race that invented slavery, that’s crap too, they accepted it and tried to use it for their benefit true, but they didn’t invent it, it was a worldwide problem not just an American one.  We tend to point at one another’s mistakes, errors or faults and never let go, don’t we? Sadly it will destroy humanity and the world if it continues no matter what.

American is a country of all races, nationalities and cultures. We are the biggest melting pot in the world that boils over for all kinds of reasons. In the end though, we are all Americans, we all would fight for what we have and to keep it so no matter skin color, or anything else. Wake up folks stop the racial fighting and the finger-pointing and realize, humanity is one.

Leaders of each race, color, nationality, should all stand together on one stage in America and declare  all as equals and declare life as the one thing vital to all and tell their own race, their own color their own nationalities, to stop the bitter fighting, arguing, and racial bullshit and shake hands and come out togethe rto make the world a better place.

God’s Missions for Mankind?

Sometimes, no matter how hard you fight, or hope, you can’t win and other times you can. I suppose the balance for all of this, is in God‘s hands not humanitys.  I have seen now, five family members go from Cancer in my family alone in my lifetime, one old female friend survive it suffering as she does, and the newest of them all is my current wife. She came through the first bout of cancer over 5 years ago, and took the radiation and chemo as I stood by her, and she is here today. Reoccurances do happen it seems, and she can’t win I guess. The first time through we had 29 lymph nodes removed from under her left arm pit, and it went well.  This time we know not yet, how many tumors if any exist and how big they may be. But we shall struggle along and do what Doctors have said to do and see how it goes. The end result as we all know, is not in my hands, my wife’s hands as the patient, or even her Doctors hands, but in the hands of God.

Long ago when I was a very young boy around 5 of six years old. I used to attend church and Sunday School lessons on Sundays.  I prayed and drew pictures of churches and Jesus and more, and hoped someone would protect us all. As I grew older I have slid away from churches and religion entirely it seems and all seemed fine. But with this happening now once more I wonder, is there really a God who listens to us?

I do though understand one thing firmly about humanity and life, we struggle to stay here but ultimately time wears us down and we depart the planet to return to where we came from.  It is a fact of life for all human beings regardless of race color, nationality or sex, we all live, we all die at some point. In the end though some of us are taken too soon and it is sa dit happens and nothing we can do about it either.

I have a belief from when I was a little boy that goes like this: We are all put here on earth to complete certain mission, those missions are unknown to us, but we complete them without really knowing what they are. When we complete the final mission assigned to us we are recalled back to from whence we came. Which explains death by disease, illnesses of all kinds and accidents and even natural death. We all die, once we complete all we were put here to do, by the supreme being, or God. So do the best you can do in life, be good to all, be respectful to all and try to live in peace, for you never will know when you are to be called back from whence we all came.
